Ready Player Ninja

Ready Player Ninja[]

Shortly after defeating The Overlord within the Digiverse, the Ninja are ready to celebrate their victory. Unfortunately, P.I.X.A.L. is acting very strangely. When Zane asks her what the matter could be, a different voice replies, demanding for the ninja to return to the Digiverse if they hope to have P.I.X.A.L.'s AI restored.

With Cyrus Borg captured by the Overlord's Nindroids, Nya is forced to operate the Digiverse in his stead as the original four ninja prepare to return into the digital realm. Meanwhile, inside the Digiverse, P.I.X.A.L. desperately attempts to fight off her Nindroid captors but to little success.

Entering the Digiverse once more, the ninja remark that the digital environment seems more bare than last time - an observation confirmed by Nya who notes that the Nindroids have altered it. In spite of Nya's warnings to exercise caution, Zane almost immediately fell off a ledge when spotted what he believed was P.I.X.A.L., only to discover that it was nothing more than her image projected as a hologram. Through the hologram, the Nindroids instruct the ninja to "capture the flag" and bring it down to the next level if they want to rescue their friend. The ninja proceed to do exactly this, smashing their way through Nindroids with little difficulty. After returning the flag however, a new path opens forward: one filled with swinging pendulums and a drop into a pit of spikes! Although Jay suggests finding an alternative route, a massive boulder drops from behind the ninja, forcing them to move forward or be crushed.

After braving the row of pendulums and narrowly climbing up the opposite wall, the ninja pass through a door and return to the familiar sight of digital New Ninjago City. As they observe P.I.X.A.L. and discuss strategies to defeat the army of Nindroids holding her captive, Cole notes that if the digiverse's New Ninjago City is an exact replica of the real city, then they could potentially sneak through the sewers to ambush the Nindroid Army. Although Cole's plan succeeds and goes off without a hitch, Jay accidentally alerted the entire Nindroid Army when he accidentally dropped the sewer grate with a loud crash!

Although the Ninja fight their hardest against the incoming waves of Nindroids, they know that they would soon be overwhelmed. Zane calls out to Nya to redownload their consciousnesses back into their bodies and the ninja manage to barely escape from the digiverse. As P.I.X.A.L. reboots and confirms that their mission was a success, Kai points out that their mission seemed to have exhausted Jay, who was now fast asleep in his chair. With a smile, Wu then suggests that they could give the Ninja of Lightning five minutes to rest while everyone laughed.
