Overview
Timothy Batterson, more commonly known as Twitchy Tim or simply Twitchy, is a gas station owner who went alongside the ninja on an expedition to the Island of the Keepers.

Background[]
At some point, Twitchy was on a balloon tour when his hot air balloon was blown off-course to the Island of the Keepers. Scared off the island from the storms, monsters, and "doom," he was struck twelve times by lightning while trying to escape. This caused an adverse effect of anterograde amnesia.[1] Eventually, he managed to escape by using a raft after being trapped on the island for a year.[2]

Twitchy was seen on the news while P.I.X.A.L. told the ninja about him. Later, he was met by the ninja in his gas station, when he was sleeping. He was asked about the uncharted island that he once escaped from, to which he replied in fear before his memory was lost. After a bit, he decided to join the ninja on an expedition to the uncharted island. He rode with the ninja to the island.
The Keepers of the Amulet[]
Twitchy got scared immediately when Zippy appeared and assumed survival positions. After a bit, the Stone Guardians attacked, and he ran off to a cave. Lloyd fortunately arrived at the same cave, where they met.
The Gift of Jay[]
Twitchy Tim warned Lloyd not to go out of the cave, before suffering short-term memory loss and repeating it again. He was then told by Lloyd that he could do brave things as well.
The Tooth of Wojira[]
Motivated by Lloyd's words, Twitchy Tim regains his bravery and decides to help the ninja. He boarded one of the battle catamarans and proceeded to harness the power of the storm to speed up the boat, making it crash into Ronin's monster and making it sink.

The Fifth Villain[]
Jay, Fugi-Dove, Cole, and Lloyd went on to find Twitchy's gas station, separated from the others. Once they reached Twitchy's gas station, Twitchy greeted them. However, the police approached Twitchy's gas station, he had the ninja hide behind the counter to avoid being caught. When Butchie asked Twitchy if he has seen the ninja and if he knows anything about their escape, Twitchy accidentally revealed the ninja to the police.

Following the defeat of the Crystal King and his army, Twitchy celebrated in the streets of Ninjago City. He would later help the ninja in rebuilding their Monastery, though dropped the boards he was carrying after suffering an electrical shock.

- Storm: After being struck by lightning "repeatedly," Twitchy Tim was given the ability to channel, absorb, and redirect the electricity produced by Storm, which he used to destroy Ronin's ship when he tried to escape. Even when this isn't somehow utilized, the amount of electricity within his body cannot dissipate, so he is repeatedly electrocuted by the electricity coursing through his body, which frequently wipes his memories.

The ninja arrive at Twitchy Tim's gas station for the whereabouts of the Island of the Keepers. They are surprised when Twitchy Tim's memory quickly fades away a few times, but still joins the ninja nonetheless despite is experiences on the Island. Later on, Lloyd's words managed to motivate Twitchy Tim and regain confidence to stop Ronin's actions. Afterwards, Nya picks him up from the water, commending him for his bravery. Twitchy Tim was one of the many ninja allies who attended Nya's memorial, showing how much he values the ninja as allies too.

Not much interaction has been shown between the two, but Twitchy Tim used a battle catamaran to crash into Ronin's monster and foiling the cunning thief's plans.

- He was first confirmed to be voiced by Ian James Corlett in an Instagram story.[3]
- Despite this, the credits state that he is voiced by Brian Drummond.
- He shares his eyebrows with Cole's pre-Season 8 design, though this does not indicate a familial relation.[4] Twitchy Tim also has the same beard as Karlof.
- In the Show he has a modified hair piece of Newbie Gamer and other avatars of WildBrain background characters, originally used on The Joker from The LEGO Batman Movie.
- In minifigure form he has the actual lego piece, previously introduced in light gray with Cinder.
- In Island Attack! (on the promotional photo), Jungle Warrior! (in the comic), The Uncharted Island and Trading Card Game, Twitchy Tim is shown in a minifigure form sporting the hairpiece of Doc Brown from LEGO Dimensions, which was also used for Bob the Intern, Vangelis, and Engelbert. The reason for this is unknown.
- His outfit is similar to that of the Pilot from Minifigures Series 3, while the pins on the front of his jacket and the eagle emblem on the back are similar to the ones on Jake Raines's aviator jacket from Pharaoh's Quest.
- According to Niek van Slagmaat, he was going to be part of a minifigure accessory set, but it was canceled due to a bottle neck in production. It would have been named "Twitchy Tim’s Bizarre Adventure" (a reference to the 1987 manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure).[5][6]

- He was struck by lightning five more times than that of Roy Sullivan, the real-life individual who was struck by lightning the most times and lived.
- By crashing his catamaran into Ronin's monster, Twitchy is the first ninja ally to defeat a main antagonist.
