Wisp

Overview

This article is about Jay's original dragon. For other uses, see Lightning Dragon (disambiguation).
“Thanks for helping out, blue boy.”

Wisp was a Lightning Dragon, the guardian of the Nunchucks of Lightning and Jay's pet.

After merging with the three other dragons to form the Ultra Dragon, Wisp was eventually caught and killed by the Dragon Hunters to make Iron Baron's throne.[1]

History

History[]

Background[]

Originally from the First Realm, Wisp was placed in the Floating Ruins in Ninjago by Master Wu to guard the Nunchucks of Lightning.[2]

King of Shadows[]

When the ninja found the Nunchucks of Lightning on top of the Floating Ruins, Wisp appeared. The ninja escaped and the Lightning Dragon did not follow.

Weapons of Destiny[]

After the Golden Weapons had been taken to the Underworld, Jay confronted Wisp and managed to tame him. The Blue Ninja then rode him to the Underworld. After the ninja had reclaimed the Golden Weapons, he transported Jay back to Four Weapons.

Secrets of the Blacksmith[]

Jay and Nya rode Wisp to the blacksmith shop so Nya can pack up to move in with the ninja.

Rise of the Snakes[]

At some point, dragon pens were carved into the mountain underneath the Monastery of Spinjitzu and Wisp began living there with Rocky, Shard and Flame under the care of the ninja.

When the ninja learned that Lord Garmadon had apparently returned, Jay mounted Wisp and flew it to Jamanakai Village, racing the other ninja along the way. After the threat had been discovered to be merely Lloyd Garmadon, Jay flew him back to the monastery. When the Hypnobrai attacked the village later in the day, Jay once again rode on Wisp as transport there.

Home[]

After the ninja had left to destroy Lloyd's treehouse fortress, the ninja returned to the monastery, only to find it engulfed in flames and that the dragons including Wisp were trapped inside. The dragons were saved when Zane ordered Shard to put out the fire.

Snakebit[]

After the ninja discovered the Destiny's Bounty in the Sea of Sand, Wisp and the three other dragons took up residence in some nearby ruins. However, the Lightning Dragon began to molt and left the ninja for the Spirit Coves with his three dragon companions, where they merged together to become the Ultra Dragon.

Prior to Hunted[]

At some point after the events of The Final Battle, Wisp, now the Ultra Dragon, returned to the Realm of Oni and Dragons after one final mission with Lloyd and some time later was hunted down and killed by the Dragon Hunters and his head became a decoration of Iron Baron for his throne.

Appearance

Appearance[]

Wisp looked similar to Shard and Flame but was darker blue and had four legs, he had a saddle on his back which Jay sat on.
