Overview
- This article is about the actual dragon. For the episode, see The Shatter Dragon. For the set, see 71832 Thunderfang Dragon of Chaos.
Thunderfang (also known as the Shatter Dragon of Chaos) was the former highest Arc Dragon[2] after Firstbourne from the First Land, as well as a former general of the Dragon army who possessed the power of Chaos, being the source of the powers used by the Forbidden Five. Thunderfang wielded the extraordinary capability to conjure storms that unleash devastation, drawing upon the chaotic powers fueled from the souls of Oni he absorbed. Motivated by his numerous victories in the war against the Oni, he aspired to join the Source Dragons and become the Source Dragon of Chaos.[7] However, he was deemed unworthy, prompting him to seek retribution. He was ultimately defeated by the Arc Dragon of Focus in the City of Temples, resulting in his imprisonment beneath the Storm Mountain of the First Land. He then chose the Forbidden Five to receive his corrupted energy.
After the Forbidden Five returned, they aimed to find the Prismatic Blades and free Thunderfang to get more power from him in exchange. However, upon his release, Thunderfang betrayed them by devouring their souls and battled the ninja as he set out to exact vengeance against the Merged Realms once more. Ultimately, the Shatter Dragon met his demise at the hands of Arin, who used an healing elixir sourced from the Well of the Lost that allowed all the souls he had consumed (except for the Forbidden Five's souls) to either move on or return to their living bodies, causing his body to physically calcify before crumbling into light.
Consequently, Thunderfang's spirit was banished to the Spectral Lands, where he commenced a campaign to capture souls in order to evolve into a Source Dragon. He assembled an army of ghosts, consisting of the Forbidden Five and Spectral Dragonians, to harvest souls throughout the Merged Realms to power the Source-Henge to achieve his transformation. As the Chaos Dragon succeeded in gathering enough souls, the ninja attempted to reawaken the Arc Dragon of Focus in an effort to defeat him once and for all. However, Thunderfang sensed their plan and dispatched the Forbidden Five and Spectral Dragonians in an attempt to stop them, but with no success. During the Battle of the Spectral Lands, Lloyd and Arin bested Thunderfang with the Arc Dragon of Focus and destroyed the Well of the Lost, leading to Thunderfang's vanquishment.
History
History[]
Background[]
Thunderfang was born in the Realm of Oni and Dragons among the first generation of dragons born of and mothered by the Firstbourne.[3][8] At some point, he rose up the ranks to become the highest Arc Dragon due to being the Firstbourne's first lieutenant[2][3] and harnessed magic[9] to gain the ability to absorb the souls of others, which in turn amplified his own powers. During the War of Oni and Dragon, he served as a general in the Dragon army and was considered a war hero to his people. Throughout the conflict, he devoured the souls of hundreds of Oni and at some point encountered the Omega,[10] further enhancing his formidable powers. He would eventually be named the Shatter Dragon of Chaos, which reflected his tumultuous nature,[11] and his power to steal souls which became a point of contention that sharply divided the other dragons.[12] Thunderfang yearned for the prestigious honor of becoming a Source Dragon, believing his numerous victories in battle justified his claim to this revered status.[13] However, his aspirations were met with rejection from the Source Dragons, leaving him furious. This denial fueled a deep-seated bitterness within him, leading to a vengeful desire to annihilate everything in his path and seize the souls of the Source Dragons to usurp their power.[11][14] At some point, Thunderfang would steal the Sobrient Stone from Kex'k Metalwing[15] after the latter died,[16] which he would wear in a ring. As his first act of retaliation, Thunderfang unleashed the Winds of Chaos upon the City of Temples, aiming to destroy all the devout followers of the Source Dragons. However, he was interrupted in his attack by the Arc Dragon of Focus, the champion of the Source Dragons, who fought him to prevent him from causing chaos. The Arc Dragon finally prevailed over the Shatter Dragon and imprisoned him with five prismatic chains deep beneath the ground of the First Realm.[13]
Even though imprisoned beneath the ground of the First Realm, Thunderfang still attempted a few ways to break his containment, one by using the corrupted Oni souls and channeling their power. Another way was by influencing a group of wizards called the Carnus Conclave, which did not end well for them. Despite his influence on the wizards, none of these attempts were significantly close to freedom.[17]
At an unknown point in his life, Thunderfang chose to empower five individuals from the Wyldness, who would later be known as the Forbidden Five, by remotely transferring some of his Dragon energy to them.[18][19] This act granted them their elemental powers and a variety of other dark powers, infamously Theroxian Magic and the energy used to create Shatterspin. Thunderfang had a plan in mind, believing that these five would eventually return to him much later. He anticipated that they would seek to free him, hoping to gain even more power from him in return.[19]
The Spectral Lands[]
Thunderfang meets the Forbidden Five.
