Under her father's command, she took part in the Tournament of Elements and served as Chen's spy to stir tension between the ninja and the Elemental Masters. Skylor's growing affections for Kai led her to betray her father. Skylor was latter used by Chen to turn his army into Anacondrai, she thenjoined the ninja and the other Elemental Masters in a fight with her father's army at the Corridor of Elders.
Following the Fall of Ninjago, Skylor and the other Elemental Masters would form a Resistance against Lord Garmadon's oppressive rule. Skylor would later copy Destruction in order to hopefully stop the Colossus. While Skylor was successful, the power caused her to fall sick but when Garmadon is eventually defeated by Lloyd, and his powers disappear, Skylor returns to normal health.
At some point after the Liberation of Ninjago, she went on a search with Chamille for her mother after seeing her in a vision.
A year after the Great Flood, she was recruited by the ninja to help them keep a returning Nya's water form stable in ice. She and the rest of the resistance would band together to fulfill the final prophecy of Quanish the Elder and stop the Overlord once more.
Accepting her father's proposal to participate in the Tournament of Elements, Skylor aided in recruiting the other Elemental Masters.[citation needed] She was present at the pier when Clouse arrived on Chen's ferry to take them to the island. Upon looking back at Kai, he became interested to learn more about her and fought in her defense when Karlof tried to fight her for her cloak. After Clouse stopped the fight, Skylor helped Kai to his feet, copying his powers in the process.
When the ship docked, she was the last to get off the ship behind the ninja. Trying to impress her, Kai shoved the others out of the way, though she paid no attention to his gesture. After Chen explained the tournament rules and had his kabuki show the Elemental Masters to their rooms, Skylor formally met Kai after he discovered her room was next to his. Kai showed off his element while asking what hers was, though she didn't reply and gave a small laugh when he let the fire in his hand get out of control.
When the Tournament started, she and Kai raced towards a Jadeblade on the roof. Although she came close, Kai threw her off a balcony and went back to save her, throwing her to the Jadeblade and causing him to go after one Karlof was finding. In the throne room, she and the other ninja were shocked Karlof had the last Jadeblade but cheered after Kai took the Jadeblade and won. Later, Skylor came out of her room while Jay was coming to Kai's room and narrowly missed seeing the Blue Ninja after the Red Ninja pushed him off the balcony. After comforting Kai about what happened to Karlof, she called him lucky for having his friends to back him up. Kai then went back into his room and waited for Skylor to do the same before going back out to help Jay. Soon after, Jay found eye-holes leading to her room, and Kai, upon hearing from the Master of Lightning that she was training, went up to see her element, though Cole assumed he was falling for her. Just as they were about to leave, Jay and Kai saw Skylor blast out a jet of fire, causing them to make the false assumption that she and Kai were related.
She didn't fight in any of the following matches, though she did worry for Kai upon seeing that he was meant to fight. She didn't see the first 2 matches between Griffin, Gravis, Neuro, and Bolobo, but saw Kai's match against Ash. Kai encountered many close calls but managed to win in the end much to Skylor's relief.
Skylor was announced as one of the opponents of the next match, where she went up against Jacob, the Master of Sound in a vase-smashing match to find the Jadeblade. As the match started, she struggled to find the Jadeblade due to Jacob sensing her movements, but she absorbed his powers and let off a sonic wave. By this point, Garmadon told the ninja her true element was Amber, the power of absorption. She nearly gets hit by darts but uses the holes they made to confuse Jacob and take the Jadeblade, winning the match. Kai cheers for her.
When the match between Lloyd and Chamille is announced, she found herself constantly helping Kai back on his feet since he couldn't skate. When the match starts, she asks him what could be gained should Lloyd be eliminated but when he says he doesn't think about it, she tells him he should before knocking him down. Throughout the match, she becomes convinced Kai being a horrible skater and indirectly sabotaging Lloyd was his way of getting him eliminated: as a result when he sabotages Chamille, she attempts to criticize him but he lashes out that ninja stay together, which she states she's not. Kai soon informs her of Chen's plan to take everyone's Elemental powers and she uses Gravity to keep the scorekeeper in check. After Lloyd wins, Chen declares he cheated, but everyone stands up for him, including Skylor who tells him if everyone quits there is no tournament. After Chamille's elimination, she warns Kai that the ninja are playing a dangerous game, and Chen will look for other ways to knock them out of the Tournament.
She was seen at the buffet with the other seven Masters and Garmadon when Chen decided to offer the Staff of Elements up for grabs. While dining, she finds the fortune cookie with Cole's message of breaking out with Zane, which was meant for the ninja. She then gave Kai the fortune revealing Cole had found Zane so he could still trust her; unbeknownst to her, Nya told the ninja one of their allies was a spy for Chen, putting her at risk of exposure.
In Kai's room, she accused Neuro of being the spy, revealing she absorbed his powers and nearly fought him. When Garmadon suggested everyone is checked for the Anacondrai tattoo, it soon came down to Skylor and Shade. She tried to guilt-trip Kai by saying he doesn't trust her, but he states he does; luckily for her, Shade ran off before she revealed her tattoo. She then hid her tattoo using Form and showed her back to Kai to mess with the ninja. She later told Chen about Cole and Zane's escape, acknowledging him as her father, and joined him in laughing in their possible triumph.
For the next round of the tournament, Skylor and the other fighters boarded a blimp and were taken high above the island. There, she was dropped out of the blimp with other finalists, then she caught a parachute and deployed it. After a little time, she landed safely on the island and started finding Nya.
