Overview
Fugi-Dove is a criminal and a former inmate at Kryptarium Prison. He helped Ultra Violet and the Mechanic escape prison. He is a supposed supervillain and told a story involving the ninja. He was captured by P.I.X.A.L..
When Unagami broke out all the Kryptarium inmates, a rejected Fugi-Dove simply went off to feed pigeons before being captured by Ronin.
One year later, when Samurai X and Dareth freed the ninja from prison, Fugi-Dove stowed away and joined them. The group made their way to Twitchy Tim's gas station, where Fugi-Dove valiantly gave himself up to the police to allow Jay and the other ninja to escape.
Fugi-Dove later broke out again, along with Ultra Violet, Killow and Ronin, all of whom rescue P.I.X.A.L. and a dismantled Zane before getting them to Cyrus Borg for repairs. He fought among the Resistance, which ended in victory.
At some point several years after the Merge, Fugi-Dove ended up stuck in a tree in the Crossroads. At a similar time, he met Kreel and fell in love with her, but their relationship ended since she refused to be seen with him in public.

Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu[]
The Absolute Worst[]
Fugi-Dove found Ultra Violet and the Mechanic in the sewer in the process of escaping Kryptarium Prison, talking about which ninja is the worst before he made his presence known, even becoming confused at his name. They decide to pass the time by sharing stories about their hated ninja. For Ultra Violet, it was Zane, whom she tried to fight one on one with, even though Fugi-Dove knew the truth.
For the Mechanic, it was Nya, who stole his truck after defeating him, even though Fugi-Dove knew she was too kind to do such a thing.
When it came to his turn, Fugi-Dove stated it was Jay, recounting a tale of how he had just pulled off a heist at the City Bank, effortlessly defeating Lloyd, Kai, and Cole before Jay arrived, riding on Lightning. According to Fugi-Dove, Jay swiftly subdued him and bound him with a rope made of lightning. However, both the Mechanic and Ultra Violet dismissed Fugi-Dove's account as completely made up, pointing out that Jay had not even used Lightning correctly in his version of events. Seconds later, the three manage to find a grate and escape the prison, only for them all to be captured by Samurai X. Fugi-Dove shared the same opinion as the Mechanic and Ultra Violet, agreeing that Samurai X is the worst. However, this led Samurai X to asked who Fugi-Dove was, not recognizing him at all. This irritated Fugi-Dove, who insisted that he was indeed Fugi-Dove. Despite his claims, Samurai X couldn't find any criminal history linked to him. Frustrated, Fugi-Dove attempted to use his catchphrase, but instead, he ended up being sent back to Kryptarium along with the Mechanic and Ultra Violet.
Prime Empire[]
Level Thirteen[]
When Unagami breaks out all of the prisoners and The Mechanic offered Ultra Violet and Captain Soto a place in Unagami's army, Fugi-Dove asks if he could join, only to end up rejected. When they reach Borg Tower to find the original Prime Empire game cabinet, Ultra Violet reprimands The Mechanic for not bringing Fugi-Dove along, as he could 'fly' all the way to the top, unaware that he is exploring the city, leaving any passerby uneasy around him. While trying to find a way to get past a drone, Soto asks if they could call Fugi-Dove, unaware that he was feeding pigeons.
The Prodigal Father[]
When Master Wu is looking at security cameras, he finds Fugi-Dove feeding pigeons.
The Island[]
Uncharted[]
A news article shows that Fugi-Dove was feeding pigeons in a park when he had been captured by Ronin after a seemingly long time.
Crystalized[]
Hounddog McBrag[]
Fugi-Dove was among the prisoners to trash detail, where he started to talk with his 'nemesis' Jay, who was confused at who he was, even when he tried to get him to remember, which he does not at all. While on the ride, Fugi-Dove tries to make conversation with Jay about their 'rivalry', even attempting to come up with a name for him when the bus stopped to help an 'old man.' It turned out to be a diversion as Samurai X soon broke Jay and the other Ninja out. While in their getaway vehicle, Fugi-Dove had somehow stowed away in their provided clothes and started to lecture Jay on criminal ways, annoying him. After the engine blew a piston, the Ninja attempted to lose Fugi-Dove, who managed to follow them to keep lecturing Jay, and during their plan to split up and reach Twitchy Tim's gas station, went with Jay, who became extremely annoyed at his bird calls.
