Escape from the Underworld! is a comic from the LEGO Club Magazine Issue 5 of 2011.
Plot
Plot[]
Within the Fire Temple, Kai has managed to save his sister, Nya, from being dropped into a pool of lava thanks to the Sword of Fire. However, he now finds himself surrounded and outmatched by Garmadon and his dark Shadows. Despite his best efforts, Kai is ultimately defeated by the shadows and disarmed of the Sword of Fire, but fortunately, Sensei Wu arrived just in time to intervene, catching the sword before taking the fight to Garmadon himself!
As Wu fights back against the shadows, he and Kai are forced to admit that they were severely outnumbered and would soon be overwhelmed. With no options remaining, Wu struck the ground beneath him with the Sword of Fire, plummeting himself into the Underworld. While Kai watches on with shock, Garmadon disappears, vowing to meet his brother there.
Sometime later, the ninja have gathered together outside of the Fire Temple, revealing that Samukai had attacked and stolen the other three Golden Weapons from them, taking them all to the Underworld. Although they are initially unsure of a way to follow their Sensei and their foes to the Underworld, Kai thinks up an idea and the ninja descend atop the backs of the four dragons. As they enter the Underworld, the ninja find their sensei locked in combat against Samukai for control over the Golden Weapons. As the ninja stand back and allow their master to fight alone, they watch on as the Skeleton General of Fire defeat their master and claims the Sword of Fire.
Rather than deliver the four weapons to his master however, Samukai turns defiantly towards Garmadon and declares that Garmadon will obey him now, for he now wielded all four Golden Weapons. Unfortunately for Samukai, the unity of the Four Weapons opens a portal where he once stood, disintegrating him and opening up the way out from the Underworld. Without a second to lose, Garmadon steps through the portal, proclaiming that his plan had worked and he was at last free of the Underworld and vowing to one day return to claim the four Golden Weapons.