Millenia later, the Forbidden Five arrived in Thunderfang’s prison, unaware that the chained Chaos Dragon had anticipated their return and their plea for more power, and much to their shock, he greeted them as if they were perfectly on schedule and exactly where he had expected, prompting a confused Rox to question how he could have known they were coming, to which Thunderfang responded with a laugh, mocking their inability to see the truth and revealing that every action they had taken was part of a long-laid plan to ensure his freedom. Although Rox, unwilling to accept this, challenged the notion by pointing out that he had remained helplessly chained for a millennia, Thunderfang merely laughed again, amused by their arrogance, and noted that their ego and entitlement reminded him of his younger self, before reaffirming the nature of their bargain: breaking his chains in exchange for the immense power he alone could grant them. Though the Five accepted the deal, they admitted they still needed assistance in locating the five Prismatic Blades, which led Thunderfang to remove the Sobrient Stone from a ring he had worn for ages and offer it to them as a guide to aid in their search.
I Alone Can Save Them[]
Rox and Nokt used the Green and Red Prismatic Blades to cut the prismatic chains that held Thunderfang's arms. The Shatter Dragon remarked that this was the closest he had been to freedom in a millennia, yet three other prismatic chains still bind him, but Rox assured him that the Forbidden Five were hunting down the remaining blades at that very moment.
Their Draconic Majesty's Request[]
Rox stepped forward, the repaired Yellow Prismatic Blade pulsing with a steady glow in her hand. With a swift, decisive motion, she slashed downward, severing the massive chain that bound Thunderfang’s left hind leg. Sparks flew, and the shattered links clattered to the ground like thunder in the silent chamber. Thunderfang asked when he would expect the final two chains to be eliminated, to which Rox replied that the final blades were being hunted down right now, prompting the dragon to warn her that they better be.
Chaos Unchained[]
Thunderfang became aware that Drix had successfully retrieved the final two Prismatic Blades. He vocally denounced the Source Dragons, branding them as cosmic impostors for their refusal to bestow upon him the esteemed title of Source Dragon. Thunderfang proclaimed that, despite being denied this honor for countless ages, his ascendance was imminent. After a while, he began to summon the Winds of Chaos, unleashing a colossal storm that coincided with an intense battle among the ninja, the Forbidden Five, and the Dragonian Warriors, all vying for control of the Prismatic Blades. Ultimately, the Forbidden Five succeeded in claiming the last two blades, which Zarkt and Drix wielded to sever the chains that had long shackled Thunderfang's neck and right hind leg. However, when they demanded the dark powers he had promised them, Thunderfang derided them as fools, expressing disbelief at their naivety in trusting him. In a treacherous act, he consumed their souls, killing the Five. With his chains broken, Thunderfang began to ascend from the depths of the First Land.
