Meet the Ninja! is the 1st issue of the Ninjago Magazine. It includes 891501 Kai and Jungle Kai appears on the cover. It was released on January 28, 2015.

During their lunch in the Chen's Palace, the ninja heard a message from Chen, who asked Garmadon for a little talk in the Coliseum. This was an obvious trap, but Garmadon had no choice other than accept the offer. At the Coliseum, Garmadon was trapped in a cage, so the ninja now need to find him somewhere in the jungle. Kai suggested splitting up, but Lloyd declined it by saying that they are a team.
In search for Lloyd's father, the ninja went to a strange cave. There, they were attacked by Karlof. After defeating him, they found Skylor stuck in the giant web. They knew that she is their enemy, but still decided to free her, after which she pulled the trigger and the heroes have fallen into a river.
After getting off the river and finally finding Garmadon's cage, they were attacked by Gravis. After defeating him, the ninja found out that it was only a hologram of their sensei, so they need to continue the search.

- She is named 'Sam' in this comic, her original name.
- The fingers on Karlof's metal fists move separately which is different from the show.
