At some point after the Merge, the Explorer's Club documented the Lightning-Tides and their use of lightning somewhere deep in the Forest of Spirits.

The Missing[]

Nya and Kai stumbled upon the Lightning-Tides performing their Lightning-Tide Community Ceremony. The Tides, which were stacked in a pyramid, fell over due to their arrival. They started to attack Kai and Nya, believing they ruined the ceremony. They imprisoned Kai and Nya in a jail cell made from a rock and put them on trial. Klirba passed a sentence of 1,003 zappings. Nya tried to explain the situation, but Kai broke out and started blasting fire at the Lightning-Tides. The Tides threw Vengestone at Kai and put him back in the cell.

Later, Wyldfyre showed up and pretended to be a Lava-Tide, causing the Lightning-Tides to throw Vengestone at her and imprison her too. The Lightning-Tides discussed the number of zaps the three ninja should receive when Nya started to explain how they interrupted the ceremony on accident while looking for Jay. The touching story made the Lightning-Tides cry, causing their leader to let only Nya out. This forced her to use her power over water to get Kai and Wyldfyre out. Wyldfyre proceeded to burn down their home, and the three ran away as one of the Tides put up a wanted poster of the three of them.

They have a liking for Vengestone due to its glowing properties. They also have a court-like body, with a judge and a jury of Lightning-Tides during their trials. Once in a decade, the Lightning-Tides have a sacred ceremony within their community.

Electrokinesis/Fulgurkinesis - Lightning-Tides possess the ability to control electricity/lightning at will, allowing them to generate intense lightning strikes from their heads or project bolts of it from their hands.

They are the lightning/electricity equivalent of their cousins species, the Lava-Tides and the Water-Tides, who are respectively linked to fire/lava and water/liquid.
