After barely escaping the Ninja in the Farmers' village, Miss Demeanor and her Henchmen go over their losses, grumbling that they would need to find more Vengestone or their buyer would refuse to pay them. Fortunately, one of the henchmen remarks that he heard rumors of a sunken Serpentine cargo ship nearby that held a large cargo of vengestone.
Meanwhile, the ninja are onboard the Hydro Bounty deep beneath the waves of the Endless Sea. They had detected a strange energy pulse emanating from the ocean and were now seeking it out, believing it to be the source of the disruption to Nya's elemental power of Water. As they search, Lloyd detects lifeforms on their sonar and Zane orders the ninja to investigate further.
Not long after, the ninja discover Miss Demeanor and her henchmen at the wreckage of the Serpentine ship and immediately realize that the villains are seeking to salvage the wreck's hold of vengestone - an action they cannot allow. While the others rush out to battle, Nya sits back for a moment but changes her mind after receiving some comforting words from Jay who states that she isn't needed because of her powers, but because she is part of the team.
Now equipped with scuba gear, the ninja confront Miss Demeanor and her goons at the wreck site, only to discover that the goons are armed with harpoon guns while the ninja's Elemental Powers are of little use due to their current environment. Although Jay is able to improvise with an electric eel, the other ninja find themselves struggling to even get close to Miss Demeanor whose equipment had been modified to propel jets of water. As the henchmen secure the container of vengestone, Nya orders the other ninja to swim for the surface, for she had a plan in mind to stop Miss Demeanor. As the others carry out her plan and head for the surface, Miss Demeanor swims after them in pursuit. With Miss Demeanor distracted, Nya was able to covertly board Miss Demeanor's ship on the surface!
After defeating the lone henchman operating the ship, Nya took control over its winching system and dropped the cargo container back into the depths below, where it fell and crushed the wreckage with its weight. Unfortunately, this also awakened a giant octopus which scared off Miss Demeanor and her goons and was shortly subdued by Lloyd with his powers. With the giant octopus at bay and Miss Demeanor defeated, Nya brought back around the Hydro Bounty and all the ninja boarded it once more as they resumed their search for the mysterious energy pulse.

- The comic takes place during "Unsinkable". However, Cole and Kai are featured on the Hydro Bounty despite staying on the surface at the time. As such, the comic is considered non-canon.
