A maze of reflections

Synopsis[]

Just when Wyldfyre thought things couldn’t get any worse, the baby dragons get lost in a crystal cave. Beautiful as it may be, things aren’t what they seem. With reflections all around, Wyldfyre can’t trust her own eyes and wait… what’s that hissing sound?^[1]

Plot[]

After crossing the river of lava with the baby dragons, Wyldfyre continued to carry them through the cavern when suddenly the ground beneath her collapsed and she tumbled into a cavern filled with reflective crystals. As Wyldfyre struggled to find and round up the babies, another danger quickly presented itself: the Cave Snake was back.

As the giant serpent pursued the baby dragons, Wyldfyre calmed herself and reminded her to remember her training, taking deep breaths while carefully examining her surroundings. After surmising the location of the Cave Snake, she turned and began to hurl fireballs at it, forcing it to break off its attack and flee. Having now gathered together the baby dragons, Wyldfyre and the babies made their way to the cave's exit. Although the snake attempted to pursue them, Wyldfyre used her fireballs to bring down portions of the cave's exterior, burying the way out with mounds of rubble and preventing the snake from following any further. Now in the clear, she and the babies approached a long wooden bridge.
