Legacy of the Green Ninja[]

Darkness Shall Rise[]

A police car is seen arriving to the City Bank after Acidicus, Fangtom and Skalidor break into the vault underground.

Pirates vs. Ninja[]

After Soto and his pirates were defeated by Nya, a Police Officer arrested them and thank the ninja.

When Skales was freed from prison by the Serpentine Generals, the Ninjago City Police chased them. However, when the police crossed paths with the participants of Ninjaball Run, they forget about Skales and joined the race.

Child's Play[]

After the ninja, regressed to children, were accused of stealing a sarcophagus from the Ninjago Museum of History, the police officers arrested them and brought them to the museum's curator.

Rebooted[]

The Curse of the Golden Master[]

A guard was on duty at the Ninjago City Aquarium. When he spotted Pythor disappearing, he sounded the alarm using his voice.

Prior to The Greatest Fear of All[]

When Soto participated in a number of Ninjago races and resorted to shooting the tires of his opponents' vehicles, the police were alerted and soon arrested the pirate captain. At other points in time, the police arrested various Nindroid Warriors who had resorted to committing petty crimes to gain money to maintain themselves, as well as Kruncha, who had been bribing his opponents to let him win in the Slither Pit at Yang Tavern.^[1]

Possession[]

Winds of Change[]

The Night Watchman was guarding the Ninjago Museum of History before he is possessed by Morro.

After getting a call from the museum, Lloyd headed there where the possessed Night Watchman takes Lloyd to a room. A short skirmish occurred and the Night Watchman is freed in exchange for Lloyd's body.

Towards the entrance of the museum, Noonan and O'Doyle were putting up crime scene tape. They were met by a wind coming from inside the building and fled in terror.

Kingdom Come[]

A police officer was seen with the Night Watchman when Dareth was driving the Prototype X-1.

The following events were undone due to Jay's final wish, and thus, did not happen in the current timeline.

Skybound[]

Infamous[]

When Nadakhan committed crimes to frame the ninja, the police track them down to Stiix, and later bring down the Destiny's Bounty and arrest Misako.

Public Enemy Number One[]

Upon learning Kai had updated his status, they track down his communication device to an alleyway, only to find out he put it on a rat.

Misfortune Rising[]

In order to locate Misfortune's Keep, Jay and Nya snuck into the Police Station to use their computer. At the same time, the Police Commissioner was present organizing a search for the ninja.

My Dinner With Nadakhan[]

The Commissioner, his deputies, and Ronin pick up Lloyd, Cole, and Nya from Tiger Widow Island after finding out they took Cliff Gordon's boat and told them they had been cleared of their crimes.

Wishmasters[]

The Commissioner told Dareth that the ninja have his men at their disposal, but the Brown Ninja sends them away. However, they stick around to help construct a Raid Zeppelin. The Ninjago Police later help Jay and Nya when they reach Ninjago.

The Last Resort[]

The Commissioner and his men try to hold Nadakhan off while Jay and Nya flee through a secret hatch. When Nadakhan caught up to them, the Commissioner ate their map to prevent him from finding them before he and his deputies were taken by him. When both Tommy and Simon were to walk the plank, Nadakhan learned of the Tiger Widow Venom from Tommy, making the Commissioner hate Tommy more before they abandon ship, near a shark, causing him to twitch his eye again.

Operation Land Ho![]

As Jay was bringing together a team to stop Nadakhan, the Commissioner was in the process of arresting Ronin when he beckoned them to come. During the chase of Sqiffy and Bucko, the Commissioner was able to arrest Sqiffy when Soto threw him off his vehicle and watched as the piece of Ninjago the others got on started to rise up into the sky.

The following events occurred after Jay made his final wish, and thus, happened.

Two police officers arrest Luke Cunningham.

The Oni and the Dragon[]

Two officers bring in a judge, who later attempted to escape, only to end up slipping on Zane's ice.

Dread on Arrival[]

The ninja and P.I.X.A.L. request the police's assistance when Harumi and the Sons of Garmadon kidnapped Lloyd and were planning to resurrect Garmadon. They provide the distraction for the ninja to infiltrate the Temple of Resurrection and later arrest the members after the ninja were able to stop the ceremony.

True Potential[]

The resurrected Garmadon attacks the station to break Harumi out.

Hunted[]

Firstbourne[]

After the Sons of Garmadon took over Ninjago, they replace the police officers as well.

Green Destiny[]

The police join the Resistance in order to break out of Kryptarium Prison and defeat Colossus. After Lloyd defeats his father, the police arrest the Sons of Garmadon and Garmadon himself.

