Sometime after escaping Imperium, Sora made her way to the Crossroads where she encountered an urchin fruit vendor. As she reached for a piece of fruit, the vendor snapped at her, stating that he was running a business and not a charity, adding that he would not accept any currency that did not originate in Ninjago. When an elderly woman passed by the stall, she complained that the prices the vendor was charging per fruit was triple what he was asking for yesterday - a claim the vendor did not deny but instead openly admitted to, stating that a crisis for some is an opportunity for others. As the vendor argued with the elderly woman about the ethics of his business practices, Sora stole a piece of urchin fruit from the bottom row, causing nearly all of the rest to spill out. Enraged, the vendor then offered free fruit to whoever could capture Sora for stealing from him.

Some time after Sora moved in with Arin, the latter was trying out the grappling gun Sora had made for him, but accidentally fired it, deploying the cord right in front of the urchin fruit vendor who was carrying a crate of produce. Unaware of the hazard, the vendor tripped over the grappling cord and spilled his crate of urchin fruit.
