Overview
Counter Shot is a game invented by Kai and Nya from when they were children in the Four Weapons Blacksmith.
History
History[]
Prior to the series[]
Kai and Nya invented Counter Shot in the Four Weapons Blacksmith, using a variety of obstacles and tools such as tables and horseshoes.
Fugitives From Madness[]
With permission from Egalt, Nya decides to attempt the Rising Dragon training course with Kai to help him. She tells him that he's holding himself back, and that he needs to think less about himself and more about Counter Shot. Kai is reminded of their childhood game, and they begin the course. As they traverse it, obstacles within the course seem to become synonymous with obstacles from the original game. Because of this, they're both able to complete it and Kai becomes the first of the ninja to perform the Rising Dragon technique.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- Counter Shot is shown to have several parts. Kai and Nya start by jumping over a pile of logs, and then running around a container. From there, Kai jumps off of a support beam over Nya, and they both grab horseshoes that they throw at a pot before running and sliding under a table.
- This is somewhat mirrored as Nya helps Kai learn Rising Dragon technique. They start by using Spinjitzu to go around a boulder. From there, Kai hops using his tornado in a crossed pattern in front of Nya, and they both halt their Spinjitzu to hit a lantern in a tree. They continue their Spinjitzu and slide under a log.
- The hairpiece used for Kai in the Counter Shot flashback scene originates from LEGO sets.
