Portal Panic
Portal Panic[]
It's a Monday morning where the ninja have been invited to Gayle Gossip's show, where she asks them questions about their work as defenders of Ninjago, to which Cole answers by stating that it's just a matter of being the best Elemental Masters.
That afternoon, the ninja chase some henchmen who steal some appliances from a store and carry Vengestone. The ninja attempt to chase the thieves, but a mysterious portal transports them to an unknown location with a box, leading them to question where they are. From the box emerges a hologram spoken by the Elemental Master of Portals, who claims to be the greatest Elemental Master, challenging them to solve several puzzles to earn his freedom. At the same time, a large orange portal opens in the ceiling as the Portal Elemental Master announces their first challenge: to find the correct door while dodging objects that will fall from the ceiling. Immediately, a piano falls towards the ninja, followed by other objects such as a barrel and a chair. Shortly after, Lloyd and Cole find a way out of the room, but upon leaving, the ninja discover that their next challenge is to reach an exit door inside a maze of stairs connected to portals. The ninja try to reach the exit without much success, until Cole deduces that they must make the exit go to them, so Cole uses Earth to make a rock ladder to the door to which the ninja jump, passing the test. After passing through the door, the ninja arrive at another room with two doors and another box, where another hologram of the Elemental Master tells them that they must choose a door, as one will free them while the other will condemn them. With some reasoning, Lloyd asks the Master of Portals why he's hiding like a coward if he wants to prove he's the greatest Elemental Master. A portal opens in the room, and the Master of Portals himself emerges, arguing that he could defeat them all, but to do so, he'd have to recruit some warriors. Cole accidentally reveals his encounter with the henchmen, so the Master of Portals creates a portal to the current location of The Mechanic and his henchmen, who were eating hot dogs.
Cole takes advantage of this and instructs the ninja to use Spinjitzu to exit through the portal, knocking the Mechanic and his henchmen unconscious. Incapacitated, the Master of Portals exclaims that he will send the ninja into darkness until he discovers his power is no longer working. Cole explains that this is due to the presence of Vengestone, adding that he will be sent to Kryptarium Prison. Finally defeated, the Master of Portals curses the ninja.
The following Monday, the ninja return to Gayle Gossip's show, where she interviews them about their mission to capture the Master of Portals. Cole takes the stand, stating that it wasn't a difficult mission, claiming that the mission was child's play. From his cell in Kryptarium Prison, the Master of Portals watches the show, angrily shouting "no" at the Earth Ninja's statements.

Trivia[]
- The comic introduces the Elemental Master of Portals, making him the first Elemental Master to come from an installment with unconfirmed canon status.
- When being asked about his power being canon, Glen Lakin said that it is not in his power to answer.[1]
- However, it is stated that there is no definite amount of Elemental Powers in the realms,[2][3] so his power most likely can be considered canon unless the show states otherwise.
- When being asked about his power being canon, Glen Lakin said that it is not in his power to answer.[1]
- On the last page of the comic, there is a writing on the wall in Kryptarium Prison, stating "Pythor was here!". Since it was impossible for Pythor to write it when he was imprisoned between Season 3 and Season 4 due to being small, he should've written it during his second imprisonment before or after Season 15, which would make the comic take place after that season.
