Synopsis

Synopsis[]

All of a sudden it gets very dark for the ninja when they return to the tunnels underneath Shintaro. There they must help a group of Geckles who are under attack from the Dark Skeletons. In the heat of battle Zane must show the ninja virtue of generosity and make a grand sacrifice. Will he do the right thing to triumph and lead all the ninja into the next portal?

Plot

Plot[]

The ninja find themselves in the Dungeons of Shintaro, where they are fighting the Re-Awakened. Cole sees Master Wu being taken by the dragon and tries to use his Earth Punch, but cannot due to the Vengestone around the dungeon. He then points to the Geckles, who have managed to carry a huge boulder with bare hands. Gulch tries to catapult another boulder but the lever breaks.

Zane runs over to the Geckles to try and fix the situation. They greet him with a pelting of stones before Zane examines the broken lever. With no replacement due to the Geckles destroying all of the extras in a Geckle tradition, Zane takes off his left arm and gives it to Gulch, who uses it to catapult more boulders at the Re-Awakened. Once they're down, they start to make their way to the closing portal, only for Zane to point out the Geckles are surrounded by more Re-Awakened. They debate their options and choose to save the Geckles from them. In compliment, Gulch catapults them to the portal, where they go through it before it closes.

Trivia

Trivia[]

  • Narrator: Zane
  • The port where Zane's arm joins the body looks similar to Zane's power source.[1]
  • This is the only short that has been published on YouTube along with the end credits, as for all other shorts, the credits are cut off and replaced with the Journey to Mastery image.
  • Zane giving up his arm is a possible reference to when Lloyd lost his arm in The LEGO Ninjago Movie.

Cultural references[]

  • The way Zane discovers that his arm can act as a lever is similar to how Emmet found that his head could act as a wheel in The LEGO Movie.
