Overview
“Closing a distance in the blink of an eye, the body itself in motion - IS Motion.”
— Glen Lakin on Bluesky[1]
Speed is an Elemental Power in the Merged Lands that is derived from the Source Dragon of Motion.[1] It is associated with the colors white and red/crimson and corresponds with the Speed Dragon.
Users' abilities
Users' abilities[]
- Superhuman Speed - The user can move at extreme speed.
- Extreme Force Generation - The user can generate great amounts of physical force (like kinetic energy or friction) with many uses, such as running up on walls.
- Wall Running- The user's super speed allows them to run along walls effortlessly.
- Superhuman Leaping - The user can use their super-speed to jump higher. For example, Turner used his Speed to leap higher during his fight with Gravis. It is possible that this ability can be used to do a double jump and a jump kick.
- Superhuman Agility - This ability allows the user to be drastically more agile. One example is in "The Invitation" when Turner ran rapidly around Chen's ferry while jumping over and dodging obstacles.
- Superhuman Dexterity - The user can perfectly control their limbs when running at super-speed.
- Superhuman Directionality - Users like Griffin appear to be able to move in any direction at super-speed without any interference.
- Superhuman Endurance/Stamina - Some users of Speed can move at super-speed for longer periods of time without tiring out.
- Accelerated Perception/Superhuman Reflexes - The user can see the world as if it is moving in slow-motion, allowing them to recover and process their thoughts quickly and react at unnatural speed.
- Flash Step/Instant Teleportation - As seen with Turner, the user appears to perform a burst of speed so fast it almost looked as if they have instantly teleported.
- Tribokinesis - Some users can possibly manipulate their friction when running at super-speed.
- Velocikinesis - Users of Speed can likely manipulate their velocity while at super-speed.
- Speed Physiology - The user's body is suited for movement at immense speeds.
- Momentum Defiance- As seen with Turner, the user appears to be able to ignore momentum while at super-speed.
- Environmental Adaptation/Perception - Some users can possibly adapt to and perceive the environment they run in.
- Acceleration/Speed Enhancement - The user can accelerate themselves at high speed, allowing them to increase and surpass the natural limitation of speed.
- Vortex Creation - The user can possibly create vortexes by running fast in a large circle.
- Speed-Based Strength - Users like Griffin can likely use their super speed to imitate superhuman strength.
- Speed Strike - The user can strike and slash at high speed, allowing them to punch, kick, cut, piece, smash, etc. at high speed effectively.
- Speed Reduction - Some users can possibly reduce their speed to move at a slower pace.
- Extreme Force Generation - The user can generate great amounts of physical force (like kinetic energy or friction) with many uses, such as running up on walls.
- Dragon Creation - The user can create a Speed Dragon.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- When the user uses the power of Speed, they leave behind a blurred trail of their colors in their wake. In Griffin's case, his blur is mostly red and white. In Skylor's case, her blur is mostly yellowish-orange and dark red.
- Griffin is not as fast as the Flash from DC Comics.[3] As such, this Element most likely does not allow him to travel through time[4] and cannot phase through things by vibrating their molecules.[5]
- In the pilot episodes, it was established that moving at a fast enough speed could grant one the ability to traverse the realms (as seen with the Skulkin and Dragons). However, despite that lore seemingly being upheld by the ending of "Lessons for a Master", it is currently unknown if a pre-Merge master of Speed could traverse the realms or not.
- Regarding what Turner's Spinjitzu Burst could be, Tommy Andreasen joked that he "would need to be at the Daytona 500?"[6]
- According to Chris "Doc" Wyatt, Speed is faster than the element of Reflex.[7] When asked about the difference between Speed and Reflex, he stated that Speed is starting at a full stop and going into a dead run, while Reflex is about reaction and redirecting incoming energy and motion.[8]
