Monster Mechs[]
One day, the Ninja are training in front of Steep Wisdom when Zane's old friend, the Falcon, made its return. Surprised to see his old friend, Zane immediately abandoned his sparring match with Kai to ask the Falcon what it had to tell them. In response, the robotic bird began to project a recording of an army of Nindroid Drones, who were constructing a giant Nindroid Drone to attack Ninjago City with.
Fearing that they would not be able to stop the giant robot on their own, the ninja raced to Borg Tower where they informed Cyrus Borg of the impending threat and their need for a similar robot by tomorrow to combat the Nindroids. Although Borg noted that the deadline would be difficult to meet, he hopefully expressed that it should be possible if everyone worked together to assist him.
Early the next morning, as if on cue, the Nindroids and their giant robot began their assault on Ninjago City. As five of the six ninja intercept the Nindroids on the ground, they are quickly overwhelmed by the looming threat of the giant Nindroid. Although Zane was able to timely intercept the giant Nindroid, piloting his new Titan Mech to combat it with, the mech alone was not powerful enough and Zane quickly found himself being overwhelmed. Realizing that there must be some kind of controller for the giant Nindroid, Zane called out for the Falcon to discover the source, but received no response. After switching to Falcon Vision, Zane saw to his horror that his friend had been captured by the Nindroids in front of Ninjago Doomsday Comix. Zane then urged Lloyd to save the falcon, which the latter obliged, bringing Nya with him while the other three ninja continued to fight against the army of Nindroid Drones.
After Lloyd and Nya rescued the Falcon from the clutches of the Nindroids, Zane ordered it to find the Nindroid who was responsible for controlling the giant one, noting that surely he could not be far away. Not long after, the Falcon discovered a lone Nindroid Drone standing atop a rooftop and snatched the remote control for the giant Nindroid from his hands. Without its external handler, the giant Nindroid now stood inert as Zane thrashed it with his titan mech, forcing the remaining Nindroid ground forces to flee. The battle had been won.
Later, the ninja returned to Steep Wisdom and Zane encouraged his Falcon to fly freely out in the world once more. Although Kai offered to resume their sparring session from the day before, Zane declined, noting that they all probably had their fill of action for one day. As the ninja retreated into the shop, Jay suggested for them to play video games - with Zane remarking that as long as there were no giant robots in them, he was down for it!

Trivia
Trivia[]
- Since in the comic, Cole is not shown as a ghost and Nya uses the power of Water, the comic takes place sometime after Season 11. However, it is unknown why would the ninja train in Steep Wisdom at the start of the comic, as it was sold by the finale of Season 5.
- However, it is possible that the ninja regained the shop at some point after ghost invasion as Wu was seen meditating there in the Dark Island Trilogy - Part 1.
- This also means that the mech created by Cyrus Borg in the comic is not supposed to be the same mech as the one used by Zane in Season 5.
