The undead Mino was a Mino that was resurrected by the Skull Sorcerer to attack the ninja.

Through the Mountain[]
As the Ninja, Munce, and Geckles fled from the Skull Sorcerer and his legions, they encountered the remains of this Mino enroute to the Geckle Strong-Cave. Although Kai dismissed it as inert remains, the undead mino roared to life and began to attack, charging and ramming into Lloyd.
Although the five ninja attempted to fight back with their Elemental Powers, they discovered that their abilities had been rendered too weak thanks to the Vengestone mines to seriously affect the undead creature. Unable to overwhelm it through their powers, the ninja devised a new plan to trap it, tricking it into charging into a river of lava. Believing that they had defeated the undead mino, the ninja began to celebrate, only for it to rise once more but now coated in lava!
Ultimately, the undead mino was defeated by Nya and Zane combining their powers of Water and Ice respectively to harden the lava coating the skeletal mino into stone. Gulch then insisted that the Geckles would take the petrified mino with them to erect as a statue in the ninja's honor, carrying it with them as the group continued their way to the strong cave. However, the Geckles would presumably abandon the petrified mino enroute to the strong cave when they reached another tight passage, just as Jay suggested would happen.
