Size Isn't Everything
Size Isn't Everything[]
After defeating Thunderfang, the Ninja have retreated to the Monastery of Spinjitzu where P.I.X.A.L. informs Alfonzo Frohicky that she was going to help Zane reconstruct his usual form. Mr. Frohicky seemed relieved by this news, noting that once Zane was restored to his human sized form, he would be welcome back into the kitchen; after all, he had broken too many plates with his larger body!
Having overheard the conversation, Cole and Lloyd ask Zane why he wanted to return to his original, smaller body, noting that his "mech" form was not only larger, but significantly more powerful. Zane responded that while true, his new body was not comfortable for him, as he had to constantly remain vigilant and cautious about his surroundings to avoid damaging and bumping into things around him. Supportive of their friend's decision, the ninja agree to accompany Zane to Borg Tower to acquire the parts necessary to reconstruct his original body.
Sometime later, the ninja stroll through Ninjago City though Zane takes notice of a nearby pully that was about to fray. Springing into action, Zane propelled forward and caught the grand piano that was being hoisted up just as the pully's rope snapped. Carrying the piano with one hand, Zane set it down and cautioned the workers to be more cautious next time about the condition of their equipment. Impressed by their friend's newfound strength, Cole noted to Zane that he could never have done such a thing single-handedly with his normal body. Shortly after, the ninja came across a traffic jam, with one truck driver lamenting that he lacked a car jack to change his deflated tires. Zane then stepped forward and lifted the truck up himself, momentarily reminding Wyldfyre that there was no need for her to be swinging his arm up and down as he was not a lever.
A few blocks later in the Old Town, the ninja came across an elderly lady whose cat, Peppa, was stuck in a tree. Seeing the ninja, the lady asked if they could be of assistance and Zane immediately sprung into action. After returning Peppa to its owner, the lady thanked Zane heartily, declaring him a "Super Ninja!" Shortly after, the ninja came across a group of construction workers who were repaving a street. As the workers bemoaned the fact that layering and smoothing the asphalt would take them two more hours, the ninja all turned towards Zane who sighed before once again providing assistance, smoothing out the road in minutes.
By the time the ninja finally arrived at Borg Tower, the building was closed and all its employees had gone home for the day. Fortunately, P.I.X.A.L. had the building's access codes and let the ninja in, leading them to the production floor to source the needed parts. Unfortunately, it seemed like the ninja had an unwelcome surprise waiting for them: The Mechanic and his Henchmen were in the middle of a heist!
Realizing that they had been discovered, the Mechanic immediately taunted the ninja, warning that they were too late for he and his men had already armed the new mech suits they were aiming to steal! Undeterred, Zane stepped forward and declared that the Mechanic was his, unleashing a torrent of Ice to freeze the ground beneath the cybernetic crook. Although the Mechanic attempted to laugh off Zane's attack at first, claiming that his new cyber arms helped him maintain balance, the Mechanic soon found himself slipping and sliding all over and shouted for his henchmen to start their mech suits.
As the battle commenced, the ninja fought hard but soon discovered that these new mech suits were not to be underestimated. Strong, fast, and resistant to elemental powers, the ninja soon found themselves on the defensive. To further complicate matters, the Mechanic ordered the other four mechs to form up on him, combining together into one super mech with the Mechanic at the head! Stronger than before, the Mechanic swiftly defeated Wyldfyre and Lloyd as they rushed towards him, forcing the ninja to think of alternatives. Luckily, P.I.X.A.L. was able to outfit Zane's fists with some nearby parts for enhanced punching power, and with them, Zane swiftly destroyed the Mechanic and his minion's mega mech. Shortly thereafter, Cole asked Zane if he was still intent on returning to his original form - to which Zane confessed that now, he was not so sure anymore after all!
