Rice farmers are farmers who live in villages located in rural and agricultural areas of Ninjago such as Ignacia, the village in the valley and a small village among fields, and who cultivate rice in the rice fields. Although peaceful by nature, several of them end up in the middle of greater battles between the ninja and the forces of evil.

When the ninja leaped through to pursue their foe, they ended up in the middle of a rice field, outside Four Weapons. It is unclear if the rice farmers noticed the surprise visitors, but they played the same role as before when the Skulkin (plus a disguised Lord Garmadon) attacked the blacksmith shop.

Return of the Overlord[]

Some rice farmers were working in their fields when the Garmatron fired on Ignacia from the Island of Darkness. The Dark Matter missile rapidly corrupted the entire area, turning the rice farmers into snarling, purple-eyed servants of evil.

A Big Splash[]

When a convoy of the trucks with the henchmen appears on a dirt road in an unknown field, curious farmers raise their heads during their work to see what is happening. Later, when their village is almost destroyed by a huge water tornado created by Nya, the ninja save the villagers and farmers by going up the hill with them, where the water does not harm them.

Culture

Culture[]

Rice farmers live a peaceful life outside of big cities like Ninjago City, in various villages with rice fields, like Ignacia, the village in the valley and the farmers' village. They wear only very simple clothes, live in shacks and make a living from hard work. Sometimes they are also oppressed by more powerful samurai, who force them to work in their fields and harvest for them.