A few hours later, Skylor met up with Kai agreed to search for Nya with him. After seeing the explosion from Jay's ElectroMech, Kai attempted to cross through a swamp thinking Nya was part of the explosion and Skylor offered an alternative: unfortunately, she made the mistake of freezing the water, which ultimately exposed her as the spy, as Zane wasn't in or near the competition, and she has to touch an elemental master to absorb their powers, which means she would have no way to use the element of ice without meeting him. Upon realizing this, Kai called her out and Skylor, proven guilty, sadly told him that she couldn't disobey her father, shocking Kai as he'd never thought that Skylor would be Chen's daughter, just his minion. Chen soon arrived and ordered Skylor to capture Kai, though Kai melted the ice, forcing Skylor to help her father from drowning. Kai ended up being captured and was left in shock with what Skylor had done.
In the Underground Temple, Skylor witnessed the captured Masters being chained down into position and looked away, though Kai told her Chen still needed her power. She told him she didn't have a choice in being the spy and was flattered when he asked who planned to have him fall for her as it worked. After her father took their powers, she told him to spare Kai as she saw inside his head and claimed he could be helpful in their cause: Chen saw that she liked him and granted her wish, releasing the master of Fire.
Later, she went with her father, Clouse, and Kai to see Garmadon and Nya, who were captured and chained up in the serpent's den. Upon learning Chen got Kai to turn on Lloyd, Garmadon grabbed and threatened Skylor to be released, though Chen called his bluff and he let her go: this ultimately left her angered that her father didn't even worry for her. As Chen and Clouse went ahead to plan the ceremony, Kai pulled Skylor back, not only asking her how she puts up with her father's ignorance but also told her of his plan to destroy the Staff of Elements. When Skylor asks why he'd tell her what she did, Kai states she let him go for a reason, with her feelings for him being the main reason, something she couldn't deny.
When the ceremony begins and Lloyd is brought in by Kapau and Chope, Chen has Skylor give up her powers, which leaves her with a headache. Chen proceeds to take Lloyd's Energy and has Clouse begin to recite the spell. Kai then has Skylor position herself beside him with the excuse of standing beside him in his moment of triumph. Kai then tells Chen he forgot the element of surprise, signaling Skylor to kick the Staff out of her father's hands and Kai uses it to free Lloyd, hold off the Cultists and freeze Clouse. Lloyd tells him to destroy the Staff, but Kai begins to become corrupted by its power. Just before he uses it on Lloyd and Skylor, the Elemental Masters' busts in and attack, causing him to drop the Staff. Kai grabs the Staff before Chen does and destroys it, restoring everyone's elements and allowing the ninja to capture the Cultists forcing Chen, Clouse, Eyezor, Kapau, Chope, and Zugu to escape with Skylor now their prisoner in the chaos.
Behind the waterfall, Kapau and Chope are ecstatic about guarding Skylor, and the fact that with most of the cultists captured, they're now in Chen's inner circle. Skylor messes with them to let her scratch her head, which Eyezor catches and growls at the two. Chen discovered Skylor absorbed all of the elements of the Elemental Masters and realized she could help them finish the spell. Chen has Kapau and Chope release her and he claims he was wrong about everything: however, she immediately catches on to his true intentions and points out the staff's crystal was destroyed. Chen reveals that it was found in the island's Crystal Caves and they could go there to complete the spell since her power melded with all the others while in the staff. Skylor points out taking everything would be fatal to her and turns furious when her father dismisses the point for his selfish gain. She then uses her powers to hijack a rocket board and escape, renouncing her father while doing so. Zugu tells Chen the Bladecopter is finished, to which he sends all the grunts after his daughter while he hops in the copter with Clouse.
Skylor sent a mental message to Neuro to warn the ninja of Chen's plans and they moved out to find her. As she escaped, she was pursued by Chen and Clouse but Garmadon and Cole held them off and while Garmadon dealt with Clouse, Chen pursued her but Kai came to her aid and with both using the power of Fire they created a smokescreen which blinded Chen's path of vision. This proved to give them time for Skylor to use the power of Form to turn into Kai and lure her father away from the area. As Kai and Skylor move to regroup with the other Masters, but they are captured by Kapau and Chope with a vengestone net.
Skylor about to be transformed
In the Crystal Caves, the transformation is revealed to have begun, Kapau reciting the spell in Clouse's place. As Chope finishes the spell (Kapau having fainted from its effects), Kai urges Skylor to resist the transformation. However, the transformation is completed which Chen cheers for, while back on the coast, Garmadon, the ninja, and the Elemental Masters try to hold off the snake-turned warriors,
Sometime later, Kai acceptance of her new form allows him to summon a Fire Dragon which the two ride to join up with the other Masters. They arrive after Chen's army escaped conquering Ninjago in time for Kai to support Zane's theory of facing his fear after he summoned a Titanium Dragon. Kai's encouraging words motivated the other masters, allowing them to conquer their fears to summon their own Elemental Dragons. The Elemental Masters fly back to Ninjago in order to stop Chen's forces.
Upon returning to Ninjago City, she was displeased as the citizens were scared of her Serpentine-like appearance, wishing she could still change forms. Kai comforted her by saying she has changed mentally. As Lloyd sent the Elemental Masters on guard patrol, she noticed her hand turning back to normal, discovering the spell was temporary. Upon arriving at the Samurai X Cave, Kai introduced her to Wu and Misako, the latter comforting her upon hearing she was Chen's daughter. She remained at the cave while the ninja, Garmadon, and Wu went to find Pythor at Kryptarium Prison. While the ninja and the Elemental Masters were chasing the Noodle trucks, she realized the trucks were pulling them away from the villages, making them fall into Chen's trap.
After the ninja and the fighters were split up and the next Serpentine War had begun, Chen exposed Garmadon's stealing the letter, causing Wu to angrily declare him as anything but a Master, to which Skylor prevented him from attacking his brother. When everyone returned to the Samurai X Cave, Kai remarked on how fast the spell was wearing off, as purple fumes were rising from her body. She was present at the battle at the Corridor of Elders and attacked her father stating she had a few "daddy issues”.