The Shatter Dragon[]
Breaking out of his prison, Thunderfang roared into the sky, vowing to get his revenge on the Source Dragons for rejecting him. The ninja begin to battle him from all sides, to which he responded with lazy swings of his tail at Arin, Lloyd, Nya, and Kai when they tried to use Spinjitzu on him. Thunderfang dismissed their feeble efforts, remarking that it took the Arc Dragon of Focus to defeat him last time and mere mortals like them stood no chance. He attempted to stomp on them like insects until the Ultra Combiner Mech struck him from behind and blasted him in the face. Deflecting the Ultra Mech's blast, Thunderfang grabbed it with his mouth and tried to crush it, but Wyldfyre arrived in the Mech Storm Rider and threw a Heat blast in the dragon's mouth, forcing him to release the Combiner Mech. Thunderfang was then struck in the chest by a triple Rising Dragon attack, stumbling as he sensed the power of a Source Dragon Conduit nearby. Realizing that Lloyd was the conduit, and by extension a direct line to the Source Dragons, Thunderfang sought to consume his soul to transcend. In a desperate act of defense, Lloyd fired an Energy blast, but Thunderfang simply swallowed it and asked which Source Dragon energy the conduit channeled: the incessant busy body, Motion; the self-obsessed Strength; or Life. Without waiting for an answer, Thunderfang zapped Lloyd into a cliff, knocking the ninja out. Now unimpeded, Thunderfang began to absorb his soul but was stopped by P.I.X.A.L. and Zane's intervention. Annoyed, the Shatter Dragon made swift work of his attacking foes and had the Dragonian Trackers restrain Riyu so no one could interfere with his next attempt to consume the Conduit's soul. Once Lloyd's soul was devoured, Thunderfang turned to the heavens and called out to the Source Dragons, declaring that he had reaped the soul of one of their mortal conduits and they could deny him no longer; he would not stop until he devours all of their souls as well. At this moment, Arin recalled the elixir from the Spectral Lands and how he had been told that it allowed souls to "move on." By looking through the Returning Blade, Arin saw the multitude of souls trapped within Thunderfang and threw the elixir at the massive dragon using his Object Spinjitzu. The bottle lands directly against the dragon's face, shocking him as his body began to physically calcify before crumbling into light. As Thunderfang fell to the ground, crumpled and dying, all the souls he had consumed now began to escape from him, moving on while Lloyd's was returned to his body and the Forbidden Five's were swallowed once more by the dying dragon. In a bright flash of light, Thunderfang exploded, releasing all the remaining souls but the Five's while freeing the Dragonian Warriors from his thrall and reverting them to normal.
In the Spectral Lands, Thunderfang's spirit forms at the Well of the Lost, where he meets Morro. Morro is shocked by his size but nevertheless offers to defend the dragon as several Soul Suckers arrive. Seemingly miffed by Morro's suggestion that he even needed protection, Thunderfang absorbed their souls much to Morro's surprise. When the ghostly warrior stammered that such power was impossible, Thunderfang snidely replied that in the afterlife, anything was possible before consuming Morro's soul as well and letting loose an evil laughter as a new scheme formed in the Shatter Dragon's mind.
Prior to The Hollow Ones[]
During his time in the Spectral Lands, Thunderfang discovered he can use the Well of the Lost to transform into a Source Dragon. But doing this requires an enormous amount of souls. Certain that this is a task he can't do on his own, he chose to make the ghosts of the Forbidden Five his unwilling servants and tasked them with stealing souls. He would later do the same with the Spectral Dragonians, the fallen Dragonian Trackers who died in their corrupted forms,[20] and add them to his growing army of spectral Hollow Ones.[21][22]
Casket of Bones[]
Thunderfang with his subordinates.
Thunderfang and four of the Five were at the Well of the Lost, waiting for Drix to arrive with the souls he reaped. As Drix ejected the souls from his magical flute, Thunderfang comments that the Source Dragons will rue the day they rejected him and laughs as his growing power begins to charge.
Under the Light of a Mechanical Moon[]
The Five continue to give Thunderfang more souls for his ultimate plan. He watches Rox as she adds more stolen souls into the Source-Henge, and laughs.
