Sobrient Stone

The Sobrient Stone[1] was a large gemstone that was once kept by Kex'k Metalwing. It was then obtained by Thunderfang, who wore it on a ring and infused it with his Chaos power. The Shatter Dragon later gave the stone to the Forbidden Five so they can corrupt the Dragonians.

Background[]

At some point before the Battle of the City of Temples, Thunderfang acquired the Sobrient Stone after its keeper Kex'k Metalwing died.[2][3]

The Spectral Lands[]

After encountering Thunderfang within his prison, the Forbidden Five were gifted the Sobrient Stone by the Chaos Dragon, who stated that it would be useful in their search for the Prismatic Blades. The gem would be then be carried by Kur and Zarkt into the Storm Village, where Nokt destroys it with Shatterspin, releasing its Chaos energy to corrupt the nearby Dragonians and grant the Five the ability to fly.

  • Corruption Inducement - Being infused with Thunderfang's dragon energy, the Sobrient Stone can corrupt nearby victims if destroyed.
  • Flight/Levitation Bestowal - The Sobrient Stone granted the Forbidden Five the power of flight upon destruction.

  • When asked how Thunderfang got the stone from Kex'k Metalwing, Chris "Doc" Wyatt replied, "Hold onto this."[5]
  • When asked if Kex'k or Thunderfang used the stone to empower Dragons during the War of Oni and Dragon, Chris "Doc" Wyatt replied, "ABSOLUTELY NOT."[6]
