Lessons from Kai's jorney is a Ninjago: Dragons Rising comic that was featured in an issue of the LEGO Magazine.
Plot

One day in the training yard of the Monastery of Spinjitzu, Kai was teaching Wyldfyre to hone in on her precision. After missing the target however, Wyldfyre became upset and stormed off, declaring that she was never going to practice again. In spite of Kai's insistence that it was okay, the girl stormed off and crouched inside a cabinet before slamming it shut and disturbing some of the scrolls that rested atop.
After Kai found her hiding spot, he opened the cabinet door and urged the sullen girl to try again. As she stepped out of the cabinet, one of the scrolls fell and hit Wyldfyre on the head, causing her to ask her teacher as to what they were. Kai responded by showing her the contents of one of the scrolls, informing her that they were a journal he kept while traveling inside the Land of Monsters and what lessons he learned from the journey. From this, Wyldfyre realized that mistakes were okay and part of one's learning process.
Later that day, Wyldfyre picked up her training again, telling herself that even though she was missing the target, she could only get better with practice! As she shot fireballs, Kai put away the scrolls, briefly turning after Wyldfyre called out to him to point out that she finally struck it! Impressed, Kai told his student that this was the power of never giving up!

- The comic shares similarities to "Kai's monstrous journey", however, unlike the previous story, this one is branded under Dragons Rising instead of Legends.
- This comic was meant to be a simplified and slightly more kid-friendly version of the previous story. With the age demographic being around 4 and 5 year olds, while the previous one targeted kids older than six.[1]

- Despite the comic taking place between the two halves of Season 3, Kai is wearing his Tournament of Sources outfit.
