Race Through Ninjago City! is the 2nd issue of Ninjago XXL Magazine. It includes 30532 Turbo and Resistance Kai and Zane appear on the cover. It was released on October 1, 2018.

In the heart of Ninjago City, the Ninja battle against the bikers of the Sons of Garmadon for control over the city. Although outnumbered, the ninja are able to overwhelm their foes with Spinjitzu and discover a scroll depicting the Oni Masks. Unsure of its significance, the ninja take it with them for further study, unaware that this had all been part of the bikers' plans!
Some time later, Lloyd was cruising inside his Ninja Nightcrawler when P.I.X.A.L. informed him that her transcription of the scroll was complete. She had deciphered on its surface a series of coordinates spread throughout Ninjago City and uploaded them into Lloyd's GPS. When asked if she should inform the other ninja, Lloyd declined and stated that he would handle this matter himself.
As he neared the first set of coordinates, Lloyd was attacked by Ultra Violet and two other bikers. Believing that the coordinates must be important if the Sons of Garmadon were attempting to stop him, Lloyd fought the trio off and continued his drive. Unfortunately, the sudden presence of an elderly pedestrian forced Lloyd to come to a complete stop, allowing for the bikers to catch up to him. Unfortunately, the elderly woman revealed herself to be yet another member of the Sons of Garmadon, forcing Lloyd to preform some extreme evasive measures to escape from the bikers. Although he managed to escape, Lloyd lost control over his Nightcrawler and slammed right into a brick wall!
Recovering from his crash, Lloyd finally realized that he had wandered into a trap when Killow and a larger force of bikers began closing in on him. Nevertheless, Lloyd refused to give up and began to ferociously fight back, using the broken parts of his Nightcrawler as weapons against the bikers. After defeating Killow and his forces, Lloyd taunted the big man who warned that the battle was far from over. At that moment, Ultra Violet and her two bikers arrived to reinforce Killow, forcing Lloyd to think of a new way to escape. Acting quickly, Lloyd used the broken parts of his Nightcrawler to assemble a new, smaller car, which he was then able to use to swiftly escape! When Ultra Violet and her companions gave chase, they were unable to squeeze through a narrow tunnel all at once and collided, allowing for Lloyd to make a swift getaway! As he drove off, Lloyd vowed to reunite with the other ninja, and together, they would be able to defeat the Sons of Garmadon once and for all!

- This comic is one of the few comics to treat the world of Ninjago like the toyline, with Lloyd being able to make a smaller car out of a bigger one.
