Serpentine Sneak Attack! is the 141st issue of the Ninjago Magazine. It includes L0002203 Dragon Nya and Draconus Lloyd appears on the cover.

Kai, Nya, and Jay continued their quest through the Land of Madness, searching for The Administration to restore Jay's memories. On their journey, Jay began explaining some of the various forms he had to process as one of the Administration's agents. This was overheard by a group of Serpentine who stylized themselves as the "Administration Resistance Faction." Believing that the three ninja were Administration Agents, they leapt out from their hiding spot to attack!
In the ensuing battle, the ninja easily defeated the Serpentine, forcing the latter group to call for reinforcements. The ninja were soon surrounded by several Mud monsters, prompting Kai to groan that if his Elemental Powers were working properly, he would bake them on the spot. The ninja then attacked the mud monsters with Spinjitzu, but their attacks had little effect against the monsters' soft bodies. The mud monsters then converged to envelop and smother the ninja, allowing for them to be handcuffed and taken as prisoners by the Administration Resistance Faction.
As the resistors brought the captured ninja to their hideout, the Serpentine leader called for one of the others to send word to the Administration to release their captive members in exchange for the three ninja, whom the Serpentine still believed were Administration agents. Upon overhearing this, Kai asked for confirmation just as Agent Ramirez made his presence known alongside a squad of real agents. Ramirez interjected in response to Kai's query, confirming that the Administration was indeed holding members of the Serpentine cell as prisoners until they finished filing multiple forms. However, since the Administration estimated that the snakes would need another two months at least to finish, Agent Ramirez has decided to simply capture the entire Serpentine cell as prisoners.
The Serpentine cell retaliated, summoning their mud monsters to combat the agents. In the chaos, Jay used his unstable powers to break free of his handcuffs. He then retrieved his allies' weapons and released them from their cuffs as well before pointing out that they had to stop the two Master Mechs employed by Ramirez' squad. After confirming that Jay knew how to operate one, Kai and Nya attacked one of the mechs with Spinjitzu while Jay climbed onboard and commandeered it. He then smashed apart the other mech, forcing Ramirez and his squad to flee.
With the agents defeated, the Serpentine leader apologized to the ninja and promised to assist them in any way they could. At the ninja's request, the group led them to the headquarters of the Administration but cautioned them that agents could be crawling all over the area. As if on cue, an agent appeared and asked if the group had permits to be in the area. The Serpentine then attacked the agents while the ninja made their way to the Administration's headquarters.

- In the UK, "Epic Upgrade!" was released instead as Issue 141.
- In the comic, an Anacondrai leading the resistance against the Administration is shown, although there are only supposed to be two living individuals of that tribe: Pythor and Strike. As such, the comic is considered non-canon.
