Cole's Challenge!

Radical Racers[]

On an evening in the outskirts of Ninjago City, Kai prepares to race against Octanius of the Radical Racers. With a countdown by Fugi-Dove, the participants start their engines and take off! Although Kai takes an early lead in the race, Octanius activates his car's secret booster and overtakes the Ninja of Fire, smashing through to secure victory. When a victorious Octanius steps towards the wreckage of Kai's vehicle, he discovers to his surprise that the ninja has gone missing! Unbeknownst to everyone, "Kai" reveals herself as Chamille, Master of Form, who sneaks away snickering to herself that the ninja would now take the blame for her escape.

The next day, at Steeper Wisdom, the Ninja - including the real Kai - are hard at work tidying up the shop while bemoaning about Cole's karaoke from the night before. As if on cue, Cole then wandered into the shop, singing a tune, much to everyone else's chagrin. Cole's singing fortunately would be interrupted by the arrival of Octanius and the Radical Racers. Singling out Kai as a "loser," Octanius demanded his agreed upon prize of Traveler's Tea - a request denied by Lloyd as Kai looked on in confusion. As the Radical Racers began to threaten the ninja, Kai halted any further escalation by proposing a new deal to Octanius: if he could beat him in a race tonight, the Radical Racers would have to clean up Steeper Wisdom; if Octanius won again, he would receive his traveler's tea. Amused by the Red Ninja's terms, Octanius agreed under the condition that they raced under Radical Racer Rules: specifically, Kai would have to race in the same car he supposedly used the night before - which had been left in its wrecked state!

Splitting up, Lloyd and Zane headed to Yang Tavern to search for Chamille while the other four ninja worked to repair Kai's alleged car. At Yang Tavern, Lloyd began to question the bartender, though his vague questions failed to produce any answers. As he began to think on a better way to phrase his questions, a familiar voice called out, attracting Lloyd's attention as he laid eyes on none other than Harumi. Surprised by the sight, Lloyd began to follow Harumi who claimed that Chamille had just passed by, leading him to the tavern's storeroom. When Lloyd expressed skepticism, "Harumi" immediately hit him in the back of the head with a bat before taking on her true form as Chamille.

Elsewhere, Zane was returning to the ground floor of the tavern, muttering to himself that searching for Chamille was surprisingly harder than he had expected. As he turned his head, Zane was surprised to see P.I.X.A.L. closing a door behind her. After some brief questioning however, Zane suspected something was off as P.I.X.A.L. was not acting the way she normally does and demanded to know what was behind the door she was closing.

Elsewhere, Kai and the other four ninja had successfully repaired Chamille's car and Kai was preparing to race against Octanius. With a count down from Fugi-Dove, both racers took off! As Kai quickly gained a lead against Octanius, the latter admitted he was impressed with Kai's driving; in fact he was doing better than last night! However, the scoundrel had other tricks up his sleeves and deployed his car's oil traps. Caught in the slick, Kai slid out of control and was overtaken by Octanius. Elsewhere, Lloyd and Zane regrouped with the rest of the ninja and updated them on their search for Chamille.

With Octanius now in the lead, Kai grumbled angrily under his breath about racing against a cheater. While Octanius basked in his near victory, something along the side of the road caught his attention. "Jeffery!" called out an elderly lady, "Go home and wash the dishes!" she said as Octanius stared in disbelief, uttering in confusion, "Mom?" Distracted by the sight of his mother, Octanius crashed into a streetlamp and was sent flying out of his vehicle as Kai sped to the finish line. As the ninja celebrated Kai's victory, they admitted they were confused as to where Octanius' mother came from, to which Lloyd smiled and replied that he and Zane managed to convince Chamille make amends. Elsewhere, Chamille reverted to her regular form, murmuring to herself that she had to get away before Octanius could find his mother.
