Reveal Blades

The Reveal Blades are a pair of Prismatic Blades designed by the Advanced Systems Lab, optimized for greater effectiveness and abilities against Spectral Dragonians.

History

The Vault of Focus[]

Upon discovering that Spectral Dragonians were attacking the Merged Realms to steal souls for Thunderfang, the Advanced Systems Lab planned to create new Prismatic Blades to eliminate them for good, thus designing the Reveal Blades. Unfortunately, they lacked the essential Prismatic Steel forged with soul energy, and their supply of regular Prismatic Ore was barely sufficient for creating Percival's goggles. This shortage left them unable to produce the Reveal Blades as initially intended. When Nokt and the Spectral Dragonians launched an assault on the City of Imperium to capture the souls of its inhabitants, Percival suggested to Kai and Frak that they could enhance their Prismatic Blades to transform them into Reveal Blades. Upon reaching the Advanced Systems Lab, the scientists upgraded two of the blades, equipping Kai and Frak with their enhanced weapons. Armed with the Reveal Blades, Kai and Frak managed to defeat the Spectral Dragonians, forcing Nokt and the remaining Spectral Dragonians to retreat. Kai hurled his Reveal Blade at Nokt's magical flute, releasing most of the souls he stole and the blade also returned to Kai's hands.

For Whom the Bell Tolls[]

Frak and Kai took a hollowed Cole back to the Monastery of Spinjitzu, with their Reveal Blades on their backs. Frak took his blade with him when he and Sora, Wyldfyre, Riyu, and Zanth went to Djinjago.

When Doves Cry[]

Frak continued to carry his Reveal Blade when Zanth arrived in Djinjago. He didn't use it to battle the Freebooters who arrived to steal Djinn artifacts or in Rapton's case a rare Djinjagan Unicorn figurine. After the Freeboothers left, and Rapton threw two bombs, Frak regained his Reveal Blade and went into the Cave of Bells with Sora, Wyldfyre, and Riyu. Taking the bell ringer, Frak had it on his back, across from his Reveal Blade, when he climbed up to rigns the bells.

Kai carried his Reveal Blade to help Nya in Mysterium. He had it on his back when he convinced Powerlid to talk to Gandalaria. Kai still had his blade on his back when he and Nya manage to get the doves to sing.

Chaos Reigns[]

In the midst of the invasion of the Caves of Bells in Djinjago and Mysterium by Kur and Zarkt, Frak and Kai used their Reveal Blades to unveil the Spectral Dragonians, who attacked the ninja. In Mysterium, Kai used his Reveal Blade, successfully vanquishing several Spectral Dragonians, all the while hoping that their souls would be liberated rather than facing permanent destruction.

Meanwhile, in Djinjago, Frak clung to the hope that his Reveal Blade would still function effectively as he took down multiple Spectral Dragonians. Sora was taken aback to discover that the design of the Reveal Blades originated from the Imperians. As Kur planned to destroy the Focus crystals, Frak handed over his Reveal Blade to distract Kur, allowing Wyldfyre to engage the Spectral Dragonians with it. Wyldfyre boldly declared she wanted to keep the sword, but when she attempted to strike Kur, the latter countered her attack with Shatterspin, sending her sprawling and causing her to lose the Reveal Blade, which Frak promptly reclaimed after Kur was defeated by Riyu. Kai and Frak kept the Reveal Blades when they were unexpectedly transported to unfamiliar lands when they used the portal gates.

Season 4[]

Both blades were eventually lost during the ninja's adventures. Kai lost his when him, Nya and Jay were spat out by the Kwilish in the Land of Madness, while Frak's fell off his back and was missing upon their arrival in Umbrasilvis after falling into a mysterious hole in the plain land after Riyu tacked him and Sora.

Trivia[]

It is unknown which of the two standard Prismatic Blades were converted into the Reveal Blades.
Although it was said that the Reveal Blades were designed to eliminate ghosts, it was suggested by Kai that they could instead free the souls of those struck by the blades, as he hoped that this would occur for the Spectral Dragonians, whose souls had been taken by Thunderfang, when they were dissipated by the Reveal Blades.^[2]
The Reveal Blades are similar to the Aeroblades which were made specifically to defeat ghosts.
