The Easter Egg

The Easter Egg[]

Sometime after encountering Jay within Prime Empire, the Ninja of Lightning energetically spoke with his friends about his excitement, though wishing that Zane and P.I.X.A.L. could have joined them. Jay then went on to explain that here, you earned points by playing mini-games, which could then be exchanged for skill points. In particular, one game he was fond of was Lightning Larrikin.

Jay then explained the basic premise of the mini-game to his friends: it was an adventure style game that also awarded a secret prize, an easter egg if you will, for whoever could defeat the final boss on your first try. As for what the easter egg was, you may ask? A Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu powerup. Horrified by this, the other Ninja attempted to dissuade Jay from seeking the powerup, reminding him that one corrupted Zane into becoming the Ice Emperor. Jay shrugged off his friends' concerns however, reminding them that that incident was in real life, while here it was in a video game. In spite of Lloyd's warnings, Jay then entered the Lightning Larrikin console to resume the mini-game. After a long time, Jay re-emerged with the Scroll and decided to activate it immediately.

To the others' horror, the Scroll called forth an NPC taking the form of the Ice Emperor himself! When Lloyd recounted his experience fighting the Ice Emperor in the Never-Realm, Jay insisted that this version of the Emperor was on their side. Unfortunately, his assertion would almost immediately be proven wrong when the Ice Emperor activated and began attacking the Ninja; the easter egg actually summoned a boss fight. Lloyd rushed in first against the boss but was swiftly defeated. The Ice Emperor then made short work of the other Ninja in quick succession, leading for Jay to inform the others that like all boss fights, the Emperor had a set attack pattern and a weakness they needed to exploit. By attacking as one, the five ninja were able to inflict some damage upon the boss.

In response to taking damage, the Ice Emperor discarded his naginata and grew to a massive size, now capable of hitting multiple players at once. Fortunately, the Ninja realized that the Emperor's weak spot was his back, and by working together to distract the boss, they were able to repeatedly inflict damage upon it with multiple strikes in the back. With one final blow, the Ninja defeated the Ice Emperor who exploded into a massive amount of credits. which the Ninja decided to use to purchase some special skills with. Jay however remarked that he was going to buy a new avatar for himself, to which Cole suggested in response that Jay should get some intelligence and discipline first!

Trivia[]

  • During the battle with the NPC of the Ice Emperor, the health boards work way too differently from the show with sometimes having more than 4 lives and restoring all lives after the battle. As such, the comic is considered non-canon.