She then witnessed Chen being cursed by Arcturus ignoring his pleas for help just as she turned human again. Later, Kai gave her an invite to join the team, but she declined as she had the Noodle House to run, but would be run for noodles, and not an underground crime. Just before being able to give him a farewell kiss, a begging Dareth barged in, with Skylor promising to reintroduce his favorite item, the Puffy Potsticker, much to his relief. After promising to keep in touch with Kai, she left.
True to her word, Skylor took over the family business and was serving there on New Year's Eve when Ronin was present. The two briefly discussed their pasts, to which seeing his Aeroblade reminded her of the ninja.
The following events were undone due to Jay's final wish, and thus, did not happen in the current timeline.
While Jay was seeking help to save the ninja, he asked Skylor for help. When he went to seek help, she was kicking someone out, presumably a rowdy customer or a thief. She joined Dareth, Echo Zane, Soto, Ronin and the Police Commissioner to get to the new Djinjago. She later grabbed a weapon and fought off the Sky Pirates while Jay got into the Djinn Blade. Later, when the ninja, Misako, and Wu were free, she and the rest of Jay's team got ready to stop Nadakhan's wedding with Nya.
While at the Noodle House, Skylor was visited by Kai seeking advice as he had just discovered evidence suggesting that his parents were villains. Speaking from experience, Skylor reassured him that just because his parents were evil didn't mean he would fall victim to their path in life. The two were briefly interrupted by the arrival of Nya, whom was aghast to find Skylor there, as the Master of Water believed her to be the new Samurai X.
After confirming that she in fact was not the mysterious warrior, Skylor went to get the siblings noodles, only to return to find neither still had an appetite. Skylor then attempted to provide the two with some insight on the matter, but they were quickly summoned away by Lloyd. Skylor wanted to help them, but Nya cutting her off thinking she was offering them to-go boxes, leaving Skylor alone to finish the uneaten noodles.
When Kai visited the Noodle House and mentioned how a new gang was supposedly recruiting members, Skylor thought back to a recent encounter with a few guys in her restaurant who had mentioned the "School for Crooks." Though Kai was planning on investigating with Zane, Skylor convinced the Master of Fire to team up with her for old times' sake.
That evening, Skylor and Kai went to the docks, where they spotted and gave chase to the cloaked figure who was presumably the leader of the criminal school. At one point during the chase, Kai used Airjitzu, a technique Skylor had not seen before, to bring himself and Skylor closer to the unknown individual.
The two finally cornered the stranger, only for him to reveal himself as Ronin. He explained that the "School for Crooks" was in fact a criminal reform course, and the gang Kai had heard about was something else entirely. Skylor and Kai bid farewell to Ronin as he mentioned his appreciation for the Noodle House's Puffy Potstickers.
Skylor watches a cloaked figure hurry away from afar. Later on, she picks up Lloyd, Nya, Misako, P.I.X.A.L., and Dareth after Griffin, Karlof, and Shade saved them from the Sons of Garmadon.
Skylor takes the ninja and the Elemental Masters to a hideout. Lloyd asks about her powers and she reveals that her Elemental Powers have returned and says that his will soon do the same.
Skylor helps Nya in building weapons that could help them fight. She helps Lloyd in infiltrating Garmadon's base before Garmadon begins to approach them, Lloyd asks her to try to combine the elements she absorbed after she states she never tried that. Skylor is successful in cloaking them from their foe but is exhausted from the act and she remarks on learning a new trick, as her friends tend to her.
They break into Ultra Violet's broadcasting room, which disrupts her show and they take control of the broadcast. Skylor watches as Lloyd gives his message before he stops after seeing his previous loss to his father, Skylor noticed this on the screen and was worried as Lloyd was shaken. However, she watched as he regained his composure and issued a challenge to his father.
When the Sons of Garmadon attacked the Garbage Depot, the Resistance fought them. She eventually got on the armored vehicle with Lloyd, Nya, and Dareth. The Colossus stepped on them but P.I.X.A.L. attacked Garmadon, freeing them.
The remaining Resistance members try to comfort Lloyd. When they see a rat, she reveals herself to be Mystake. She told them she will explain how she was able to transform after she eats.
Harumi informed the Resistance that the Sons of Garmadon would find her. Mystake and Skylor come in carrying the Oni Mask of Hatred, but Lloyd refused to use it. On the rooftop, the Resistance thought of a plan to pose Skylor as a prisoner and Mystake as her captor, being transformed into Harumi. They would be able to get close enough to Garmadon, so Skylor can copy his Elemental Power to control the Colossus.
They set their plan into action, but Garmadon was suspicious when they noticed "Harumi" didn't add that Skylor can copy Elemental Powers. They were interrupted when the real Harumi approaches them.
Skylor touches Lord Garmadon with the help of Mystake. After escaping, she informed the rest of the Resistance about Mystake's fate and tries to use her newfound power to control the Colossus. After struggling, she was able to control Colossus for a while but was "poisoned” and rendered unresponsive.
As Skylor is unable to escape the Colossus on her own, she is dependent on Lloyd to carry her. They made it to the Battle Wagon and hit Ultra Violet with it.
When Wu and the ninja meet up with Lloyd, Nya, and Dareth in Ninjago City, Kai expresses his concern about Skylor after she is brought out of the Battle Wagon. Wu tells Nya and Dareth to look after Skylor while the others tended to defeating Garmadon and the Colossus. After Garmadon loses his power, Skylor wakes up in Kai's arms. Skylor is then seen celebrating with the ninja and the citizens of Ninjago, where she shares a sweet moment with Kai.
After the Liberation of Ninjago, Skylor began to experience recurring dreams in which she found herself in an unfamiliar village, one that rested within a valley surrounded by rice fields and snow covered mountains in the distance. And deep below ground in that village, there was some kind of chamber containing a pot or vase and a woman whom Skylor recognized as her long disappeared mother. Although she was initially ready to dismiss these dreams, the sight of her mother convinced Skylor that there may have been some truth behind them, leading her to embark on a journey to uncover the truth.
