Slow Motion![]

After successfully retrieving the Slow-Mo Time Blade, the Ninja and Ed begin making their way back to the Temple of Airjitzu aboard the Ultra Sonic Raider. However, their engine begins overheating, forcing them to come to a stop beside a temple, where they regroup with Jay who had sped off earlier aboard his Lightning Bike.

Unbeknownst to them however, Blunck and Raggmunk had been ordered to dig in this very temple for metal by Machia as punishment for their recent failure. Blunck grumbled that he wanted a break and pulled out food and drink, but both were slapped away by Raggmunk who irritably reminded Blunck that they weren't here for a picnic. In annoyance, Blunck protested that Raggmunk couldn't order him around as they were of equal rank, though the latter ignored him. As the pair continued digging, Raggmunk heard something stirring nearby and peered through a crack in the wall, catching sight of the Ninja with the Slow-Mo Time Blade. Realizing that this was an opportunity for promotions and forgiveness for their previous failure, both Vermillion Commanders burst through the wall and attacked the Ninja who were startled by their sudden appearance.

Despite being caught off guard, Lloyd managed to hurl the time blade to Kai, who then used it to immobilize the commanders long enough for Jay to shock them into their component snakes. After reforming, the commanders contacted Machia through their hivemind for reinforcements, and very soon, the entire temple was flooded with Vermillion Warriors. In the ensuing battle, the Time Blade made its way into Raggmunk's hands, but he lost it to Kai not long after. With the ninja once again in possession of the weapon, the Vermillion Warriors fled, abandoning their commanders to their fates. Cole then used his powers to control the temple's bricks and constructed a prison around Blunck and Raggmunk, leaving them there as the Ninja departed and continued their way back to the temple. Meanwhile, the two commanders were forced to use the pair of spoons Blunck had packed to slowly but surely dig their way out of their cell.

Errors[]

  • Ultra Sonic Raider is shown as a full vehicle in the comic, although the ninja only had Raider Jet at the time. However, Cole directly mentions this vehicle being a jet, so it's possible that the vehicle was fully drawn only to properly promote the set.