The Vault of Focus[]
When Nokt arrived from Imperium, he ejected the souls he still had into the Well. A perplexed Thunderfang chastised Nokt, pointing out that Imperium is a densely populated land. Shortly thereafter, Rox returned with more souls, in which Thunderfang remarked that her contributions were more fitting. With a sufficient number of souls collected, the Well surged with energy, leading Thunderfang to declare that he had finally amassed enough souls to commence his evolution.
For Whom the Bell Tolls[]
Thunderfang was in the midst of his evolution. As he gathered the soul energy from the Source-Henge, his body gradually transformed, with spikes and a huge claw emerging from his left arm. During this process, he sensed a plot to awaken the Arc Dragon of Focus and promptly informed the Forbidden Five. Upon discovering it was the ninja, he questioned their audacity to awaken his mortal enemy.
When Doves Cry[]
Thunderfang continued to evolve into a Source Dragon, when Arin and Lloyd came near the Well of the Lost. While he was evolving, Nokt, Rox, and Drix led the Spectral Dragonians to fight them off but Lloyd remembered that Bleckt told them of a cavern underneath the Well and escaped there with Arin.
As the duo discovered the Unbidden Storm lost power, Thunderfang laughs as he finishes his transformation.
Chaos Reigns[]
As he neared the final stage of his evolution, Thunderfang proclaimed to the Source Dragons that they had unjustly denied him his place among them. Unwilling to accept this rejection any longer, he vowed to force himself into their ranks and exact revenge. Over time, Thunderfang saw that the ninja had successfully summoned the Arc Dragon of Focus. Misinterpreting this as a sign that the Source Dragons feared his growing power, he confronted the Arc Dragon, asserting that although it had previously defeated him in the Battle of the City of Temples, he was now stronger than ever. With his wings charged with soul energy, Thunderfang launched himself at the Arc Dragon of Focus.
As Thunderfang clawed the Arc Dragon, the avatar responded with a tail whip and its purple head bit the Shatter Dragon but was thrown aside. Thunderfang taunts that the Arc Dragon is nothing more than a lapdog of the Sources and a puppet of corrupt masters. As he declared that he will be the eighth Source Dragon and rain chaos among the Merged Lands, the Arc Dragon of Focus charged at him but had to defend itself against Thunderfang's blast, using its wings. Lloyd and Arin discover the Arc Dragon needs their help and charge at Thunderfang, who responds with a punch that blew Lloyd and Arin back into the wall while the Arc Dragon was briefly taken down. As the two get back up, Thunderfang throws the Arc Dragon into a large hill. Lloyd attempts to fight but Arin can't keep in sync with Lloyd, which causes Thunderfang to defeat the tan side and throw large rocks at it.
Thanks to Lloyd and Arin's focus, the Arc Dragon of Focus managed to fight better, angering Thunderfang, who questioned the audacity of the Source Dragons in monopolizing their power. Thunderfang asserted his rightful place among them and charged forward. Lloyd and Arin made the Arc Dragon fire its focus beams, which caused the Shatter Dragon to be blown back into the hilltop where the Well of the Lost was, destroying it. The destruction of the Well led to the disappearance of Thunderfang, which released a surge of soul energy that returned the stolen souls to the Hollow Ones. In this process, the spectral Hollow Ones (the Forbidden Five and Spectral Dragonians) dissipated.