The Fifth Villain[]
Still heading to the gas station, Fugi-Dove keeps 'lecturing' Jay, as well as coming up with the name, 'BlueJay' as his criminal name. Upon reaching the road, Fugi-Dove then got out a bottle of water he smuggled to empty and throw the bottle aside to litter, shocking Cole before the former revealed he is waiting for his invitation into the Council of the Crystal King, giving Lloyd an idea. Reaching the gas station, and reuniting with Kai, Zane, and Dareth, they start to plan to target who they believe would be next before agreeing on the Mechanic. Hearing the police and Hounddog McBrag arriving and with no room behind the counter, Fugi-Dove took Jay behind a shelf, until Twitchy inadequately revealed the others' location before telling Jay he'll hold them off and throws him in the back room. He then pushed the shelves down and made his presence known before jumping on top of McBrag before telling the others to run while he is pounced on by the other officers and immediately arrested afterwards.
After The Fifth Villain[]
Fugi-Dove was sent back to Kryptarium Prison.
Return of the Ice Emperor[]
Fugi-Dove, along with Ultra Violet, Killow and Ronin escape Kryptarium Prison when the power went out before Ronin convinced them to help save Ninjago, and made Fugi-Dove cry for mentioning making their mothers proud. Seizing a bus, the group rescues P.I.X.A.L. and a dismantled Zane before taking them to Borg Tower, during which Fugi-Dove claimed he was the one that convinced them, only to be chewed by Ultra Violet, who tells P.I.X.A.L. the truth.
Compatible[]
Upon receiving one of Cyrus Borg's mechs, Fugi-Dove began to call himself Mecha-Dove, but as he used his mech, accidentally destroys Cyrus' screen. Later, when P.I.X.A.L. was able to get the reassembled Zane to wake up, Fugi-Dove began to cry, but doesn't admit it to Ultra Violet when she saw him.
An Issue of Trust[]
Fugi-Dove, Ronin, Killow, and Ultra Violet met up with the Resistance at the newspaper warehouse. During the final battle, Fugi-Dove and the other members of the Resistance charge at the crystal army.
Dragon Form[]
Fugi-Dove, along with the Resistance, tries to hold of the Crystal Warriors.
Roots[]
Fugi-Dove helps rebuild the monastery, though he plays with some roof shingles.
After Roots[]
After the monastery was rebuilt, Fugi-Dove was presumably pardoned, due to his efforts in the Final Battle, or continued serving his sentence in Kryptarium Prison until he was paroled prior to the Merge and at some point begun a relationship with a woman named Kreel.
Dragons Rising, Season 2[]
The Blood Moon (screen)[]
Fugi-Dove somehow ends up stuck in a tree before Kai tries to help the former down, but he refuses by flapping a wing at Kai.

Crossroads' Crosstalk[]
Casserole![]
Because of Rapton's cooing, Lobbo blamed Fugi-Dove for stealing his casserole. Kreel tried to prove Fugi-Dove is innocent by saying he is allergic to casserole, which led Lobbo to ask how she knows that. Not wanting to reveal she is dating Fugi-Dove, Kreel said her date might have said he is allergic to Casserole. Lobbo didn't believe it, which caused Kreel to say more things that proves Fugi-Dove is innocent. Lobbo also did not believe this.
Because of Lobbo not believing her, Kreel called Fugi-Dove on the phone, with Lobbo questioning how she knows his number. During their conversation, Fugi-Dove answered the phone and thought Kreel was breaking up with him because of her choice of words. However, Kreel passed it off and asked him if he was the one who stole the casserole, which he replied he was not. Lobbo called him a liar even though Fugi-Dove again said he is not. He then said he went to the arcade because he loves the bird hunting game it has, which Kreel finds weird. Then he says he is allergic to any kind of casserole, which Lobbo tries to deny it since he heard his "world-famous" cooing. Fugi-Dove said it could have been someone trying to blame him, someone who was simply enjoying the satisfying feeling cooing gives, or maybe it was a real bird. Kreel thanks him for answering and Fugi-Dove responds by thanking her for letting him clear his name from the investigation. He then says he is waiting for her in the apartment, but Kreel closes the phone before he can finish his sentence and says it was the wrong number, though Lobbo still thinks Fugi-Dove stole the casserole.
