After escaping from the Crystal Temple and the clutches of the Council of the Crystal King, Lloyd began to make his way through the harsh and unforgiving jungle of Primeval's Eye. Meanwhile, the Council were preparing the Golden Weapons for a ritual to bring forth the Crystal King, only for Pythor to break the news that Lloyd had escaped. Infuriated, Harumi dispatched Crystal Spiders and the Council out into the jungle to recapture Lloyd, noting that if they managed to turn him to their side, he would become a powerful ally.
Later, Lloyd encountered a lone Crystal Spider and easily defeated the mechanical arachnid. Unbeknownst to him however, Vangelis had been monitoring Lloyd's movements through the spider's sensors and flew off in pursuit of the green ninja, confronting him not long after. Unfortunately, Vangelis was immediately devoured by a carnivorous plant before slicing his way free with the Scythe of Quakes. In the ensuing fight, Lloyd accidentally tapped again into his Oni form, easily overpowering the fallen king and relieving him of the Scythe of Quakes. With Vangelis disarmed and unconscious, Lloyd prepared to kill him with the scythe before regaining control over himself and reverting back to normal, fleeing deeper into the jungle. As he wandered off, Lloyd was surprised and relieved to encounter Crabby again, thinking that the beast he and his fellow Ninja had tamed years ago would be able to lead him out of the jungle. Unfortunately, Crabby too had been infected with the Crystal King's Infectious crystals and rather than help Lloyd, he captured him and brought him back to the Crystal Temple where Harumi waited, declaring that the ritual could now begin.

- As the comics use the minifigure designs, Lloyd incorrectly has a golden shoulder pad and bandages on his torso.
- Lloyd uses his Oni Form despite not having used it before the final battle. Additionally, when he uses his Oni Form, he has his golden suit which reverts back to his fugitive suit when he stops using his Oni Form.
Errors[]
- The Crystal Council are wearing their outfits given to them by the Overlord, despite the comic taking place before the ritual.
- When Vangelis uses the Scythe of Quakes, it has been crystalized. However, in the last panel, when the weapons are in their places for the ritual, it is no longer crystalized.
- In the 22nd page, plant is misspelled as 'planet'.
