The Arrival[]
En route to the island, Misako, Wu, and Clutch's ship is caught in a storm. A large wave crashes onto it, and then lightning strikes it, causing the vessel to sink. Misako orders everyone to board a lifeboat. An hour later, the boat washes ashore on the island, and the expedition begins setting up camp on the beach. Clutch immediately orders his trainees to collect the luggage scattered in the ocean and jungle.
Wu goes into the jungle to gather firewood. When he doesn't return, Misako goes looking for him. Clutch is outraged at being abandoned, while Dwayne battles a shark in the ocean for a suitcase full of socks. He fails to save the suitcase, but he does manage to retrieve a box of candy from the water. Finally, Clutch decides to follow the missing heroes into the jungle. Dwayne returns to the beach and finds no one, but hears cries for help from the undergrowth. He grabs an umbrella and runs into the jungle.
Dwayne soon discovers Clutch, who has been grabbed and suspended high above the ground by a carnivorous plant. Horrifying lizards scurry around him, and nasty birds fly around. Using his umbrella, the intern scares the animals, then throws gum into the plants' mouths. The plants release their grip, and Clutch falls to the ground. Returning to camp, they find the other sailors with a sofa, as well as Misako and Wu, who have collected firewood, rare tea leaves, and colorful fruits. The pair explain that they've been delayed in the jungle for a while and then suggest that everyone rest and eat before exploring the island.
The Tale of Twitchy Tim[]
Tim comes to on a sandy beach and remembers being about to fly in a hot air balloon, which was blown away without a co-pilot. The last thing Tim remembers is being struck by lightning. He realizes he's very hungry and decides to go into the jungle to find food, but is immediately attacked by a wild boar. While fleeing the beast, he encounters mosquitoes and then fanged plants that try to bite him. Tim eventually returns to the beach without food and realizes he must escape the island.
The next day, he heads into the jungle again. This time, he freezes when he sees a wild boar. The animal doesn't attack him, but instead runs to a fruit tree. Tim climbs up and collects papayas. Continuing on, Tim falls into a muddy swamp. After climbing out, he's covered in mud, preventing mosquitoes from noticing him. He then makes his way to a stream for a drink of water. On his way back to the beach, he encounters carnivorous plants for a second time, which attack him again.
Tim remains on the island for several more days. He soon realizes he has memory problems: when he tries to draw lines in the sand, he can't remember whether seven days have passed or twenty-seven. When he decides to go into the jungle for fresh water, he stumbles upon animated statues. After escaping, he forgets about them and encounters the monsters again the very next day. A man decides to build a raft to finally sail home.
All attempts to create a raft end in failure: Tim forgets about it time and time again, and all his plans in the sand are washed away. But one day, a bottle washes ashore with a strange note about a man trapped in a bottle factory. Tim thinks it's a joke and uses the paper to write down the plan, never to forget it again. He finally manages to build a raft and makes several attempts to sail away, constantly being struck by lightning. Eventually, he floats over rocks, ends up in calm waters, and loses consciousness. When Tim comes to, he spots Ninjago Island on the horizon.
To the Rescue![]
While the ninja search for Tim, P.I.X.A.L. prepares the ship and other equipment for a rescue mission. Finally, the heroes return home, and Tim meets the Nindroid. Having been struck by lightning twelve times, he quickly forgets about it and greets them again. Neither the ninja nor the man himself can believe Tim agreed to return to the island. The heroes try to convince him that the man will be of great help to them.
While Twitchy Tim and Lloyd discuss their plan of action, Nya and P.I.X.A.L. decide together that their new ally needs a boost in confidence. The ninja try to prove their skills to Tim, but when Jay starts using lightning, it only frightens Tim even more. P.I.X.A.L. hugs Tim and shows him their new catamarans and motorcycles, explaining that they are equipped with a special lightning protection system. This helps calm Tim.
When the heroes finally take off, Tim says they should have brought the list with them. And although Lloyd assures him that the ninja remember everything, the other warriors begin to remember that they left something behind at the monastery. Twitchy Tim becomes frightened again, and the team again has to calm him down. However, none of them realize that along with the forgotten items, the force shields that P.I.X.A.L. left behind at the monastery were also left behind. prepared specifically to protect against monsters that shoot lightning