Personality
Personality[]
Thunderfang is power-hungry and self-entitled, demanding to become the Source Dragon of Chaos mainly out of feeling he deserved it. He is also cunning and deceptive, manipulating the Forbidden Five into freeing him and never living up to his promise of giving them more power. He's extremely vengeful and harbors extreme hatred for the Source Dragons for denying him the title he desires, even going as far as calling them cosmic frauds. Furthermore, he is also somewhat nihilistic as he doesn't seem to care about the reality-destroying consequences of killing the Source Dragons. He is also very ruthless, as he didn't hesitate to attack the City of Temples, intending to kill all of the devout followers of the Source Dragons. This is further proven as soon as he betrayed the Forbidden Five by draining their souls from their bodies without hesitation, killing them, and also doing the same with Lloyd when he found out he was a conduit. Thunderfang's most defining traits were his undying vindictiveness and over-consuming narcissism, as he rants about how the Source Dragons refused his "rightful place" amongst them and how he "belonged" amongst them, and while he knows that killing the Source Dragons would destabilize all of reality, he didn’t care due to his obsession with revenge against the Sources. He is also extremely sadistic, as he takes pleasure in causing pain and chaos, best shown when he gleefully consumed the souls of the Forbidden Five, which painfully hurt their bodies before killing them. His monstrous sadism is more evidently shown as he callously laughed while absorbing the souls of Morro and Lloyd, showing a horrifying lack of empathy and mercy. He is also tyrannical, as was seen when he took control over the Spectral Lands to start the spectral invasions to transform people into Hollow Ones. Despite his intelligence, he seems to be unaware of the Source Dragon of Balance's death before the Merge, as he kept calling the Source Dragons the "Seven" and "Seven Cosmic Frauds" and called himself the "Eighth Source" when there are currently six remaining.
Thunderfang is also somewhat hypocritical, as he claims that the Source Dragons keep all the power for themselves, but by absorbing souls from hundreds of Oni and betraying the Forbidden Five via never intending to honor his promise and just absorbing their souls to strengthen himself, it becomes clear that Thunderfang is truly the one who kept all the power for himself. Like the Source Dragon of Strength, he has a low opinion on mortals, as when fighting the Ninja, he boasts about how the Arc Dragon of Focus defeated him last time and that puny mortals like them stood no chance against him. Ultimately, Thunderfang's arrogance, delusion, self-entitlement, and egotism led to his downfall, as Arin (a mortal that he claimed stood no chance against him) was able to kill him using the healing elixir from the Well of the Lost. During his final fight in the Spectral Lands, he taunted the Arc Dragon of Focus about its loyalty to the Source Dragons, and when the Arc Dragon was able to fight better due to Lloyd and Arin's focus, he still accused the Source Dragons as corrupt individuals who kept everything for themselves and that he deserved to be amongst them. When Thunderfang was finally beaten, the Spectral Dragonians and Forbidden Five did not mourn his defeat, showing that their master was nothing more than a truly cruel, egotistical, pitiless, arrogant, callous, ungrateful, uncaring, selfish, heartless, and sadistic dragon who got what was coming to him.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- He is the ninth evil dragon introduced in the franchise. The previous eight include the Nindroid MechDragon, Morro's dragon, the Ghost Dragons, Boreal, the Empire Dragon, the Blue Dragon, Grief-Bringer, and the Dragonides.
- He is also the first evil dragon since Grief-Bringer to be a mortal dragon. Additionally, both Thunderfang and Grief-Bringer experienced death and returned in different forms; Grief-Bringer returned as a reanimated skeleton, while Thunderfang became a ghost.
- He is also the first villainous dragon featured in Dragons Rising, although the two Earth Dragons in the Land of Madness served as enemies to the ninja.
- He is also notably the first dragon in the franchise to serve as a main antagonist.
- He is the fourth creature that a main antagonist wanted to unleash as part of a master scheme. The first three included the Great Devourer, released by Pythor; the Preeminent, freed by Morro; and Wojira, awakened by Kalmaar.
- The Forbidden Five's plan to release Thunderfang mirrors Kalmaar's approach to awakening Wojira, as both plans involve the main antagonist using a colossal creature that can create storms to cause chaos and devastation, with the Forbidden Five intending to use Thunderfang to gain more Chaos energy, while Kalmaar sought to unleash Wojira to flood all the islands in Ninjago.
- While both Thunderfang and Wojira are seen as beings of chaos due to their storm abilities, their powers differ significantly, as Wojira controls storms of wind and rain, whereas Thunderfang's storms embody primal chaos.[25]
- Chris "Doc" Wyatt stated that Wojira is not more powerful than Thunderfang.[25]
- The Forbidden Five's quest to find the five Prismatic Blades to free Thunderfang is very similar to the Pythor's quest to find the four silver Fangblades to unleash the Great Devourer as seen in Rise of the Snakes.
