Ninjago (realm)

Overview

This article is about the realm. For other uses, see Ninjago (disambiguation).

Ninjago (also called the Ninjago Realm[1]) was one of the realms before the Merge and is now part of the new Merged Lands. Primarily a void of space, the realm contains a planet that was originally an Endless Sea ruled by Wojira before the First Spinjitzu Master migrated from the Realm of Oni and Dragons. After Nyad defeated Wojira, the First Spinjitzu Master created a landmass he called Ninjago (which gave the name of the realm), which he eventually split in two Islands during the Stone Wars: the Dark Island to the West and the current Island of Ninjago to the East, that was eventually inhabited by humans, Serpentine, and various other species. It is the sister realm of the realms created by the First Spinjitzu Master.[2]

As a result of the Merge, all the realms, including Ninjago, combined to make one single world. However, MergeQuakes would occur and rifts appeared in the sky, until a storm was formed before being stabilized by the three Dragon Cores.

Trivia

Trivia[]

  • When asked what the realm's original name was prior to the First Spinjitzu Master creating it, Tommy Andreasen answered, "Ninjago is the continent. Idk. The Infinite Sea?"[6]
  • The realm of Ninjago appeared in every episode of the original series until Season 11, when most episodes of the second half of the season are set in another realm, the Never-Realm.
  • Astro parasites are the only species in the realm not known to originate from Ninjago's planet or have migrated from another realm.
  • It is implied in Way of the Departed that the realm of Ninjago expand into infinity, as one of Cole's teachers stated that the Moon was suspended in a "infinite void of airless darkness."
    • This is also implied by Tommy Andreasen when he explained Lilly lied to her son about the origins of the Moon and outer space due to him being uncapable of understanding concepts such as infinity.[7]