Unfortunately, since Skylor had no idea where to begin looking, she sought out assistance from Chamille, finding her hideout in the basement of Yang Tavern, where the former was appalled to discover it was filled with crates and boxes of stolen goods. Chamille however seemed glad to see her old friend again, and the two had some light conversation where Skylor explained her recurring dreams and her quest in search of the truth. Chamille was able to quickly locate the village from Skylor's dreams, a small village near Haunted Hill that allegedly was home to the best potstickers in Ninjago.
When the women arrived at the village at sundown, they discovered that the Red Star Carnival was in town. Skylor went around, showing the locals several old photographs of her mother in order to ask them if they had seen her while Chamille used her powers to mess with a magician and humiliate him. Unfortunately, none of the locals recognized Skylor's mother, and as the Carnival began to close down at nightfall, she was finally able to regroup with Chamille who suggested that they ask some of the performers. When they arrived at the trailer of Egon the Extraordinary, the magician, still furious at Chamille's earlier antics, used his wand to hurl all the pieces of furniture in his trailer at them. Both women easily dodged the furniture and Skylor quickly relieved Egon of his wand, noting that it was made from Chronosteel. After Egon apologized, explaining he only intended to scare Chamille away because her antics resulted in him not getting paid for the day, Skylor returned the whirlwand and ordered Chamille to apologize before explaining her quest to the magician. After explaining, Egon revealed his own origins, including that he had found the whirlwand inside of a tomb that was filled with other ancient artifacts. Skylor surmised that this tomb must have been the one seen in her dreams, and Egon agreed to bring the women to the tomb the next morning.
The next morning, Egon brought Skylor and Chamille to the tomb as promised. Skylor ordered her allies to stay behind and stand guard while she descended alone into the tomb. Within the dark chambers, Skylor discovered multiple artifacts fashioned from chronosteel and imbued with fragments of various elemental powers, although one thing stood out to her in particular: a white urn with a gold stripe that beckoned for her to touch it. After touching the urn, Skylor was struck by a vision where she saw her mother and hundreds of other people - all previous Masters of Amber. Looming behind all of these individuals however, was Skylor's ancestor, the Original Master of Amber, who then revealed to Skylor the origins of her element, leaving her stunned by the revelation. An intense burst of light followed and Skylor's spirit was separated from her physical body and was absorbed into the Urn of Enmity.
After recovering from her vision, Skylor found herself within a facsimile of the Original Master's blacksmith shop, albeit covered in hardened amber resin. Moments later, Skylor heard a booming voice and she turned around, coming face to face with the spirit of her ancestor, who congratulated her on following in his footsteps and using the Amber element to divide and conquer her foes. The Original Master then revealed to Skylor that following his defeat at the hands of the Sons of the First Spinjitzu Master, his spirit remained imprisoned inside the Urn of Enmity and he intended to escape by taking over Skylor's body and leaving her spirit behind in his place. With that, the spirit reached out his hand and began to drain the power of Amber from his descendant. After a brief tug of war between the two, Skylor disowned her ancestor's legacy, breaking his will and spirit by vowing to use her power to unite others rather than to divide like he had. With his will broken, the Original Master's spirit was released from the urn and sent to the Departed Realm while Skylor's spirit was returned to her body.
Upon recovering in the mortal world, Skylor found herself being attended to by Egon, who informed her that Chamille had abandoned them after stealing several of the tomb's artifacts. Skylor and Egon then collected the remaining artifacts from the tomb, which the former intended to lock up in the Borg Tower vaults. After Egon reluctantly relinquished the whirlwand to Skylor, she encouraged him to pursue his dream of being a magician before they parted ways. Skylor glanced at the Urn of Enmity as she reflected on her experiences during her quest, accepting that her mother was gone and looking back upon the legacy of her element and the brighter future she would pave with it.
Skylor surprises Kai and the ninja when she arrives at the the Hangar Bay. Lloyd explains that he contacted her (presumably via phone). She explains how she can use her abilities to take Zane's place in freezing and stabilizing Nya's water body, so that he can help out the ninja at Kryptarium Prison. After a few hours later, Skylor comments that she is unsure of how long her powers will last as P.I.X.A.L. tries to buy more time with cooling units. When her powers start to fade, she notes how the ninja were supposed to have returned hours ago and begins to console and comfort Nya to hold on in her frozen state.
While the ninja are in the midst of breaking Aspheera out of Kryptarium Prison, Skylor continues freezing Nya with the help of P.I.X.A.L. in the Hangar Bay. She exclaims her concern with how long her powers will last, but as her powers begin to wear off, Zane returns in the nick of time to continue the freezing process. She then replicates Zane's elemental power of Ice again to freeze Nya as the Ninja set off to obtain Aspheera's staff.
Skylor continues freezing Nya. She is again concerned about how long her powers will last, but she barely manages to last until P.I.X.A.L.. uses the last of the cooling machines and Zane returns to continue the freezing process. She later watches as Aspheera absorbs Nya's elemental powers and as the ninja willingly turn themselves in.
Skylor attends the ninja's sentencing and wonders if the judge will be lenient. Later, Skylor comments to Wu on Nya's sense of powerlessness and feelings of guilt following the ninja's sentencing to Kryptarium Prison. Wu responds that ninja broke the law and thus still needed to be held accountable and that Nya isn't powerless, recalling that before she became the Water Ninja, she was Samurai X.
Skylor and Dareth visit the ninja at Kryptarium Prison. In the visitor's room, the ninja tell them of Lloyd's encounter with a guy in a kabuki mask, who told him about the Crystal King and organizing a council. Skylor then informed them that Vangelis had escaped from his prison in Shintaro. As their visiting time is up, Jay asks Skylor how Nya is, and she says the judge is denying her visitation rights and that she blames herself for their incarceration.