- Furthermore, Thunderfang's betrayal of the Forbidden Five makes him the first being since the Great Devourer to turn against its liberators immediately after being freed.
- Thunderfang is older than the First Spinjitzu Master, due to being from the first generation after Firstbourne and having participated throughout the war between Dragons and Oni.[26]
- This makes Thundefang the second oldest known mortal dragon.
- Thunderfang's imprisonment under the Storm Village is very similar to Garmadon’s banishment to the Underworld as seen in "Battle Between Brothers" even down to the camera shot of the two characters falling into a dark abyss.
- When asked if Firstbourne or Thunderfang was stronger, Kevin Burke jokingly said, "Fugi-Dove".[27]
- When Chris "Doc" Wyatt was asked who would win with both in their primes he stated, "I guess it depends on circumstances-- I want to say Firstbourne, but does Thunderfang have any advantages (sneak attack, etc...). I guess I'd say odds would be 6 out of 10 in favor of the Firstbourne".[28]
- Thunderfang initially drew his powers from the souls of the Oni he defeated.[29]
- When asked whether the Oni souls consumed by Thunderfang powered him with Destruction, Chris "Doc" Wyatt clarified that Thunderfang was solely fueled by the energy of the souls themselves.[30]
- Thunderfang shares several similarities with the Overlord and the Omega:
- Both Thunderfang and the Overlord bestowed their power to groups of individuals.
- Both Thunderfang and the Overlord commanded armies of beings corrupted/infused with their essence.
- Both Thunderfang and the Overlord appear for seven episodes before being defeated and returning.
- All their color schemes involve purple.
- Both Thunderfang and the Overlord share a voice actor with another main villain, with the Overlord sharing one with Nadakhan and Thunderfang sharing one with Vangelis.
- Both Thunderfang and the Omega were involved in the War of Oni and Dragon, with Thunderfang being the dragon counterpart to the Omega in a military sense before he turned evil.[31]
- Both Thunderfang and the Overlord are interested in the cosmic order in some sense, with the Overlord seeking to destroy the Balance and Thunderfang desiring to become a Source Dragon.
- Both Thunderfang and the Overlord were interested with Lloyd; the Overlord was interested with him due to him having Golden Power, whereas Thunderfang only became obsessed with him after learning he is a Source Dragon Conduit.
- All their plans involve affecting a large amount of people, with the Omega petrifying anyone who is not Oni with his darkness, the Overlord crystalizing the people of Ninjago, and Thunderfang requiring a large amount of souls in his attempt to become a Source Dragon.
- Both Thunderfang and the Overlord receive physical transformations at the end of their stories.
- Upon their defeats, the beings corrupted by the Overlord and Thunderfang's power are restored to their original state.
- Both Thunderfang and the Omega's fates are left uncertain by the end of their respective seasons.
- Both Thunderfang and the Overlord are trapped in a isolated area for the first part of their stories and use manipulation in order to be freed.
- Both Thunderfang and the Overlord were defeated by a multi-headed dragon; the Overlord being defeated by the Golden Ultra Dragon and Thunderfang losing to the Arc Dragon of Focus.
- Thunderfang is the only known dragon with more than two eyes (aside from dragons with multiple heads), as he has six small eyes.
- Like Heatwave and Leaf Blade, he shares his name with a Pokémon move.
- In addition, he and Leaf Blade both speak telepathically.
- He is one of the nine main antagonists (or group of main antagonists) to be from another realm, the others being the Preeminent, Nadakhan, Iron Baron, the Omega, Vex, Ras, Beatrix, and the Forbidden Five.
- Though likely just a coincidence, the tip of Thunderfang's tail ironically resembles the symbol of the Source Dragon of Motion.
- Thunderfang is the third main antagonist in the franchise to be defeated by a dragon. The first two are Iron Baron and the Overlord.
