After the Ninja made an appearance on Gayle Gossip's new morning show, during which they were praised as the greatest Elemental Masters, the Master of Portals became outraged and jealous that they were lauded with such an honor. He then recruited a series of Henchmen equipped with Vengestone to lure the ninja to his hideout, where he then subjected them to a series of dangerous games involving platforms and lots of portals.
As the ninja worked their way through the Master of Portals' game, he communicated with his prisoners through a hologram projector, through which he explained his motives and explained each of the ninjas' trials. Eventually, Lloyd thought up a way to exploit the man's jealousy by asking him why he was unwilling to confront the ninja face to face if he truly thought he was the greatest Elemental Master. Although the Master of Portals promptly revealed himself and summoned a portal to bring over his henchmen, he had only fallen into the ninja's trap. Not long after, he and his men were all swiftly defeated and taken to Kryptarium Prison, where he could only watch in rage as the ninja spoke on Gayle Gossip's show about their encounter with him and how they felt defeating him was hardly a challenge.
