Samurai X II

Samurai X II[]

After losing both the Forward Time Blade and the Slow-Mo Time Blade, as well as Wu to the Time Twins, the Ninja now found themselves searching Ninjago City for their missing master. As they searched, Jay declared that he found something, but to Lloyd's discontent, what Jay had found was a burger restaurant as he was hungry.

Meanwhile, a group of Vermillion Warriors stood on on a roof overlooking the Ninja. The Vermillion chuckle amongst themselves, gleefully noting that the Ninja had no idea of their presence or the trap they were about to spring. Unfortunately, the Second Samurai X took this opportunity to attack the warriors, knocking them off the skyscraper and onto the pavement below where they shattered into armor and snakes. Upon once again spotting the mysterious new samurai, Nya flew into a fit, still peeved that someone had stolen her armor and former identity of Samurai X. While Kai calmed her down, Lloyd suggested that they follow the samurai; after all, he could possibly be linked to the Time Twins.

After a long chase, the Ninja pursued Samurai X to a train station where hordes of Vermillion Warriors were hard at work stealing bits of metal, forcing the Ninja to reluctantly shift focus. To further worsen matters, a train was pulling into the station but some of the tracks were missing! Thinking quickly, Cole built a wall out of scattered pieces, believing that it would be sufficient to stop the train. He was wrong. At this moment, Samurai X reappeared and helped bring the train under control. As the ninja escorted passengers off the train and to safety, one asked Jay how he could express his gratitude, to which Jay replied by ordering him to flee to safety (or buy him a burger if he really insists!) Working together, the Ninja and Samurai X then succeeded in driving off the Vermillion Warriors.

Once the day had been won, Samurai X fled from sight once more. While Nya grumbled about the Samurai's disappearance, Kai tried to lighten up the mood by noting that at the very least, they could confirm the Samurai didn't work for the Time Twins. Lloyd then ordered the team to return to the Temple of Airjitzu so they could formulate a new plan to save Wu, but Jay once again expressed his desire for a burger. Relenting, Lloyd finally agreed to Jay's request as everyone laughed.

Trivia

Trivia[]

  • Unless the events of this comic take place immediately after "The Attack" and before the events of "Secrets Discovered," it is quite jarring for Nya to still be peeved about the new Samurai's use of her former suit and identity as Samurai X.
  • This comic also is one of the few comics to treat the world of Ninjago like the toyline, with Cole in particular assembling scattered LEGO Bricks together to form a wall to stop the train and muttering to himself it should work because the train was, "Made of plastic."
