History
History[]
Spellbound (flashback)[]
Dusk was a member of the Elemental Alliance. When the Serpentine broke the truce and attacked Jamanakai Village, which began the Serpentine War. She defended the village alongside the Masters of Water, Gravity, and Fire and they did a good job in holding off their foes; however, the arrival of the unbeatable Anacondrai forced them to retreat.
During a battle against the Anacondrai in Birchwood Forest, Chen manipulated the Elemental Master of Earth to turn against the other Masters, causing them to lose the battle. Eventually, they found a new way to defeat the Serpentine—through the use of the Sacred Flutes as a means of forcing the Serpentine into tombs scattered across Ninjago.
The Hatching (flashback)[]
Wu told the ninja about the Time Twins, starting with the Serpentine War and how the Elemental Masters fought back the Serpentine. Shortly after winning the War, the two Masters of Time betrayed the Alliance, leaving them with no choice but to fight back. Overpowered, Ray and Maya forged four Time Blades for the other Masters to use during their next encounter.
Lost in Time[]
Traveling from the future in the Iron Doom, the Time Twins landed at the monastery and the Masters were confused to see Krux and Acronix return so quickly. They fought them and their army of Vermillion to keep them out of the monastery. When they were outnumbered, "Ray" and "Maya" came to help. The Vermillion suddenly turned into snake form and fused inside the Iron Doom.
The Masters watched as "Ray" and "Maya" summoned the Fusion Dragon to defeat the Iron Doom. The Masters fought the Iron Doom as a distraction. When "Ray," "Maya," and Wu followed the twins into the vortex, Wu told the Alliance to drink Obscuritea to restore the future.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- Like several other members of the Elemental Alliance, Dusk's name is finally revealed in the Strike of the Serpentine book - a decade after her debut in the show.
- On September 21, 2016, Tommy Andreasen confirmed via X that Dusk is the Elemental Master of Shadow and not Light,[4] as she was previously believed to be the ancestor of Mr. Pale.
- He also said, "Or is it Amber using Shadow's abilities and look? Wow!"[5]
- This possibility was most likely disproved when she was referred to as "Shadow" in "The Hatching."
- He also said, "Or is it Amber using Shadow's abilities and look? Wow!"[5]
- She shares various design elements with characters from both the Ninjago TV series and other LEGO themes:
- She uses the hair of the Pretzel Girl from Minifigures Series 11, which was later used on child Harumi.
- Her face, torso, and legs are based on those of Stass Allie from LEGO Star Wars.
- She has the same face as a Stiix citizen[6] and an unnamed Sky Pirate.[7]
- The bird design on her torso is based on that of the Egyptian Queen from Minifigures Series 5.
- The bird design on her torso appears gold in the show but silver in her promotional art.
