Zane's PIXAL Project
Zane's PIXAL Project[]
At the Monastery of Spinjitzu, Zane watches Arin and Sora test out a grappling hook attached to the Elemental Technology Mech, inevitably being reminded of P.I.X.A.L. and her passion to build technology. To calm his feelings Zane goes to P.I.X.A.L.'s old lab, where he finds Mr. Frohicky cleaning up. However, Zane becomes alarmed when he notices some Nindroid parts are missing, and Mr. Frohicky tells him that he took them to Kreel's junkyard, so Zane takes his Spinjitzu Race Car to the junkyard.
When he arrives there, he makes his way past some security bots and asks Kreel for the parts back. But Kreel tells him that she already used the parts to make K.R.E.E.L., a replica of herself and tells him it stands for Key Replica Ectomorph Embodying a Lady. Zane figures he can INSERT his memories into K.R.E.E.L. to give her P.I.X.A.L.'s conscience. It doesn't work and it activates K.R.E.E.L. with her basic programming of self-preservation. K.R.E.E.L. starts to attack them and Kreel says they should shut her off, but Zane stops her.
K.R.E.E.L. starts building a mech for herself. Kreel tries to shut her off again with Zane stopping her once more. K.R.E.E.L. using the mech knocks Zane away. Realizing Zane won't be much help, Kreel and Lobbo go to get Cole. When they arrive Cole tells Zane that K.R.E.E.L. isn't P.I.X.A.L. and that they'll find her. Zane realizing his error decides to help. Kreel and Lobbo use their Mechs to destroy K.R.E.E.L. and her mech. K.R.E.E.L.s face flies toward Zane with him picking it up. Cole says that Zane held the ninja motto: "Ninja never quit" with Zane saying he'll never quit trying to find P.I.X.A.L.
Appearances
Trivia
Trivia[]
- This issue was originally called "Attack of the Mutant Nindroid."
- In the comic, Kreel and Lobbo are depicted as co-owners of the junkyard. However, it's unknown if this is meant to be canon, as it was shown in Season 3 that Lobbo had transitioned to owning an arcade and leading an industry, while Kreel remained the junkyard's owner. This suggests that Lobbo's time as a junkyard owner may have been brief or that the comic itself is non-canon.
Continuity[]
- At the end of the comic, Zane picks up K.R.E.E.L.’s face, a nod to when Cole picks up Zane's face towards the end of "The Titanium Ninja."
