Cragger's confederation

Overview

Cragger's confederation was an alliance of the Tribes of Chima who sought to overturn the status quo of Chima, seizing control of the Chi from the Lion Tribe in order to dominate its distribution throughout the land. Formed beneath the overall leadership of the Crocodile Tribe with the Wolf Tribe and Raven Tribe as their most consistent allies, this confederation would function as one of two sides in the civil war that grappled their homeland, though internal disagreement between the different factions that comprised the alliance was not unheard of.

Legends of Chima, Season 1[]

The Lion Tribe had traditionally been the guardians of Chi, regarding its protection and distribution as a sacred responsibility tied to maintaining peace and balance in Chima. However, Cragger became increasingly fascinated by Chi. His curiosity eventually led him into the Lion Temple, where he used a Chi orb despite not being old enough. This incident contributed to the growing tensions between the Lions and Crocodiles. During the resulting confrontation at the Fangs, Cragger's parents, King Crominus and Queen Crunket, fell into the Gorge of Eternal Depth and were believed to have died. Cragger consequently became king of the Crocodiles while still grieving.

Determined to take control of the Crocodile Tribe, Crooler used the Persuader Plant on Cragger, causing him to believe that the Lions were responsible for his parents' apparent deaths. The Wolves joined him partly because Worriz already resented Laval after being humiliated during the Golden Chi joust and due to close ties which already connected both tribes. Cragger secured Razar's cooperation by offering them the Crocodiles' "trinkets and treasure." Although the Raven Tribe initially hesitated, Razar emphasized the rewards they would receive, persuading them to participate. Thus, the Crocodiles, Wolves, and Ravens came together for the assault on the Lions. The resulting rebel force was powerful enough to overwhelm the Lion, even after they received help from the Eagles and Gorillas. However, the battle ultimately turned against Cragger when Laval returned with the Lion Legend Beast, which had rescued him after Cragger left him to drown at the Forever Rock. The appearance of the Legend Beast shocked both the attackers and defenders. Cragger attempted to confront the Legend Beast, but was effortlessly defeated. Laval gave Cragger ten seconds to withdraw his troops, causing the Rebel Tribes to retreat from the Lion City.
