The Nastiest of the Nasty!

The Nastiest of the Nasty![]

Shortly after the battle at the Corridor of Elders, Kryptarium Prison is nearly empty with all but the nastiest of prisoners having been recruited to help the Ninja fight back against Chen and his Anacondrai Cultists. In light of their recent victory, the guards at Kryptarium have grown lax towards the few criminals that remained imprisoned. On this day, taking advantage of the guard's lax attitudes, Soto uses the Anacondrai Blade left over from Kapau and Chope's attack on the prison to release himself and the rest of the remaining inmates. Now free from their cells, the prisoners easily overwhelm Noble and his guards and escape, leaving the defeated warden to lament not hiring more guards.

Some time later, the Ninja spot Nuckal and Kruncha running nearby. Realizing that the two should still be in Kryptarium, the Ninja attack and easily defeat the two Skulkin, demanding to know who else escaped with them, though both skeletons refused to talk. Some time after returning the pair back to Kryptarium, Kai, Lloyd, and Jay stopped by Chen's Noodle House in Ninjago City for a bite to eat. As the trio waited for their food, the table seated before them began to loudly argue with the waitstaff, though tensions rose not long after as the guests began smashing plates and threatening to smash the entire restaurant. In response, Kai stepped over to have a word with the rowdy customers only to discover that they were Soto and No-Eyed Pete who then attacked the red Ninja. Although Kai easily defeated the pair of pirates and began escorting them out of the restaurant, he became distracted when he heard Skylor call out to him. This momentary distraction gave Soto the opportunity to trip Kai, allowing for himself and No-Eyed Pete to escape, with both climbing into the back of a Noodle truck to hide. At that moment, Cole and Zane arrived at the restaurant, informing their allies that the Giant Stone Warrior and two Nindroid Warriors had been spotted in the Corridor of Elders. With that, the Ninja decided to go after the trio while Skylor drove the Noodle Truck containing the pirates back to Kryptarium.

Cole flew ahead to the Corridor of Elders in his Roto Jet, discovering that the Giant Stone Warrior and the Nindroids had rebuilt one of the downed Blade-Copters and were making an attempt to escape to parts unknown. Cole flew off against them in hot pursuit, firing his Jet's missiles at the Copter and successfully damaging one of its engines. With its momentum slowed, Cole rammed his Jet into the side of the Copter, tangling both craft together as they began losing altitude above Kryptarium prison. Thinking quickly, Cole activated the last of his jet's missiles, destroying both vehicles and dropping the four occupants into the prison's courtyard where the rest of the Ninja waited. Cole then ran out from the cloud of smoke rising from the vehicular debris, followed not long after by the Giant Stone Warrior. The Ninja then blasted the Giant Warrior with their Elemental Powers, slowly pushing it back towards its cell and successfully defeating it with one final, combined blast of their elemental powers. With the last of the prisoners recaptured, Noble asked the Ninja if there was any chance they would be willing to help fix the newly created hole in the wall as everyone laughed.

Trivia

Trivia[]

  • The comic from this issue was republished in Ghost Ninja.
  • In the comic, it was suggested that after the events of Season 4, Skylor became the symbol of Chen's Noodle House. However, in Season 5, there is still Chen's statue on the sign of the establishment.

Errors[]

  • In the comic, the Giant Stone Warrior speaks, whereas he stays silent (or speaks ancient language[1]) in the show.
    • The comic misidentifies him throughout the comic as Kozu, and he is also drawn with Kozu's appearance. It is unknown if the character was intended to be the Giant Stone Warrior but drawn with Kozu's appearance, or if he was intended to be Kozu but was given the Giant Stone Warrior's height. What is even more confusing, sometimes this Stone Warrior gets Kozu's height and can fit into the Blade-Copter.
