Iceklaw is the Ice Bear Tribe's official historian, serving as a battlefield consultant to General Icerlot.

Background[]
Hailing from the Ice Bear Tribe, Iceklaw served as the tribe's official historian. Like the other Ice Bears, he was taught by the Phoenix, who sought to give the Tribes of Chima a new way of life. However, Iceklaw and the other Ice Bears struggled to accept the Phoenix's teachings of civilization, as their instincts often drove them to behave in ways that conflicted with the ideals they had been taught. Whenever they gave in to their natural instincts, the Phoenix scolded them and treated their nature as something that needed to be corrected. Over time, Iceklaw and the other Ice Bears grew frustrated with being told that their instincts were wrong. When Sir Fangar sought to conquer all of Chima, Iceklaw joined him, becoming one of the Hunters. Despite joining Fangar, the Ice Bears frequently refused Sir Fangar's orders and instead followed their own nature.[1]
The Phoenix Elders eventually attempted to stop the Hunters with the Great Illumination, hoping that its power would purify them. However, Fluminox back downed at the last second because he couldn't leave his son, Flinx, behind. Without Fluminox, the Great Illumination became unbalanced. Iceklaw and the other Hunters fought against the Illumination with all their strength. The Illumination retaliated, creating the Gorge of Eternal Depth and casting the Hunters into it. Its immense power drained so much heat from the Fangs that Iceklaw and the other Hunters were frozen in ice.[2][3]

Iceklaw and the other Ice Bears attacked the Bear Tribe in their dream.
The Heart of Cavora[]
The Ice Bears came to the battle at the Lion City and turned the tide in Sir Fangar's favor. However, the Brown Bears arrived and easily defeated the Ice Bears.
Following the Second Great Illumination, all of the Hunters, including Iceklaw, were purified

History is written by the winner. When the Ice Bears win, it is written by Iceklaw. He is the smartest of the Ice Bears and the official historian of the tribe. He can take the story of a victory and make it into the legend of a triumph. He also documents opponents, their fighting style, their tactics and their weaknesses. He knows all the moves and can spot a trap or diversion from miles away. In battle he functions as a consultant for General Icerlot, helping him figure out what the enemy is up to and what would be the best way to move forward. If confronted in a fight, he will not bow down, but show everybody that the pen is truly mightier than the sword.[1]