Skylor and the others fight against the Council of the Crystal King and prevent them from stealing the Golden Weapons. Despite their efforts, they are eventually defeated in the end. MiniPix Seven manages to save her, P.I.X.A.L. and Wu from the rubble, and as the Monastery burns down, Wu tries to rescue Nya, only to be stopped by Skylor and P.I.X.A.L., saying its too late. However, Nya escaped in her Samurai X Mech, and went off to save the ninja.
Skylor retreated with Wu, P.I.X.A.L., and MiniPix Seven to the old Samurai X Cave and set up base there. Nya returns with the four original ninja, and as they are reunited after a while, Skylor hugs both Kai and Nya. After P.I.X.A.L. introduces the MiniPix Seven by name, Skylor thought they did not have names, to which P.I.X.A.L. replies it was the least she could have done after it saved their lives. Skylor and the others then discuss about what Harumi's plan could be with the Golden Weapons.
Skylor was present in the Samurai X Cave alongside her allies and listened as Wu explained Oni form. She later watched on, but said nothing, as Lloyd attempted to achieve Oni form but failed repeatedly to do so. At one point during the training session, Skylor sat down in front of the cave's computer, but grew uncomfortable after Garmadon exploded at Lloyd and called his efforts, "Terrible times infinity," opting to move to the side of the room while giving Garmadon a disapproving look.
Skylor arrives to save Kai and Cole from Pythor by absorbing their powers and creates a barrier to give them time to escape. As they hide in Benny's Arcade Emporium, under Kai's suggestion, they end up stumbling across Jake, who also went to hide in the arcade. That was when Skylor received Wu's transmission on a walkie-talkie which included the motto, 'the news never sleeps', it got them to realize Wu is at the newspaper warehouse. Arriving there, and the paperboys taking care of any crystal zombies, Antonia escorts them inside, where they watch Jake reunite with his parents.
While serving noodles to the survivors, Kai and Skylor use the time to talk about complications in their relationship, during which Skylor called out Kai for never reaching out since the Liberation of Ninjago and leaving her feeling forgotten. Nevertheless, she was willing to give Kai another chance, suggesting that they save the world first before discussing more about their relationship.
Skylor later participated in planning the Resistance's next steps, particularly a mission to send a message to Shintaro to request reinforcements.
Skylor was among the many people who cheered for the ninja's victory before she, Wu, Misako and P.I.X.A.L. meet up with them, Garmadon and a redeemed Harumi. A week later, Skylor assists in rebuilding the monastery, where she and Kai interact, which is interrupted by Dareth.
Following their victory during the Final prophecy of Quanish the Elder, Skylor returned to running Chen's Noodle House, where she would be visited every day by Kai who had since become demoralized and directionless after losing his powers. One day, Skylor tried to encourage her boyfriend into refinding his lost spark, though Kai shrugged off her suggestions. After throwing out the Rotten Rabbits from her restaurant, Skylor and Kai listened to a news report claiming that Fire Fang, the Elemental Cobra once mounted by Aspheera long thought to be gone, had been seen terrorizing a far off village. Upon hearing this report, Kai suddenly perked up, believing that he could regain his power over fire by defeating Fire Fang.
Before he could run out the door however, Skylor stopped him, urging for Kai to show some restraint and to think things out before rushing off without a plan to confront the fiery serpent. When Kai agreed to her suggestions and left for the night, Skylor made some calls to NGTV and received the coordinates of the village that Fire Fang had allegedly been spotted at. The next morning, she greeted Kai in her restaurant's delivery tuk-tuk and offered him a ride for their journey, during which the pair spoke about a variety of topics. Upon arriving at the village, several hours later, the pair learned from the locals about the Fire Fiends, a local cult that operated from the Lake of Fire and now worshipped Fire Fang as a deity. Before they could make any other moves, the village came under attack by the Fire Fiends.
In the ensuing battle, Skylor toppled a large water tower to douse the incendiary weaponry used by the Fire Fiends while Kai subsequently mopped them up and forced them to retreat. When Skylor complimented Kai on his fighting and remarked that they made a great team, Kai suddenly snapped at her, insisting that he didn't need her help. In annoyance, Skylor stated that she was trying her best to be patient, as she knew Kai was going through a lot lately, but her patience was starting to wear thin. Although Kai quickly apologized, the two rode on in silence to the Lake of Fire. Upon arriving at the burning gas crater, Kai spotted a nearby cavern and determined it to be Fire Fang's hiding spot. As the two made their way towards the entrance to the cave, the ground beneath Kai suddenly gave way and he began falling into the flames below, though Skylor managed to save him just in time. Rather than express gratitude however, Kai once again angrily rebuffed his girlfriend, this time looking at her right in the eyes and flatly telling her that he didn't need her. Hurt from his words, Skylor mumbled "good luck" under her breath, offering Kai some parting advice to be wary of any other booby traps, before turning around and leaving. Once Kai was out of sight however, Skylor went back after him, knowing fully well that he was most likely going to die if left on his own.
As she rushed through the cave tunnels, Skylor arrived just in time to shield Kai from one of Fire Fang's blasts, grabbing a trash can lid to protect him from the giant serpent's fire breath. When Kai expressed surprise over her return, Skylor affirmed her previous statement, noting that her boyfriend had not been himself lately. When Kai rediscovered his power over fire, Skylor copied his element and the two made swift work of the pursuing Fire Fiends. Fire Fang however, took a bit more finesse, with both Elemental Masters moving in sync to launch brutal physical assaults on the giant serpent, eventually succeeding in knocking it out of the crater where he collapsed from his injuries. At that moment, the villagers from earlier arrived and assisted Skylor and Kai in pulling down the massive sculpture of Fire Fang onto the Lake of Fire, burying the gas crater and snuffing out its eternal flames. Turning their attention now back to Fire Fang, Skylor and Kai discovered to their surprise that the serpent had vanished. While Skylor suggested he could have recovered and escaped, Kai pondered whether he had dissipated back into Elemental Energy like the other Elemental Cobras he and the other Ninja had fought years prior. Neither knew for sure and instead made their way back to Ninjago City to help clean up the recent surge in crime.