Prior to Convention![]
Fugi-Dove's relationship with Kreel ended since Kreel refused to be seen with him in the public.

Behind the scenes
Behind the scenes[]
- He was first seen in a clip shown at Comic-Con 2019.[1]
- His wings are based on the LEGO design first used on the Chicken Suit Guy from Minifigures Series 9. In physical form, this part serves as a replacement for a Minifigure's arm.
- His original design was going to be based on an owl.[2]
Trivia
Trivia[]
- His name is a pun on "fugitive," which Ultra Violet assumes is what he says when introduced.
- His name in the German translation is "Flüchtigal," which is based on the German word for "Flightingale."
- The running gag involving Fugi-Dove, established in "The Absolute Worst," is that he is unrecognized despite being a criminal.
- This is referenced in "Ninjago Confidential" when P.I.X.A.L. doesn't recognize his name despite meeting him and learning his name in the former episode.
- In "Uncharted," P.I.X.A.L. does not question Lloyd on the name, meaning she remembers him sometime after.
- In "Return of the Ice Emperor," Ronin calls him 'some guy in a bird suit.'
- His shirt appears to be badly damaged, with a tear exposing his skin and what looks like stitching.
- He previously hated Jay the most and thought he was the absolute worst ninja, claiming Jay was the one who defeated him, though it's unknown if this is true or not.
- By the end of "The Absolute Worst," together with the Mechanic and Ultra Violet, Fugi-Dove agrees that Samurai X is the worst.
- He occasionally coos like a bird to mimic that of which his motif is based on.
- His brother copied him to try and get Zane and P.I.X.A.L. to remember him in "Ninjago Confidential".
- It is unknown what he was imprisoned for, as according to P.I.X.A.L., he doesn't have a criminal record.
- Chris "Doc" Wyatt explains that Fugi-Dove lacks a criminal record because he was so forgettable that even the officers who arrested him forgot to enter his information into the criminal database.[3]
- Adrian Petriw stated that he was imprisoned for "too many unpaid parking tickets."[4]
- This committed crime makes it similar to Moe De Luca from the video game LEGO City Undercover.
- In his fabricated story, he can fly. It is unknown if this is true or if it was just made up by him.
- Ultra Violet seems to believe that he can.
- He hasn't been seen interacting with his brother.
- Tommy Andreasen once joked that Fugi-Dove could have a show of his own.[5]
- He presumably has typoglycemia as he read a newspaper in "Level Thirteen", upside down.
- He likes to feed pigeons.[8][9]
- His Polish voice actor - Aleksander Sosiński, also voices Lloyd in The LEGO Ninjago Movie.
- In "Papergirl," there's a depiction of Fugi-Dove with large biceps graffitied onto a wall, this drawing was created by Joshua Deck and has been nicknamed "Fugi-Buff".
- When asked if Fugi-Dove is single, Tommy Andreasen answered: "Who would ever live up to his epicness?"[10] Evidently, he ended up with Kreel in Dragons Rising.
- According to Tommy Andreasen, his hair is messy.[11]
- When asked whether Fugi-Dove is homosexual, Andreasen said he has no idea.[12]
- His relationship with Kreel proves he is heterosexual, but possibly bisexual.
- When asked whether there could be a season focused on Dareth with Fugi-Dove as the main villain, Andreasen responded "NO!"[13] and "I'm pretty sure FugiDove would be up for that. He would need to fund it though."[14]
- It is implied that he has a complicated relationship with his mother, as he cries when Ronin mentions the word "mommas."[15]
- He is terribly allergic to every type of casserole.[17]
- With him and Kreel confirmed to be dating, this marks the first Ninjago couple to be made of one character from each series, with Fugi-Dove from Ninjago and Kreel from Ninjago: Dragons Rising.
