Background[]
A blacksmith from Metalonia harbored envy towards the Elemental Masters of their powers. Within the vicinity of home stood an ancient and crooked tree sporting a mystical amber substance containing the dragon energy of the Source Dragon of Balance that ensnared anything that got close to it. With his blacksmithing skills, the man forged the very first Chronosteel, a material imbued with the power to absorb the Elemental Powers from their masters. Focusing these absorbed powers into the Urn of Enmity, he then created a new Elemental Power - Amber.
After a lifetime spent absorbing the powers of others, the blacksmith's nefarious deeds eventually caught the attention of Wu and Garmadon, both of whom arrived to put an end to his villainous schemes. Despite his best efforts to use the Urn of Enmity to drain their powers, his own spirit was sucked into the urn instead.
Over the course of centuries, the Master of Amber relentlessly attempted to escape from his prison and uncovered the truth behind Skylor's past, observing her manipulate the Elemental Masters, even to the point of hurting her friends.
Amber Spiral[]
Skylor was confronted by the Original Master of Amber, who was held captive by amber chains in his workshop. He commended her for following in his footsteps and using the Amber to divide and conquer those she cared for. However, he regretfully informed her that he must take the Amber from her to restore himself and escape the Urn of Enmity. Skylor was concerned and asked if he intended to take her body and leave her spirit in his place. The Original Master confirmed her suspicion and praised her intelligence. Skylor realized that she may have fallen into a trap and prepared for a confrontation.
The Original Master claimed that the Urn of Enmity desired what it could absorb, but he would not be defeated and regain the power of Amber. Suddenly, he extended a spectral hand and began to drain Skylor's elemental powers. Skylor and the Original Master of Amber engaged in a confrontation for the power of Amber. The Original Master advocated for the acquisition of power for personal gain, while Skylor espoused the use of power to encourage unity and harmony. In a moment of lucidity, Skylor summoned all her inner strength and prevailed over the Original Master. The shackles that had bound him to Ninjago were released, and the portal to the Departed Realm opened to transport him away.
