In a home in a small village in the outskirts of Ninjago City, a husband and wife have sat down for a meal together when suddenly the furniture in their home began levitating. Recognizing his wife's terror, the man sent her outside for her safety while he attempted to put a stop to the strangeness. As things fell silent within the home, the woman asked her husband if he was alright, but received no answer. She then peeked through the window to check on him and was horrified by what she saw.
Meanwhile at Steep Wisdom, Kai and Jay discussed whether or not they would ever be able to save Lloyd from his possession. Suddenly, their slow day would be interrupted by the sound of screaming. Rushing outside to see what commotion was going on, the two spotted the woman running towards them while being pursued by a pair of Skreemers. Thinking quickly, both ninja hurled their Aeroblades at the ghostly creatures, destroying them as the woman ran inside and asked Wu for help. Half an hour later, the four ninja made their way towards the woman's village. As they walked through a forest, the surrounding trees suddenly began to bend towards the ninja, emitting a ghastly green glow. Using their aeroblades, however, the ninja were able to effortless slice down the trees and destroy the Skreemers that had been possessing them. Arriving in the village, the ninja were met by a young girl who pleaded for their help, exclaiming that her uncle was imprisoned inside their home's mirror. As it turned out, the Ghost Warriors had possessed all of the mirrors in the town and imprisoned many of the townsfolk inside of them.
For a brief moment, the ninja wondered how they could possibly rescue the people imprisoned within. Kai suggested smashing the mirrors, though Zane quickly stopped him, warning that if they broke the mirror, there was a possibility the people trapped inside could never escape. Cole then had an idea; since had had been turned into a ghost and ghosts could possess objects, couldn't he then be able to enter the mirror himself? As it turned out, Cole's plan worked perfectly and he was able to rescue the man trapped within and destroy the ghost possessing the mirror as well. Carried on by their success, the ninja rushed out to rescue the rest of the townsfolk as well. As soon as they stepped out of the home however, they found themselves confronted by all the Ghost Warriors occupying the town, including Ghoultar. "The ninja figured out our plan too fast!" lamented one of the spirits, "We must hold them up!"
Outnumbered, the ninja ran across a wooden bridge atop a lake as they attempted to pick off their pursuers one by one. Cole suddenly thought up a plan, and all four used their Airjitzu to kick up the water from the lake, dousing it all over the army of ghosts and banishing them back to the Cursed Realm. With the ghosts defeated, the ninja rescued the remaining townsfolk as Jay asked if the other ninja really thought they all looked better than he did.

Trivia[]
- The comic from this issue was republished in Ghost Ninja.
- Despite being a ghost, Cole seemed to have no problem diving into the lake to kick up water with Airjitzu. However, its possible he was just simply hovering above the water, though it is not clearly depicted in the panel.
- This comic depicts Ghoultar's second destruction, having been destroyed in the prior issue as well.
- This conflicts with the tv series, where he was not defeated until the events of "The Crooked Path".