In Hunted, her sleeves are now gunmetal gray to match her armor, with the right half of her torso covered by it. She also wears dark red gloves and a red utility belt.
In her Anacondrai form, Skylor has purple skin covered by scales. Her hair and lips become purple as well, and her eyebrows become black. Her outfit remains the same, but with some parts of it torn, such as her arms and waist, where she has a long purple tail like the others.
In "Saving Faith," when she fought for control for Colossus, Skylor's eyes turn purple from being "poisoned." This was reversed in "Green Destiny" when Garmadon lost his powers.

Abilities[]
Amber: Skylor is a powerful user of the elemental power of Amber. Which she inherited from her mother allowing her to absorb, replicate and combined the powers of other Elemental Masters by only physical contact. When Skylor replicates an Elemental Master's powers, she also takes time to learn how to use them and record an attack technique to use it as their own.
Skilled combat: Skylor has shown that she is a very capable hand-to-hand combatant, especially when she has her powers or additional weaponry. During the period that Skylor had her Elemental Power inactive after Season 4, she has shown more of her fighting and acrobatic abilities prominently and used them more often in Season 6 and season 9. She was able to fend off hordes of Sky Pirates in season 6 and was one of The Resistance's most powerful combatants in season 9, as she was able to beat numerous Sons of Garmadon members during the ambush in "The Gilded Path" and showed particular skill when facing two bikers with a single trash can lid at the end of "Two Lies, One Truth". In the sets, Skylor usually comes with a Bow-and-Arrow or a Crossbow, however, she never used any of these in the show.
Weapon proficiency: Skylor is skilled enough to use many weapons, although in the show she has used more oftenly katanas in season 9 when facing the S.O.G and Harumi, she showed skill in using a spear when facing Jacob Pevsner in her father's Tournament of Elements. Skylor has also shown skill in using normal daily-life tools as weapons against her opponents such as a normal ladder to fight off the Sky Pirates and a trash can lid to fight two S.O.G members after losing her katana to Mohawk.
At first, Skylor was shown to be somewhat aloof from the other Elemental Masters, as she guilt-tripped Kai by getting defensive that the Fire Ninja didn't believe her that she wasn't the spy amongst the other Tournament participants, and walked off in anger when she showed him her back, free of any Anacondrai tattoo. When Kai eventually realized the truth, however, it was too late and Skylor gleefully helped her father bring Kai and the other Elemental Masters into the dungeons below the island where Chen would drain them of their Elemental Powers.
However, Skylor began to regret what she had done, and with her growing feelings for Kai, she betrayed her father and helped the other Elemental Masters fight against the fake Anacondrai. Due to her allegiance to the cultists, though, Skylor was transformed partly into an Anacondrai, but Kai assured her that regardless of her physical form, she was still a good person. Following her father's banishment, Skylor took up the ownership and management of Chen's Noodle House, and informed Dareth that she would put Puffy Potstickers back on the menu, much to the Brown Ninja's delight.
In an alternate timeline, with the other Ninja and Wu trapped in Nadakhan's Djinn Blade, Skylor agreed to help Jay rescue them, showing a loyal side to herself.
With Wu rapidly aging and learning the horrifying truth about what happened to their parents, Skylor offered Kai and Nya free noodles, showing that she is capable of compassion towards others in times of trouble. She even offered to join the team in fighting against the Vermillion warriors, but her offer was politely turned down by the siblings. Skylor then wondered in solace if making "low-quality noodles" was that all she was good for.
During Garmadon's occupation of Ninjago City, Skylor was determined to help Lloyd regain his powers and fight against his father and his subordinates, even if it meant risking her life to protect him from Garmadon's wrath. She was also overjoyed when she learned that the other Ninja were alive, and affectionately regrouped with Kai upon seeing him return from the Realm of Oni and Dragons.
Following Nya's sacrifice, Skylor attended her memorial, mourning the loss of her dear friend. A year later, Skylor decided to help the Ninja in bringing back Nya; she also accompanied Dareth to visit the Ninja in Kryptarium Prison.

Tournament of Elements[]
The beautiful but dangerous Skylor has the ability to steal the powers of other elemental fighters and make use of them herself. She seems to have a mysterious secret …and to hold an equally mysterious attraction for Kai, the Ninja of Fire.[7]
Tournament of Elements (Explore)[]
This mysterious beauty makes the fire in Kai flame up high. He falls for her smile in an instant, though she is very secretive about who she is and what her powers are. She does not seem to be afraid of very much. But when it comes to the kindling in Kai’s chest, this girl is cold as ice... or is she?[8]
Skylor, the mysterious Master of Amber and daughter of Master Chen, has the uncanny ability to absorb and replicate the Elemental Power of others. Her mother was an original Elemental Master. Skylor was definitely the recipient of Kai’s affections from the start. It was the strength of this bond that helped her defy her father. Not many know, but Skylor still possesses the powers of each of the Elemental Masters fighting in the Tournament of Elements. When Master Chen was banished to the Cursed Realm, she decided to take over the family noodle business and lead a quieter and normal life.[9]
The LEGO product crew came up with the idea to have a new female orange ninja, and the Hageman Brothers wanted a "dangerous undercover dame"[10] and expanded on this to fully create her character.[11]
Skylor's elemental symbol is the Chinese character "六", meaning "six." This references her role as the "sixth ninja." However, she never actually became a ninja, with Nya instead becoming the sixth ninja.
However, Skylor may be still interested in Kai's offer of joining the ninja. In "Secrets Discovered," she was saying if Kai and Nya ever need anything just call her before being cut off by Kai and Nya.
Skylor's original name was Sam before it was changed.[12]
Her name was also originally going to be spelled "Skyler" but was changed for legal reasons.[13]
Tommy Andreasen's original design for Skylor was rejected by the Hageman Brothers because it was too "femme fatale."[14]
A story about Skylor's mother known as Amber Legacy was created but never published.[15] This idea was later repurposed for Amber Spiral.
