The Lava Wastes are a volcanic desert in the Wyldness.

History

Background[]

Years ago, the Lava Wastes existed as part of the Wyldness. Millennia ago, Zilvar journeyed through the Lava Wastes to find a new home for his tribe, where he encountered a Fire Dragon and Lava Dragon fighting each other.[1] Millennia later, a ship carrying Wyldfyre and the Caregiver bot crash-landed in the Lava Wastes. Heatwave, a dragon, was asked by the Caregiver bot to take care of Wyldfyre, and he agreed. For years, Wyldfyre grew up under the care of Lava Dragons, including Heatwave and the Caregiver bot in the Lava Wastes. But most of the dragons that raised Wyldfyre died due to the Wasting Sickness, leaving Heatwave as her sole guardian.[2] During the Merge, Wyldfyre gained the Elemental Power of Heat. Eventually, Wyldfyre started playing pranks in the Lava-Tides at their village. The Claws of Imperium arrived in the Lava Wastes one day, aiming to capture Heatwave and exploit his dragon power for the Kingdom of Imperium. To save Heatwave, Wyldfyre made the decision to leave the Lava Wastes.[3][4]

Dragons Rising, Season 1[]

Wyldly Inappropriate[]

Kai and Wyldfyre journeyed to the Lava Wastes in order to request the purple Dragon Core from the Lava-Tides. Unfortunately, due to Wyldfyre's pranks, the Lava-Tides refused to grant their request unless she cleaned up the mess caused by her pranks. Despite their efforts in cleaning up, the Lava-Tides broke their promise and threw the core into the Pit of No Return. Determined, Kai and Wyldfyre ventured into the pit to retrieve the Dragon Core, facing Death Wasps along the way. Once they escaped, they sealed the pit, only to be confronted by Dorama and his stagehands.

They Call It Doom[]

Kai and Wyldfyre engaged in a fierce battle with Dorama, his stagehands, and the Lava-Tides over the purple Dragon Core. In the midst of the chaos, Dorama replaced the real core with a fake one. The Lava-Tide Leader unintentionally gained an advantage by consuming Heat, causing her to grow in size. Heatwave tried to intervene but ended up getting seriously injured by the Lava-Tide Leader. Eventually, Kai and Wyldfyre managed to escape with the fake Dragon Core, riding on Heatwave as they retreated to the outskirts of the Lava Wastes.

Land of Lost Things[]

Kai and Wyldfyre roamed the Lava Wastes to collect certain crystals that could be used to treat Heatwave's injuries.

The Administration[]

As Wyldfyre continued to worry over Heatwave's condition, Kai encouraged her to clear her mind through meditative forms. He then taught her some and the two began practicing until Heatwave recovered and they departed from the Lava Wastes.

Return to the Wyldness[]

Queen of RAGE![]

Heatwave brought Wyldfyre to Dragon Tribe Celebration, only for her to want to be left alone and go to a cave. In the cave, she sends a shockwave with her Elemental Powers, causing three baby Fire Dragons to hatch from the egg. While she tries to stop the baby dragons, one of them goes near a Cave Snake, only for Wyldfyre to rescue her.

Into the lava![]

While trying to get out of the cave, Wyldfyre and the baby dragons encounter a lava pool. After Wyldfyre land on the solid ground, she realizes the baby are hanging from the hole in the ceiling. Thankfully, Wyldfye pushed nearby stone to help the babies, allowing them to safely cross the other side.

A maze of reflections[]

While continuing to explore the cave, the ground beneath Wyldfyre and the Fire Dragons collapse, separating and dropping them to a crystal maze. Then Wyldfyre realizes the Cave Snake is back and is heading to the babies. Thankfully, Wyldfyre was able to save the babies and exit the cave. She then blasted fireballs to bury the cave's exterior, stopping the Cave Snake from following them any further. Then she and the babies arrived near a wooden bridge

Time to get Red[]

While trying to pass the bridge, it collapses, causing Wyldfyre and babies to fall down. Thankfully, Wyldfyre was able to hold them and cross everyone to the other side safely. She then sees Flameheart and Heatwave waiting. She then returned back the babies to Flameheart whilst also giving them her hair-bone. As Flameheart left with her babies, Wyldfyre decided to go back to the Monastery of Spinjitzu with Heatwave.

The Ultimate Object of Admiration[]

While continuing their search for Jay, the ninja set up a campfire in the Lava Wastes. While Kai and Wyldfyre were blowing up rocks, Wyldfyre gets a message from Roby. However, Nya wanted them to focus on finding Jay.

Jordana informed Ras that the Imperians were consistently led to think that the Wyldness was solely comprised of the Lava Wastes; however, Ras refuted this notion by listing other areas that constitute the Wyldness.
