Eye of the Tiger was the fifth story on the Explore section of the 2015 Chima.LEGO.com website.[1] It tells the history of the Tiger Tribe.

Endangered Species[]
In the First Hunter War the Tunnel Cats were Sir Fangar’s strongest foes. Desperate for victory and blinded by his rage, Sir Fangar sent a group of his army to attack the Tiger village, while it was unprotected. The goal was to make the Tiger Tribe fall apart, but it only strengthened them. It showed them exactly whose hands Chima could fall into, if they did not win.
Saved by the Phoenix[]
The Tigers that got away that day fled for the then still grounded Mount Cavora, and were met with open arms by the Phoenix. The Phoenix recognized their responsibility in what had happened and gave Tormak and his Tunnelcats Fire CHI, so they could fight the Hunter tribes more effectively.
Protect the Protector[]
After the cowardly attack on their village, the Tigers decided that they would never again be defenseless. Therefore, everyone in the tribe were trained in the art of fighting; men, women, and children. Children began their training from the day they could stand. This lead to the tribe becoming so skilled at fighting, that they soon surpassed their previous protectors, the Phoenix. That is why they started The Royal Phoenix Guards, where only the best of the best could serve.

The Tigers used to be a very peaceful tribe, but Sir Fangar’s cowardly sneak attack on their village taught them that one must always be prepared. Therefore, they have become the tribe best skilled in fighting and training in battle in all of Chima. They are fast, strong, loyal, and very intelligent. Even the Phoenix had to admit this and confidently left the security of the Fire Temple in their capable hands. Or should we say paws?
Tazar[]
Tormak is the commanding officer of the Tigers, but he is always at the very front of the battle with his men. His second in command is Tazar, who has the very important job of piloting the Tiger Mobile Command. Tazar is a quiet leader and far less experienced than Tormak, but he is determined and dedicated. What he lacks in experience, he makes up for with his fighting heart and his love for the Tigers under his command.
Trakkar[]
Trakkar is a specialized fighter in the Tiger forces. Riding his Tiger Pursuit Bike, he gathers intelligence and information from different parts of a battle. He is also responsible for the high-tech communication base that separates from the Tiger Mobile Command. From this base, Trakkar coordinates the different Tiger units across the battlefield, giving the Tigers a strong tactical edge. Trakkar is also the Tiger that can repair sensitive equipment in a matter of minutes.

Tiger Mobile Command[]
The Tiger Mobile Command is a very important vehicle for the battle tactics of the Tigers. The Tiger Communication Base detaches from its back and scans the battlefield with radar, letting the different Tiger vehicles communicate with each other. The Mobile Command has great big caterpillar tracks instead of wheels, so the ice of the Hunters cannot steer it off course. And it is not a defenseless vehicle. It is armed with pulse cannons, and when it is fired up with Fire CHI, hidden disc shooters appear and quickly make any attacker lose their cool.
Tiger Pursuit Bike[]
The Mobile Command can also unleash the fierce Tiger Pursuit Bikes. These bikes are incredibly fast and let the rider, often Trakkar, shoot from place to place and gather intelligence from the battlefield for transmission via the Tiger Communication Base. However, the primary purpose is to be able to follow the enemy forces wherever they go. The bike is equipped with a very fast, but also very silent engine, and both the wheels and the body of the bike have been specially designed for stealth operation.

As the ultimate battle for CHIMA rages, and Sir Fangar his forces get ever closer to Mount Cavora... Two speeding Tiger Tanks zoom into view, snow flying...
Tazar: "Let’s get those Ice Bears! Power up!!" The Power Up function kicks in, but stops again, due to the build up of too much ice...
Tazar: "This is NOT what I need" The defective Tiger Tank takes a direct hit from one of the Ice Bear’s mighty Claw Drillers...
Tzar: "Waaaawooo!!!" … And rolls off down an icy slope, throwing its Tiger pilot head first into the deep snow … Tazar: "Correction. THIS is not what I need..." The Tiger Tank comes to halt. Pulling himself out of the snow, the shaken pilot looks at the smoke rising from his vehicle’s damaged engine.
Trakkar: "What are we going to do now?!" Tazar: "How are we going to fix it, out here?" From nowhere, Breezor the Beaver appears, carrying a large spanner… Breezor: "FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT!!!"
In no time at all, the busy Breezor has constructed a wooden lift, to raise up the tank... Whistling and humming to himself, Breezor disappears under the raised vehicle’s body… Breezor: "Fufu… lalala … Fiii … Fix it!" …reappearing, he makes some adjustments with his giant spanner...
…And holds up a frozen, damaged hose... Breezor: "Ahaa! Fix this!!" "Breezor fix it! Lalala … Now you fix Ice Bears!" The Tiger pilot gets back on board, as Breezor tells him to start up his engine…
The newly-repaired Tiger Tank thunders into life and roars back up the slope... This time, the Power Up works perfectly... Enabling the Tiger Tank to launch its Fire Disc missiles…
…And scores a direct hit on an Ice Bear Claw Driller! Trakkar: "Got him!!" Tazar: "Yeah! That’s what I’m talking about..." Breezor and the Tiger Tank pilots celebrate, as the Claw Driller, damaged beyond repair, falls smoking to the ground…

Claw Week[]
Every year Tormak gathers all the young, aspiring Tigers who want to join the Royal Guards, and brings them on a little tour of Chima. It is called the Claw Week and is a journey through all the landscapes of Chima, including the tunnels and caves of the underground. The rules are simple: Keep up with Tormak or you are out. If you are seen by anyone other than the aspirants, you are out. If you fail any of the many tests that Tormak gives you, you are out. Usually only about ten percent pass the tests and move on to the actual training for the Royal Guards.
Test of Fire[]
The final test of the Royal Guards is a test of loyalty. According to Tormak, this is the single most important trait of a Royal Guard. The young guards are given a direct order to walk through a scorching wall of fire that looks and feels like the real thing. It is a hard choice. If they refuse they are out. If they obey they could die. Most close their eyes and walk into the flames. The flames are not dangerous, but the act shows their complete trust and dedication. Now they are Royal Tiger Guards.