- Thunderfang cannot use the Elemental Powers from the souls of any Elemental Masters that he absorbs.[32]
- Although he was a direct spawn of Firstbourne and an Arc Dragon, he did not fall under a Source Dragon because he wasn’t born with an elemental power.[33]
- Chris "Doc" Wyatt explained that Thunderfang's ambition to become the eighth Source, specifically by aiming to be the Source Dragon of Chaos, was fundamentally misguided. He pointed out that Thunderfang failed to grasp the reality of his aspirations, as that was never going to happen.[34] Furthermore, he elaborated that Thunderfang's belief of becoming part of the cosmic order like the Source Dragons by forcing his way into their council was false.[35]
- Thunderfang and the Arc Dragon of Focus's powers during their second battle were only half of the Source Dragons' power.[36]
- Thunderfang received the Sobrient Stone from Kex'k Metalwing.[37]

Relationships
These are the relationships of the Shatter Dragon of Chaos, Thunderfang.
Family
Family[]
Firstbourne[]
Firstbourne is the mother of Thunderfang.[1] The nature of their relationship is currently unknown.
Allies
Allies[]
Forbidden Five[]
The Forbidden Five are five anthropomorphic beings who were corrupted after being given Chaos by Thunderfang, who initially used them as a means to escape his imprisonment by exploiting their desire for power. Thunderfang has a psychic link with each member of the Forbidden Five at all times, allowing him to know everything about their plans.
Thunderfang struck a deal with them, offering greater strength for their conquests in return for his freedom, which depended on their ability to retrieve the Prismatic Blades. The Forbidden Five completed their mission and freed Thunderfang, but he had no intention of honoring his promise. Ultimately, he betrayed them by seizing their souls, leading to their demise. However, after he was defeated and banished to the Spectral Lands, Thunderfang resumed using the Forbidden Five, transforming them into Hollow ghosts alongside the Spectral Dragonians to harvest the souls of the living, all in his quest to become the Source Dragon of Chaos. When Thunderfang sensed that the ninja were trying to awaken the Arc Dragon of Focus, he sent the Forbidden Five to thwart their efforts.
Dragonian Trackers (formerly)[]
After giving the Forbidden Five the Sobrient Stone, Thunderfang ordered them to corrupt the Dragonians as they can sense Prismatic Blades. After Thunderfang betrayed the Forbidden Five, he began using Dragonian Trackers to fight the ninja until he was been defeated again.
Spectral Dragonians[]
After Thunderfang was banished to the Spectral Lands, he used Spectral Dragonians along with the Forbidden Five as his army as part of his plan to become a Source Dragon. The Spectral Dragonians are ghosts of the Dragonian Trackers who died while they were corrupted by the Sobrient Stone.
Enemies
Enemies[]
Oni[]
The Oni are the sworn enemies of Thunderfang. As the general of the dragon army during the war, Thunderfang battled several of the Oni, absorbing their souls. He harnessed their soul energy to fuel his chaotic powers. Thousands of years later, however, Arin used a healing elixir to defeat Thunderfang, freeing all the captured Oni souls in the process.
Source Dragons[]
Thunderfang holds a great deal of animosity towards the Source Dragons for not allowing him to join their ranks; he admires the power and status they possess, but somewhat deems them unworthy of it as seen when he described them as the "seven cosmic frauds".
Arc Dragon of Focus[]
The Arc Dragon of Focus is Thunderfang's sworn enemy, having imprisoned him for millennia following their battle in the City of Temples. Focus is the natural enemy of Chaos.
They met again during Battle of the Spectral Lands. Thunderfang mocked his adversary for its loyalty to Sources, believing this time, he would come victorious. However, with Arin and Lloyd's guidance, the Arc Dragon of Focus defeated him once again.
Ninja[]
Though they did not interact much, Thunderfang is shown to have a low opinion of the ninja due to his power with the exception of Lloyd, who he showed interest in due to him being a conduit.