Skylor's appearance changed slightly for Hunted. Her hair turned into a darker shade of red, and her mouth was moved slightly lower on her face. However, this was not reflected in her Hunted Minifigure, which came in 70651 Throne Room Showdown, still with a bright red hairpiece and face similar to her previous figures.
In the Korean shows, Skylor's name is pronounced as "Skyla."
The name Skylor means protection, fugitive and scholar in Danish.
Skylor's name is credited as "Skyler" in the fourth and fifth seasons, "Skylar" in Skybound, and correctly as "Skylor" from Hunted onward. She is uncredited in her appearance in the seventh season.
Each of Skylor's outfits is used for two consecutive seasons. She also uses her outfit from Season 4 in Season 5, her outfit from Season 6 she also uses in Season 7 and her outfit from Season 9 she also uses in Season 10.
Skylor's face design comparison in the WildBrain animation
However, this is changed in Season 15, in which she gets an accurate design with the new animation, with her classic features like her eyebrows and eyelashes, as well as adding details to her outfit.
In Season 15, she wears the same suit as in Season 9 onwards, but has added armor printing on her arms and also leg printing that is based on her Season 6 suit.
Trivia
Trivia[]
Just like Lloyd, her surname comes from her father's name.
Although she wasn't an official ninja, she had a Zukin outfit. Like the ninja's suits, it was most likely a gift from Chen, though it is unknown why none of the other masters received them.
Skylor lacks a Tournament outfit in both the show and sets.
Skylor's powers allow her the exact same abilities as the Staff of Elements, except she copies the Elemental Masters's element instead of stealing it.
Bragi Schut believes Skylor is the same age as the ninja.[16]
She is the only Elemental Master besides the ninja and Morro to appear in Possession.
Skylor, Chen, and Garmadon, are the only fake Anacondrai who keep their Minifigure heads, instead of gaining a snake head like the other Anacondrai Cultists. This may be because she, Garmadon, and Chen did not have tattoos on their face.
While in the Tournament, Skylor absorbed every power of all the Elemental Masters. In the time this happened, she became the second-most powerful Master in Ninjago, next to Lloyd and before Nya.
However, she absorbed Zane's abilities of Ice and Cole, Jay, and Lloyd abilities off-screen. The only Elemental Master's abilities she has absorbed on-screen were Kai and Jacob's.
In addition, she only uses Kai's Fire, Ash's Smoke, and Chamille's Form for the majority of the fourth season, implying these are her favorite powers to use. She has used Zane's Ice[17] and Shade's Shadow[18] as well as Jacob's Sound and Gravis' Gravity.[19]
It was said that her element melded with the remaining elements while inside the Staff of Elements.[citation needed]
Skylor confirmed that her powers had returned in "Iron & Stone," after having not been seen using them since becoming an Anacondrai in Tournament of Elements.
Skylor is an unlockable character in The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame. Her blind bag can be found in the level "The Uncrossable Jungle" by opening the level's Gold Brick area & destroying 5 spider webs.
Her Tournament of Elements minifigure has a mask covering her eyes, which never appeared in the show.
Skylor has been a part of two teams set up by the ninja: Ninja Replacements and the Resistance. However, due to the events of Skybound being erased, she does not remember being a part of Jay's team.
She is one of the strongest Elemental Masters due to the fact that she can mimic other powers.
In "Radio Free Ninjago," it was revealed that Skylor can absorb two Elemental Powers and combine them, though this episode is her first time doing so.
In both seasons where she was a main character, there was at least one episode where she doesn't speak, being "Versus" and "Lessons for a Master."
A story on LEGO.com released alongside Season 12 imagines if Kai met Skylor in Prime Empire, only to discover it was another person using a Skylor avatar. Though it is not said who the avatar would be, the silhouette suggests it would be Unagami.[22]
She is similar to Vania in that they are both female characters whose father was evil and the overall antagonist of a season, with Vania's father being Vangelis.
She is similar to Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games Trilogy. Both use bows as their main weapon (albeit only in the sets in Skylor's case), competed in a fighting contest, and in said contest, both initially pretended to fall in love with a character (Kai and Peeta Mellark respectively) for their own gains, but later actually fell in love with said characters.
Chen was Skylor's father. She was very loyal to him, being willing to infiltrate the Tournament of Elements to absorb the Elemental Powers of the contestants and inform him of the ninja's plot against him. Chen seemed to care for Skylor as he congratulated her on the success of her mission as a spy and allowed Kai to be at his side at her request when seeing that she liked him.
However, Skylor slowly turned against him when he did nothing to stop Garmadon from attacking her and slowly realized that she was merely a pawn for him to use after he took her power to turn himself into an Anacondrai. She sided with Kai and kicked the Staff of Elements out of his hands, as he reacted in anger at her betrayal and had his followers capture her as punishment. When Clouse realized Skylor's power could still fulfill their plan, Chen had his followers free her and attempted to sweet-talk her but Skylor was aware this was a trick and was angered that Chen was willing to put her life in danger just to obtain power. She then called him pitiful for caring more about ambition rather than his own child, and escaped his grasp but was later recaptured by him.
After Chen and his followers transformed, Chen coldly viewed his daughter as unimportant since he got what he wanted and she now sided with his enemies.
During the battle at the Corridor of Elders, Skylor attacked her father stating she had "daddy issues." Skylor later watched as her father was banished to the Cursed Realm and ignored his pleas for her help.
Kai is Skylor’s boyfriend. The two first met on the ferry that transported them to Chen's Island. While there, Kai defended her from Karlof. He developed in a romantic interest in her, but was shocked to learn she uses his element, thinking they may be related but soon discovered that her power copied from others which brought back his feelings for her. During the Tournament, Kai grows to trust Skylor especially when she shows information regarding Cole and Zane. He is heartbroken to learn that she is Chen's daughter and was secretly working with her father to undermine his friends. His feelings for her seem to be reciprocated, as Skylor couldn't look him in the eye when Chen captured him. She also seemed touched when he mentioned that he fell for her. Skylor soon turned against her father and was captured as a result but Kai went off to rescue her from Chen.
