Turbo Test!
Turbo Test![]
Today, the Secret Ninja Force face their newest enemy: high school exams! As the six heroes sit in their geography class, the teacher informs them that they would be having a large exam in two days, assuming that Lloyd's father didn't destroy the city by then. Before dismissing the class, the teacher reminded everyone that the test was crucial for their graduation and that they should all wear their ceremonial uniforms for the graduation ceremony. After class, the Secret Ninja Force returned to their dojo to prepare themselves for Garmadon's next attack on Ninjago City.
Deep within Garmadon's Volcano Lair, Garmadon remarked that he was tired of losing to the Secret Ninja Force. In response, one of his minions replied that the Secret Ninja Force was just "too cool," although General Number 1 hastily clarified that what the new guy meant was that the ninja's mechs were too powerful. After threatening to have the new guy fired through the volcano, Garmadon ordered his minions to devise a new plan to defeat the Ninja once and for all, with the losers being fired through the volcano.
Meanwhile, the ninja had gathered together to study and prepare for an upcoming exam at their high school, with Jay complaining that studying was no one's favorite activity. At that moment however, the Ninja received an alert of yet another attack on Ninjago City by Garmadon, prompting all six of them to suit up in their mechs and prepare for battle. In the ensuing battle, the Secret Ninja Force easily routed Garmadon's Shark Army and returned to the Destiny's Bounty where Wu immediately began to test their balance, expressing disappointment in his students' inability to focus. Elsewhere, Garmadon, true to his word, immediately fired all of his failed underlings from his volcano before informing the next squadron that they would deploy again tomorrow, attacking the same spot, and this time they would not fail as they would use twice as many troops as they did today.
The next day, Garmadon accidentally called Lloyd during the latter's lunch break at school, having intended to record his evil laughter as a new ringtone. While on the phone, Garmadon wished Lloyd best of luck at daycare while he would be out conquering, cluing Lloyd in on his scheme to attack Ninjago City again. Exasperated, Lloyd declared they would have to stop Garmadon again instead of studying during lunch like they had planned, much to Jay's despair. In the ensuing battle, Nya noted that Garmadon's forces were attacking the same exact spots as they did the day before, only with greater numbers. Nevertheless, the Ninja were still about to rout Garmadon's forces with little difficulty. Before they could celebrate however, all six ninja realized simultaneously that they were going to be late for their geography exam, barely returning to school in time. Although they were unable to study in time, the battles with Garmadon's Shark Army had inadvertently prepared the Ninja for the exam, as all of the questions were on locations that they had fought the Shark Army at. Once the test concluded, Nya expressed her joy and belief that all of them aced the exam, with Jay chiming in. Lloyd however, seemed less enthusiastic, noting that his ceremonial suit had been destroyed in the battle with Garmadon and his mother would not be pleased to learn this. At that moment, Wu arrived and gave Lloyd his old ceremonial suit, gifting it to him for acing the geography exam.
While Lloyd and his friends celebrated the end of another school year, Wu spoke with Koko, informing her that he would continue to try to teach Lloyd to bring out his true potential instead of relying so much on his mech. Elsewhere, a furious Garmadon ordered his scientists to immediately begin working on something new, evil, and huge! And don't forget about the cup holder! As his scientists hastily oblige, Garmadon vows that the Green Ninja had not yet seen the last of him, and next time, he will be the victor!

Trivia
Trivia[]
- The Magazine describes the comic as being a prelude to The LEGO Ninjago Movie.
- General #1 uses Omar's minifigure's appearance but he cannot be Omar because the latter wasn't promoted until the events of the movie, which take place after the events of this comic.
- Additionally, this General #1 is seen being fired at the end of the comic.
- Omar actually appears in the last panel as one of the other generals that Garmadon speaks to after the round of firings.
- This is the only issue of the Ninjago Magazine to solely centre around The LEGO Ninjago Movie.
- Despite this, and the fact it has numbering separate from the mainline issues, it is still specified on the covers of both the English release, and original German release, to be part of the Ninjago Magazine line, and not as its own.
- In some versions across different countries, the Collector's Album for The LEGO Ninjago Movie Sticker Series came bundled with the magazine.[1]
- The comic implies that Koko knew that Lloyd was the Green Ninja.
