Overview
Techno-cocoons (also known as tech cells[1]) are a type of stasis pod that can contain a Nindroid and keep them in hibernation. Zane and P.I.X.A.L. ended up in separate cocoons after The Merge. They seem to appear in newly established monasteries after The Merge. Kai and Nya released Zane from his cocoon. Zane released P.I.X.A.L. from her cocoon.

The Calm Inside[]
When Kai and Nya continue to explore where they are since Kai was at the monastery and Nya was in the Cloud Kingdom respectively, having followed what looked like a ghost and went through a gate that they believe is a portal to a strange monastery. The two soon thing the orb ghost is Wu and they followed the orb to a strange capsule.
The two start to work on the capsule. After tweaking from Nya and repeated kicks from Kai, the capsule opens, revealing Zane, who had been deactivated since the Merge.
We Are All Dragons[]
In the Imperium Teen Resistance Force's hideout, Nya discovers Zane's stasis pod from the Monastery of Imperium, and Percival explains that it was stripped apart, including the portal gate, which was why pieces of it were in the Land of Lost Things.

The Great Zane Robbery[]
After a successful pillaging, the Freebooters emerged from a portal gate in the First Land Monastery carrying a purple techno-cocoon. They then loaded it aboard their train, but were unaware that Zane had followed them onboard. Zane then made his way to the cocoon and activated it, releasing P.I.X.A.L. who had been encased within. As the pair reunited, Zane mentioned how he had been encased within a similar cocoon inside the Monastery of Imperium, though he could not explain how or why.