Kai's feelings were so great that he accepted her new Anacondrai form which allowed him to unlock his Fire Dragon. When she was sad about people running from her new appearance, he cheered her up by mentioning she has changed by joining his friends. The two fought together to face Chen and his army emerging victorious from the conflict. After the battle, Kai offers her a spot on the team but she declines to take over her father's noodle business. She tries to kiss him but Dareth interrupts them but she promises to keep in touch.
Kai and Skylor
In Season 7, he goes to her for advice and she relates to his situation and tells him their parents leave behind legacies but they are who they choose to be.
In "Green Destiny," they are reunited and Kai became worried about her poisoned condition; immediately after Garmadon was defeated, he is there when she wakes up to assure her that peace has been restored to Ninjago. At the end, they shared a happy embrace.
In "Kryptarium Prison Blues," Skylor holds Kai's right hand, which shows their feelings for one another: in addition to the care that Skylor has for Kai's well-being. She also smiles to herself when Kai winked at her.
In "Safe Haven," Skylor greets Kai by saying "Hiya, hot shot." which Kai is delighted to hear her say.
In "Roots," after defeating the Overlord for one last time, the two wanted to kiss but were interrupted by Dareth again.
By the time of Quest for the Lost Powers, Kai and Skylor have worked out all the problems in their relationship and have begun dating. However, at some point before, during or after the Merge, the two stopped being together.[1]
Skylor was initially an enemy to the ninja due to her loyalty to her father at the time. When she betrayed Chen, the ninja saw Skylor as a friend when they saw that she meant a lot to Kai and because she turned against her father. She also joined Jay's replacement team in Skybound, and gave advice to Kai and Nya about having evil relatives.
In Season 9, she joined |Lloyd and Nya's resistance team in Hunted. She proved herself a helpful ally as she had saved Lloyd's group from the Sons of Garmadon and helping Nya with building weapons. She also encouraged Lloyd on his lost powers and when he nearly lost his composure from seeing his first lost to his father. Also through Lloyd, Skylor discovered a new trick with her power by combining elements.
Skylor later saved Lloyd from the Sons of Garmadon, during the ambush before she was saved herself by him. Skylor was the last of the resistance besides Dareth to stay by Lloyd and Nya's side. After Garmadon was defeated, she cheered them on until Nya had her join in being honored as heroes for her role in helping them out.
During Season 14, Skylor was present at Nya's memorial, mourning the departure of her good friend.
Skylor was once allied with Garmadon during their fight against Chen before Garmadon's death. After the Sons of Garmadon resurrected the evil soulless Garmadon. Skylor (like many Elemental Masters) joined up to stop him.
In "Saving Faith," Skylor touches Lord Garmadon with the help of Mystake. After escaping, she informed the rest of the Resistance about Mystake's fate and tries to use her newfound power to control the Colossus. After struggling, she was able to control Colossus for a while but was "poisoned” and rendered unresponsive.
During the final prophecy of Quanish the Elder, Skylor, like the rest of the Ninja and P.I.X.A.L, were initially distrustful of Garmadon's attempts to help Lloyd unlock his Oni form, although she eventually worked with him to combat the Overlord's armies.
They have not had many interactions, but they get along and may be friends.
At the end of Season 4, Dareth begged her if she'd put the Puffy Potsticker back on the menu, she kindly replied that she will put the item back. Dareth was happy with her answer by calling it right with the world as she was amused.
Skylor and Dareth worked together in the Ninja Replacements, though their memories of these events were erased
In Season 9, Skylor and the Elemental Masters saved Dareth's group from the Sons of Garmadon and soon formed The Resistance. Dareth and Skylor ended up being the last remaining allies of Lloyd and Nya after the rest were captured by Garmadon’s forces. Dareth even expressed concern for her after she was poisoned by Garmadon's power and tended to her.
Skylor is able to relate to Ronin to some degree, with both of them having pasts they wish to leave behind. Skylor and Ronin became friends in "Curseworld, Part I" when Ronin visited Skylor's Noodle House.
Skylor and Ronin worked together in the Ninja Replacements, though their memories of these events were erased. After Skylor and Kai mistakenly chased down Ronin in School for Crooks, Ronin acknowledged his common ground with Skylor when he explained how he was trying to clear his name.
After Harumi and her gang resurrected Garmadon in his soulless evil form, Skylor (like many other Elemental Masters) joined The Resistance lead by Lloyd and Nya to stop the Sons of Garmadon and Emperor Garmadon.
In "The Weakest Link," Harumi informed the Resistance that the Sons of Garmadon would find her.
During Season 15, Skylor was dismayed to hear of Harumi’s resurface, and hearing the latter was now serving the Overlord and his army. When the Council of the Crystal King stole the Golden Weapons to bring to Harumi, Skylor knew she was going to use them for something bad. At the end of the season, it is unclear how she felt about Harumi when the latter sided with the ninja, after discovering the ninja were not to blame for her parents’ deaths.
Pythor once helped the Ninja defeat Skylor's father Chen, and while the snake didn't interact directly with Skylor, he was aware of who she was and her Elemental Power.
In "Safe Haven", Pythor laughed at Kai, saying that if Cole was also battle-capable, they would at least have a chance. But that's when Skylor appeared, whom Pythor recognized and reaffirmed that she had the ability to absorb Elemental Powers. Horrified by this realization, Skylor absorbed Kai's Fire and Cole's Earth and blasted them together at Pythor, who tried to cover them with his Nunchucks of Destruction. The Anacondrai then admitted that it was impressive, but that even her powers would not hold up against his Vengestone soldiers. Skylor, however, used the power of Earth to raise a stone wall in the alley.