March of the Oni[]

The Darkness Comes[]

Jimmy informed the Police Commissioner about multiple calls of a dark cloud taking over Ninjago City. When his crew assessed the situation, they see a towering cloud approaching them so they decided to flee. However, they encountered a dead end. Luckily, the ninja arrived in the Destiny's Bounty and the police officers were saved.

Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu[]

Questing for Quests[]

Trying to find crime, the ninja headed to the Police Commissioner, but didn't really do anything despite getting alerts from Jimmy.

Powerless[]

The Elemental Cobras continued to attack Ninjago City until the Commissioner and his department tells the Elemental Cobras they are under arrest, but one of the Elemental Cobras ignores him and spits fire at the Commissioner. This prompts the other police members to spray water at the Elemental Cobra; however, the Elemental Cobras quickly take out the fire hydrant and surround the Commissioner and his crew.

Facing certain doom, the ninja come and rescue the Commissioner and defeat the Elemental Cobras.

The Police Commissioner is one of the people who hid from The Preeminent.

Prime Empire[]

The Ninjago Police arrived to arrest The Mechanic.

Dyer Island[]

The Commissioner interrupts the ninja's interrogation of The Mechanic to inform them that Prime Empire had begun appearing on arcade machines all over the city. He then, gleefully, escorted The Mechanic to his prison cell.

Level Thirteen[]

A police officer removed arcade cabinets containing Prime Empire despite Benny refusing to let go of them.

Prior to The Island[]

Sometime between the attack by Unagami and the Battle for Shintaro Mountain, Ronin was hired by the police to assist in the hunt for the escaped Kryptarium inmates, capturing Fugi-Dove in the progress.

Seabound[]

Papergirl[]

While the Maaray Guards were attacking Ninjago City, Gripe told the Ninjago City Police to surrender and perish. But when he did, Jimmy and another police officer look at each other in confusion.

The Calm Before the Storm[]

While on harbor patrol, the Coast Guard went fishing, but ended up sleeping. However, he woke up when his fishing rod caught something, which was Glutinous. When Glutinous said that he needed to speak to the ninja, the Coast Guard took him to the Ninjago City Police Station so the ninja could meet him there. The Police Commissioner and Jimmy later learned that Kalmaar awoken Wojira and is on his way to Ninjago City, the Commissioner ordered Jimmy to have all the citizens evacuate for the Great Flood.

Nyad[]

The Police Commissioner and several officers were interrogated by Kalmaar about the whereabouts of the ninja. When the Commissioner refused to speak, Kalmaar threatened them all with bodily harm, though the Commissioner still refused to budge.

The Turn of the Tide[]

The Police Commissioner and several officers attended Nya's memorial at the Monastery of Spinjitzu, quietly paying their respects.

Crystalized[]

Farewell the Sea[]

The Police Commissioner and several officers were called to the docks one night to pick up Miss Demeanor's henchmen, who had been defeated by the New Ninja. After apprehending the goons, they continued to investigate the crime scene and were still present by the next morning.

The Shape of Nya[]

The Police Commissioner and several officers responded to the New Ninja's capture of Miss Demeanor and her henchmen, finally taking the villainess into custody. The Commissioner then thanked the New Ninja before departing.

A Painful Promise[]

Police Officers accompanied the New Ninja to arrest the ninja at the Monastery of Spinjitzu for breaking out Aspheera and stealing her staff. Although they did not confront the ninja themselves, the police provided support in the form of aerial transport to and from the Monastery once the ninja were arrested.

Hounddog McBrag[]

Following the ninja's escape from Kryptarium, Hounddog McBrag and a squad of Ninjago Police Officers were deployed to recapture them. McBrag and his squad began their investigation at the site of the ninja's escape, recruiting the Main Guard and his colleague to their mission before spreading out in search of the escaped convicts.

Elsewhere, a lone police officer encountered Dareth's speeding van in the Sea of Sand and gave chase. Dareth however, managed to shake off the officer by driving off the road and into the desert dunes, where the officer crashed his cruiser after striking a rock. The officer though managed to emerge from his wrecked car mostly unscathed, an angrily slammed his cap onto the ground as Dareth drove past him to get back onto the road

The Benefit of Grief[]

A police helicopter patrolled the Sea of Sand when its officers discovered two of the ninja standing beside a van in the middle of the highway. When the officers onboard realized the individuals were the ninja, they turned the helicopter around and ordered their quarry to stand down for arrest. However, both ninja, their accomplice, and the van driver responded by fleeing, forcing the helicopter to pursue. Eventually, the officers in the helicopter ended the pursuit by parking their helicopter in the middle of the road, forcing the van to come to an abrupt stop.

