The Vengestone mines (also known as the Mines of Shintaro^[1]) are the mines of an underground mining operation for Vengestone.

History

Into the Dark[]

Cole and Vania were exploring the caves when they stumbled upon the Mines of Shintaro. They discovered the Geckles and Munce being enslaved and forced to mine an unknown substance. Cole and Vania they spot the Skull Sorcerer, who punished everyone for stopping.

Cole attempted to save everyone, but he is captured by the Re-Awakened.

The Worst Rescue Ever[]

Cole is enslaved and is forced to work in the Vengestone mines. He talked to Murt and Gliff and realized there are tensions between the two tribes.

The rest of the ninja spot Cole and attempted to rescue him. They were able to free everyone, but fighting between the Munce and Geckles alerted the Skull Sorcerer, who captured everyone.

The Two Blades[]

All of the ninja worked in the mines and discovered they are mining Vengestone. After being sent to a cage due to attempting a revolt, Gliff told the ninja about the Blades of Deliverance. The ninja then hatched a plan to escape.

The ninja were able to free the Geckles and Munce. However, during their escape, Lloyd, Nya, and Jay are separated from Kai and Zane. Meanwhile, Cole is not with either group and was chased by the Skull Sorcerer.

The Upply Strike Back![]

All of the Geckles and Munces were forced back into mining Vengestone while the ninja (except Cole) sat in a cage watching the horror. The Skull Sorcerer, who turned out to be King Vangelis, revealed that he banished Cole and Wu to Rock-Bottom and has no way of saving the ninja from being executed.

However, Cole and the Upply arrived and spotted the ninja as well as the Geckles and Munces. Cole and Plundar would steal the Blades of Deliverance while Korgran and Fungus freed the workers. Eventually, Cole would fight the Skull Sorcerer while the Geckles, Munces, Upply, and ninja would take on the Awakened Warriors.

The Son of Lilly[]

Fighting continued between the two sides. Meanwhile, Cole unlocked the Spinjitzu Burst and destroyed the Skull of Hazza D'ur. This in turn destroyed Grief-Bringer, the Awakened Warriors, and stripped Vangelis of his powers. Because of this, Vangelis was imprisoned while the Vengestone mines were shut down.
