Yin and Yang![]

Lloyd and Akita continued their arduous journey across the icy wastelands of the Never-Realm in search of the Ice Emperor's forsaken castle. As they continue onwards, Akita remarked that while she could better keep up pace with Lloyd's mech in her wolf form, she could see better in her human form and asked for Lloyd to lift her up so she could survey their surroundings. With no sign of the Castle of Ice, the pair continued onwards, with Akita recounting the story of her choosing to Lloyd as the terrain grew more familiar. After rounding a hill, Akita spotted a massive platoon of Blizzard Samurai on the horizon, prompting the duo to retreat and search for an alternate route.

As they moved onward, Akita sensed a familiar presence. Could it be her brother? Following Akita's directions, the two made their way towards a scrap yard filled with objects left behind from the Never-Realm's past inhabitants. Akita then rummaged through the pile, discovering Kataru's dagger inside it; this is what she had been sensing all along. Lloyd then began taking the scrap parts to build something that could assist the two in their inevitable conflict with the platoon of Blizzard Samurai, noting that Akita's combat prowess was roughly as effective as that of a dog, much to her anger.

When Lloyd continued to doubt Akita's abilities in combat, she revealed she had the power to transform into a giant wolf by combining her spirit animal with the strength of her rage; even Lloyd had to admit he was impressed by this. At that moment, the Blizzard Samurai had discovered the pair and began their attack, focusing their offensive primarily on Akita, aiming to capture her for their emperor. While individually, each of the icy warriors were no match for a giant wolf and a giant mech, they kept on coming with their far superior numbers. Akita then leapt atop a ledge and gestured towards Lloyd by repeatedly tapping a certain spot on the ledge with her paw. Understanding that she wanted him to strike the spot, Lloyd struck it with his mech, triggering a massive avalanche that buried and froze the entire army of Blizzard Samurai. With a laugh, Lloyd commented that his mech's strength was the yang to the yin of Akita's animal instincts as the pair continued their journey in search of the Castle of Ice.