As the van stopped, Hounddog McBrag and the rest of his squadron approached the van from the rear, with McBrag pulling out a megaphone to order the ninja to leave the vehicle. Before he could finish his metaphor about the chase, however, the van suddenly sped off, forcing the officers to resume the chase up to the edge of a large ravine. Although almost all the officers broke off the chase when the van plummeted into the rushing rapids below, McBrag drove his own SUV off the edge and into the waters to continue the chase, much to the shock of his fellow officers.

In spite of McBrag's determination however, his SUV was stopped when Zane froze the entirety of the river behind the van to entrap McBrag. Upon realizing his situation, McBrag laughed at his quarry's clever tactics but vowed to continue his hunt until the ninja were all brought to justice.

The Fifth Villain[]

Having recovered from his dive in the ravine, McBrag and his squad continued their hunt for the ninja in their remaining two SUVs. As they drove through the Sea of Sand, McBrag revealed to his fellow officers the existence of Twitchy Tim's gas station, surmising that the ninja were planning to regroup there for it was the only service area for many miles. As they drove, one of the officers called Mayor Trustable to provide an update on their manhunt, during which the mayor emphasized they were not to lose any more vehicles.

Eventually, McBrag and his officers arrived at the gas station and stormed the premises in search of the ninja. After briefly questioning the station's proprietor, Twitchy Tim, he willingly gave up the ninja. Unfortunately, the police were then attacked by Fugi-Dove, allowing for the ninja to escape once more. Once they apprehended Fugi-Dove, they discovered to their fury that not only had the ninja escaped, they had stolen one of their SUVs and destroyed the other. Enraged by this outcome, McBrag angrily hurled his sunglasses onto the ground and glared into the distance.

The Spider's Design[]

McBrag and two officers arrive at the monastery to impound the Destiny's Bounty, encountering the Mailman in the process. While the officers took the Bounty, McBrag spoke with Wu and inquired about the ninja's whereabouts, though Wu admitted that even if he knew, he wouldn't tell them. With a smug smile, McBrag cautioned that Wu should do his best to assist the police, else their next visit would not be as friendly. As McBrag began walking back down the steps of the Mountain of Impossible Height, the two officers fired up the Destiny's Bounty and accidentally broke a portion of the Monastery's wall in the process.

Darkness Within[]

McBrag and several officers responded to a sighting of the ninja emerging from the ground of Ninjago City, but arrived just as the ninja escaped aboard Nya's Samurai X Mech. In response, McBrag angrily hurled his sunglasses to the ground in frustration.

Return of the Ice Emperor[]

In spite of Ninjago City's current crisis, McBrag finally caught up with Lloyd after tracking down the crash site of the latter's half of the Destiny's Bounty. With glee and satisfaction, McBrag expressed his intention of finally arresting Lloyd, who reacted with a look of incredulity and asked if McBrag was even remotely aware of the ongoing crisis. McBrag in response affirmed he knew fully well what the current state of the city was, but his last orders had been to arrest the ninja, and he intended to make good on it. Unimpressed with McBrag's mission, Garmadon nonchalantly prepared to kill him, but was halted by Lloyd.

After dodging a falling sign, McBrag noticed that Lloyd and Garmadon had fled into the sewers and quickly rushed down in pursuit. To his horror, he was attacked by a pair of crystallized Hypnobrai no more than a few seconds after setting foot into the sewers. McBrag was fortunately saved by Lloyd, much to his confusion. Lloyd then explained to McBrag that sometimes there were more important things than following orders to the letter and parted ways with him, leaving McBrag behind to ponder recent events.

Roots[]

McBrag solemnly watched the destruction of the Crystal Island and stood at attention while others around him celebrated in the streets. Later, he and the Police Commissioner would assist the ninja in rebuilding their Monastery, during which the Commissioner kept a careful eye on Harumi.

Trivia[]

They carried guns at the time of Skybound, such as when they go on a "wild rat chase" in "Public Enemy Number One" and when they are seen on the Yang Tavern TV screen shooting at the Sky Pirates in "Misfortune Rising". However, since Sons of Garmadon they no longer carry guns.^[2] The real-world reason for this is to keep the series child-friendly.^[3]
The color scheme of the police cars, vans, and helicopters used by the Ninjago Police are based on real life Japanese Police vehicles.
According to the Commissioner, the Ninjago City Police is very poorly financed, which the former mayor of Ninjago City was to blame for.^[4]^[5]
The password to the Ninjago Police system is "password".^[6]
In Legacy of the Green Ninja, the policemen had a more unique appearance and used the generic LEGO City badge on their uniforms, however, in Possession and onwards, their appearance is based on the 2014 LEGO City policeman.
In a Ninjago story in LEGO.com, they were known as the "Ninjago City Police" instead.^[1]
