Main Guard

Overview

“Hey, uh, I just wanted to say. Me and a lot of the other guys really respect what you've done for Ninjago.”
“Thank you.”
“It's not personal. We're just following the law, y'know?”
— The Main Guard and Lloyd, "Ninjago City vs. Ninja"

The Main Guard[1] is the head of the prison guards in Kryptarium Prison.

History

History[]

A Mayor Problem[]

The Main Guard responded to an alarm at Kryptarium Prison that was warning of an attempted breakout by Aspheera. Standing outside of the hatch to her cell alongside many other guards, the head guard intercepted Aspheera and those who were attempting to break her out of prison, pursuing them through the halls of Kryptarium.

Ninjago City vs. Ninja[]

The Main Guard broke up a hostile encounter between the ninja and several Kryptarium inmates, including Ronin. He then informed Lloyd that he had a visitor and escorted him through the halls of the prison. As they walked, the guard confided that he and several other guards looked up to the ninja, but they had to still uphold the law and keep them confined. Lloyd acknowledged his statements and insisted that neither he nor the others would make any trouble, a notion the guard appreciated.

Unfortunately, Lloyd would evaporate any goodwill he had with the guard when he seemingly attempted to escape from prison moments later, even swiping the guard's keycard to bypass the prison's security doors.

Kryptarium Prison Blues[]

The Main Guard broke up a food fight between the ninja and several Kryptarium Inmates, including Pythor.

Hounddog McBrag[]

The Main Guard oversaw the boarding of twelve prisoners (including all five ninja) onto a bus for the monthly litter pickup on Route 22. Once all twelve prisoners were accounted for, the Main Guard explained their job and that those who worked hard would be rewarded with some time in the sun and lemonade, while troublemakers received nothing - specifically focusing on the ninja as he spoke the last part.

As the bus drove through the Sea of Sand, the Main Guard and his colleague spotted an "elderly" man tending to his van, which had seemingly broken down in the middle of the unforgiving desert. Taking pity on him, the Main Guard asked for his colleague to stop the bus and both officers stepped out to assist. As they listened to the man describe the problem he was facing with his engine, the Main Guard surmised that the man's van had probably suffered a blown piston and began to take a closer look at the issue.

After some moments of examination, the Main Guard expressed confusion over the fact that he could not discern any notable problem to the engine. Unfortunately, it would turn out that this was merely a distraction for the elderly man's compatriot to break the ninja out of the prison bus. As the man drove off with the ninja in tow, the Main Guard shouted for him to stop, but to no avail. With the bus overturned, he and his colleague could do nothing more until backup arrived in the form of Hounddog McBrag, whom the man recognized for his reputation preceded him.

McBrag and his officers then briefly examined the site of the escape before deciding on a plan to capture the ninja, recruiting the Main Guard and his colleague into their mission as well.

Brave But Foolish[]

The Main Guard stood at attention and watched over the prisoners in Kryptarium's lounge as the inmates listened to a report about the ninja's efforts against the Crystal army.
