The Lariat Launchers^[1] are prototype capture devices used by members of the Explorer's Club to hunt down the Mutation Monster.

Tonight We Hunt Monsters[]

The Lariat Launchers were distributed among the party of explorers in Umbrasilvis to help capture the lurking monster within the village. Prior to their search, Reginald demonstrated one of the devices on Gweeg to the latter's frustration.

Upon encountering the Mutation Monster, the Lariat Launchers proved to be ineffective against the monster, as the explorers ended up either capturing each other accidentally or the Mutation Monster managed to break free from the ropes.

Seed and Soil[]

As Wyldfyre and Frak were fighting the escaped and transformed Mutation Monster, Gweeg used a Lariat Launcher once more as a distraction, successfully landing a hit on the monster.
