Devonian is a language associated with the species of the same name.

Noticing Lloyd's injured leg, Bleckt rang the bell and stopped the fight. This confused Lloyd, Roby, and the crowd, which Bleckt showed them the rules in his ledger which Source Dragons in a desire for a fair fight, forbade injured fighters before a match.
The Final Game[]
When Wyldfyre secretly swap books, giving Bleckt the menu from the banquet, she tried to read his ledger to see some clue to Bleckt's crimes but she was unable to read the language. She immediately ran into Zur, who recognize the language as Devonian. Zur tells her it is ancient form of his species' language, from the early days of their history. It must still be used here in the City of Temples.
Later at the victory ceremony, Zur and Wyldfyre exposed Bleckt's treachery to Roby who read the ledger.
